Hudson sat in the garden alone, he was clad on an armless top and a short, he had a lighter in one of his hands, while playing with a cigarette with his other free hand, moving it across his lips, inserting it in and out of his mouth, he seemed lost in space, staring at a blank space, it was evident that he was lost in his thought. He didn’t even notice the approaching footsteps that were behind him. He felt a hand grab his shoulders, he jolted out of his thoughts and turned back as fast as he could. Bethel was staring down at him with a smile on his face, Hudson let out a deep sigh and returned back to his former position, resuming what he was doing before. He inserted the cigarette back into the pack and placed it in between his laps. “Don’t beat yourself up over it, it was nothing, you can’t expect the first thing you take care of to go so smoothly after all, there have got to be challenges also, you can’t expect everything to go your way and your life should be a bed of roses
Alexis walked into her house with a very exhausted expression on her face, she saw her dad and muttered a greeting to him, dragging her feet on the ground as she walked past him. “I take it that you are very exhausted” “Yes, I am extremely exhausted” she responded as she ascended the flight of stairs, climbing it slowly, one step at a time till she finally got to her. She pushed the door open and slammed it shut, locking it immediately, she rested her back on the door and slumped down slowly, the tired expression on her face morphing into a pained expression. She had put on an exhausted look on her face when walking in, only because she doesn’t want to arouse suspicion from her dad which she had successfully done but now that she is in her room, she couldn’t hold up the feeling she had any longer, she buried her face in her palms and let out all the tears she had been fighting back. The incident that had happened at Hudson’s party kept repeating itself in her head over and over ag
"It was canceled again?" Alice asked with a surprised expression on her face, holding a phone in her ear. "Yeah" the person on the other end of the line said. "Oh," the expression on her face morphed immediately into a sad, downcasted and devastated expression on her face. "What was I expecting before?" she let out a soft chuckle, "after all, he had made it clear that he doesn't want anything to do with me" she muttered, totally forgetting that she was on a call. "Ma'am, do you have anything else you want me to help you with?" the person on the other end of the line said with an impatient tone. "Oh" she jolted out of her thoughts. "Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts, I have nothing else to say. Thanks a lot" she chuckled and ended the call, tossing the phone on the table, letting out a tired sigh. "It is all that bastard's fault" she cussed loudly and slammed her hands on the table with a frown plastered on her face. "Damn it" she facepalmed herself with a frustrated look.
Hudson let out a tired sigh as he slipped inside his car, Bethel ignited the car engine, “I shouldn’t have taken the wheels earlier and let your driver do his duty, driving you around is a very tiresome task” Bethel lamented. Hudson let out a loud laughter, “It is part of exercise also” Hudson said with a mocking expression on his face. “Exercise indeed” Bethel smirked, “Are you sure going out with your bodyguards is a good idea?” he asked with a look of concern plastered on his face, pressing his foot on the gas pedal. “Well, this place that we just went to does not require that we need to carry them along” “I know but being top of the mafia world at the moment makes one a target, you are more exposed to danger especially after taking over your dad’s empire” “I know, I just got tired of moving around with the bodyguards, I need this space once in a while and if you notice, carrying those bodyguards around in convoys attracts more attention compared to driving around like this,
“Another business deal that we need to wrap up today” Hudson said to Bethel who was seated beside him in the car, with a very tired expression on his face. “It is the last one for the day and moreover it is just the second one today, stop saying it like this is your tenth one for the day” Bethel responded with a frown plastered on his face while tapping away on his phone. “Only two alone is a very tiresome task, there is no way I am going to even take care of ten in a day, not even in my dreams” Hudson replied sharply. “Stop being a lazy ass, if you get used to this two and you have more deals on your plate, you will have to increase the number of meetings and deals you take in a day” “Will you please stop talking about it like that?” Hudson protested, “The thought of it alone is making more tired” he added with a frown on his face, turning to face Bethel who had a huge smile on his face while staring at the screen of his phone. “What is your reason of smile?” Hudson asked, peekin
“Shit” Hudson cussed, he could feel his left arm where he was shot going numb, Bethel rushed over to his side, he took off his suit and his shirt also, leaving the upper part of his body nude, he tore a part of his shirt and tied it on his arm injury, to reduce the bleeding. “Lucky bastard, huh?” he muttered with a slight frown of his face as he was being raised up to his feet by Bethel. “I can take care of myself, you should pick those injured ones to the car, let’s head to the hospital quickly” he barked an order to them and they all rushed to carry out the order. He used his right hand to hold the arm where he was shot, leading them outside. Loud sound of sirens filled the air, they stepped outside to see police cars speeding in, “Bunch of motherfuckers should have brought a goddamned ambulance with them” one of the injured guys cussed out loud with an angry expression plastered on his face. The police cars’ door was swung open and police men approached them with caution, the
“What do you mean by the countdown to our death begun after I made the first shot, do you want us to be killed there?” Jay asked with a big frown on his face, he was beginning to panic, he could feel the sound of gunshots coming closer, it was only a matter of seconds before they reached where he and Andy were staying. “We could have talked it out with him and not resulted to violence but I guess there was no other choice in that period of time” Andy replied calmly, taking a long drag from the cigarette again. “If you know that you have no plans of escaping, I am sorry but I will have to leave you behind” Jay replied and picked up a metal from the floor, hitting it on the glass severally till it broke into several pieces. "It's futile to try to escape, because the chances of you leaving this place completely is absolutely zero" Andy warned. Jay turned a deaf ear to what he was saying, he went ahead and pulled off the shards of glass remaining there and jumped down without hesitati
"Seems like Mr. Too serious, got a bit reckless this time" Emily said to Hudson while walking into the garden where he was seated, the upper part of his body was without clothes, the lower part of his body was clad on a black knicker. He had a bottle of wine placed beside him on a small table and a glass, the wine content had been poured into the glass, reaching half of what it can take. He tilted his head backwards and saw Emily walking towards him, she was clad in a white gown that stopped just above her knees, a smile brightening her facial features was plastered on her face, walking towards him majestically. Each step she took was with elegance. "If you are here to mock me, you know the way in, so you will also know your way out" Hudson said with a cold tone, raising the cigarette in between his fingers to his lips, he took a short drag and returned his face to the former position."I seem to have forgotten the way I passed through to get here, would you mind directing me?" she
