The medical personnel got to them, and one of them wanted to check on Michael, but he declined instantly.

"I'm fine. She needs the attention more," he said, pointing at Stella.

That was surprising. The medical personnel couldn't wrap their heads around it.

However, they all quickly joined hands to attend to Stella.

After they had put in all their efforts, doing all the necessities, one of them looked at her colleagues and said in a panicked tone, "Her pulse is gone."

They all heaved a deep sigh as one of them said, "It took a lot of effort to save her life. It's so sad that she couldn't make it."

Michael, who was trying to regain his strength, heard this conversation faintly in his head.

Despite being close to them, he was far gone in his mind, trying to gather some strength.

He quickly redirected his attention to them. Seeing how bitter their faces looked, he asked hurriedly, "What's the problem?"
