Chapter 6: The Two New Talent Achievement Tasks

When Adam received the talent achievement task regarding the Ultimate Sharpshooter talent, he wasn’t that surprised since after he surfed the dark web, he was already exposed to various criminals and became well aware of their notoriety.

But seeing the condition for the talent achievement task regarding Ultimate Bodyguard talent, Adam’s heart skipped a beat, and ripples of emotions perforate through his heart.

“Wait, the school belle will be assassinated by Serpent Hand? Just what kind of identity does the school belle have to offend someone to the point of hiring Serpent Hand just to assassinate her?”

Adam exclaimed in surprise. He was staying all alone in his room in the morning so his action didn’t cause anyone to react towards him.

Not to mention, yesterday was Friday and today was Saturday. So Adam was having a normal weekend surfing the dark web.

“Is this a planned assassination? Even the time that Serpent Hand accepted this commission was on midnight Saturday. Not to mention, the payment for this commission is around a hundred million dollars.”

Adam was astonished about that since he knew that an assassination commission that cost around a hundred million dollars was only applicable to the sons and daughters of presidents, prime ministers, multi-millionaires, and even billionaires.

The payment for the assassination commission reflected how difficult the task was. And with the rules of the dark web regarding commissions, half was already paid in advance to Serpent Hand when Serpent Hand accepted the commission.

“Serpent Hand might not be the strongest assassin organization, but it is one of the top 10 in the entire world. At least, the probability of their success is within the range of 90%.”

“Even I am not confident that I can go up against them unless I hire the rest of the top 10 assassin organizations to assassinate the entire members of Serpent Hand. At least, I have enough cryptocurrencies to pull that off.”

While Adam was wary of the Serpent Hand’s power, he also didn’t forget to praise himself for being so wealthy.

If the Serpent Hand targeted him, can’t he just hire the rest of the assassin organizations to assassinate Serpent Hand?

Perhaps, only someone as rich and smart as Adam could think of such an absurd method.

There wasn’t anyone trillionaire yet in this world but from Adam’s estimations, his net worth should have already reached trillions of dollars if his cryptocurrencies were included. After all, Satania had already told him that his cryptocurrency wallet had stored 51% of the entire world’s cryptocurrency including bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

There was a reason why he told Satania beforehand to not obtain all of the cryptocurrencies. It to was to prevent them from negating the value of the cryptocurrency due to a lack of consumers using it.

It was like someone hoarding all of the dollars in the world. Since they could no longer use it, they might as well create a new currency that could be used again.

It was one of the reasons why not spending money and hoarding it was bad for the economy.

Adam never had any plans of not spending his money since money was created to be spent. But for now, he didn’t have any reasons to spend money and he wasn’t the type who would spend it pointlessly.

“But to think that the school belle was targeted by Serpent Hand. Her identity must be deeper than I have expected.”

“Of course, there is also the possibility that she was targeted by a perverted and sick stalker who has tendencies of necrophilia. After all, the world is a shit place to live in so it’s not impossible that a sick bastard like that was born.”

“Although, I have to admit. The school belle is indeed a beauty. At least, she used to be my crush when I was a freshman and she was in her second year of high school. Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury to enjoy a normal school life after those damn bastards bullied me when I am at my lowest.”

After several minutes worth of contemplation, Adam finally decided that he would protect the school belle to not only obtain her love but also obtain the Ultimate Bodyguard talent.

“If I want to protect the school belle, I need to have my personal combat power and skills. After all, it would be too inconvenient if I brought my bodyguard to protect her. At least, I would be able to earn her recognition better if I protected her by myself.”

“Otherwise, only I would have the last cry if the school belle fell in love with my bodyguard instead of myself.”

While Adam thought of that, he was very confident about his appearance.

Although he looked gloomy and sloppy, that was due to life wearing him down. And even when he wore glasses, he still looked handsome. At least, he was like the intelligent type of handsome man.

He might not be the most handsome man in the world, he should still look pleasing to the eye after he fixed and cleaned up his appearance.

With that confidence in mind, Adam was now prepared to make preparations regarding his task of protecting the school belle.

“Satania, inform my subordinates to bring 10 death row inmates into my mansion. Tell them to purchase as many high-end guns and grenades as well as ammo.”

Hearing Adam’s command, Satania who was inside his computer screen nodded her head and immediately heeded his command.

“Since I already have a mansion, I might as well visit it and prepare my weaponry.”

“I had already hacked Serpent Hand’s main server and it seems that they are still on the move regarding the commission of assassinating the school belle Amelia Wallenstein. So I still have a decent amount of time for my preparation.”
