011. UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

Just as he had hoped, Ciara enjoyed her time at fun world. When they first arrived, she said it felt childish to do stuff like that so she wanted to leave, but he was able to convince her to give it a try and she absolutely killed it at the wall climbing.

She had made reservations at a fancy restaurant for twelve PM, and when it was time for them to leave, she almost seemed reluctant.

The drive to the restaurant was a long but comfortable one. She still didn't talk about what was bothering her and he chose not to press further. When she was ready, he hoped she would open up to him on her own.

"The lasagna here is to die for." She said as they were shown to their seats.

"Really? Then I'll have that."

"Awesome. Two plates of lasagnas please." She ordered and the waiter bowed and walked away. "Their desserts are even better, I personally recommend the cheesecake."

"Then it must be delicious."

"Oh it is, trust me."

"I do."

When he said that Ciara froze up for a few seconds, staring intensely at him like she was trying to see into his soul.

He didn't know what she was thinking, but there was just one thing on his mind. She was beautiful.

It was clear to him that Ciara Fallon was the most beautiful woman in the whole world. Scratch that. She wasn't the most beautiful woman in the world, that would be a lie, because there were lots of good looking women in the world.

But to him, she was perfection.

She was the most beautiful woman to him, and she would continue to stay that way until his last breath.

"Your lasagnas," the waiter said, announcing his presence. "Enjoy."

After he left, Ciara cleared her throat and rose to her feet. "uh, I'll be back. I need to use the restroom."

"Okay, I'll be here." He said with a smile and her response was a slight nod before she walked away.

Not more than five minutes later, she returned and they continued with their lunch. They didn't talk much but just being alone with Ciara made Dominic feel relaxed.

None of her obnoxious cousins were around to insult him or say anything stupid or annoying. And her parents weren't there to criticize him every five seconds.

After their lunch, surprisingly Ciara asked that they went back to fun world, she said since she was outside, she might as well enjoy her Saturday to the fullest.

They stayed out till past seven PM before going back to the Fallon house.

"And where the hell have you two been?" Florence, his mother -in -law questioned as they drove in the wide compound.

"We went on a date mother, and I am quite tired so can we please just go in?"

"A date! Did you just say a date?" Her nostrils were flared in anger. "After what you told me this morning, you still have the guts to while away the entire day doing nonsense with this… this son of a b*tch!" Then almost like she was noticing Dominic for the first time, she turned to him, her face scrunted up in a deep scowl. "And you, why won't you just disappear from our lives?

This family is going to be so much better off without a deadbeat like you tainting our name."

"I'm sorry if that's how you feel mother, but your daughter is the best thing to ever happen to me and letting her go, would be the dumbest mistake I could ever make. So I hope you can warm up to me soon."

Florence looked like she wanted to slap Dominic and he just smiled at her. He turned to Ciara and saw that she was staring at him again, the same expression on her face from back at the restaurant.

"Dear, shall we go in?" He held her hand, and her reaction was priceless. She looked down at their entangled hands, then quickly back at his face, and Dominic could almost swear that she was blushing.

He led her into their apartment and she didn't resist or say anything. "You can go ahead and shower, I'll wait."

"Okay."

After she left, Dominic fell to his bed, the level of happiness he was feeling was even more than the day he got married.

He just spent a whole day with Ciara, and it felt like she was actually enjoying his company. That was all he ever asked for, for her to be happy with him. He closed his eyes, smiling to himself and soon, he was fast asleep.

"I heard you met the CEO of the DnD real estates."

"That's not exactly the right way to greet your sister first thing in the morning, or don't you think so?"

"What were you thinking sis? The CEO of that great company asked you out, and you said no."

"I am a married woman George, and you were expecting me to just give myself to some stranger that I don't know because I want to work with him? What kind of woman do you take me for?"

"Did you just say you're a married woman? And who's the husband? Surely you're not referring to that useless idiot as your husband.

What has gotten into you sis? You're not the same person I know anymore.

You know how working with this conpany is important us, so why would you waste such a golden opportunity?"

"Well if it's so golden, then why don't you sleep with him?!" She stormed off, leaving her brother shaking his head in disappointment.

"You know, you should be ashamed of yourself." Dominic had overheard every single word they said, and he was boiling with rage. How dare Preston say such a thing? Dominic definitely couldn't forgive that mistake.

"Excuse me?" George sneered with disdain.

"Asking your sister to offer her body to a man all because of a contract. If she made such a suggestion, you as her older brother, your duty would be to convince her against it."

"And when I do that, are you going to help her get the partnership we're looking for?"

"I just might."

"Listen here you little twat, I don't like you–"

"The feeling is mutual brother -in -law. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to head to work." He pushed past his brother -in -law who looked like he was about to explode.

He didn't have the time for petty discussion, he needed to discipline Preston.

Thinking back, that was probably what caused an argument between Ciara and her mother, knowing Florence, it was no wonder she said Ciara was an idiot. If she were the one presented with such an offer, Dominic was very sure she wouldn't have refused.

When he arrived at the DnD real estates, he marched straight to Preston's office. "What is the meaning –" he paused as he slowly accessed the scene that was playing out right in front of his eyes.

Preston was pressed against a young woman that seemed in her early or mid twenties. She was seated on his desk, and his body was pressed to hers.

When he noticed Dominic, he quickly separated himself from her, and the woman scurried off the table, adjusting her skirt and buttoning up her shirt. "Who the hell is this Preston, and why did he just barge into your office?" She complained, eyeing Dominic like he was something undesirable.

"Get out."

"What?"

"Get out. Get the hell out!"

Preston was still urging the woman to go out when Dominic spoke up again. "I was talking to both of you. Get out of this office, out of this entire building… and I never want to see your face again."
