Liam was sitting in the car looking out the window as a thought crossed his mind. He looked at the broken bracelet in his hand, He didn't know what he was going to do but he was going to make it come back to normal.

“I made a little mistake not letting you finish that imp off for ruining this.” Liam looked at the bracelet, he was a bit angry and there was no way he would even want to think that he had lost the only thing he could use to remember his mother.

“Well you don't want our first wrap to be murder now do you?” Barry teased as he drove Liam, “I can't tell you how thrilled the partners were when I told them that you will be meeting them today. We are going to be seeing them at the venue I have prepared.” Barry was looking at Liam through the rearview mirror, he could see that something was bothering him.

“Well, they will be shocked that I decided to come back after such a long time. This will be more like a shock to them than anything they have seen for a long time.” Liam sat still in the car, anyone who told him that he would be on his way to go back to his life hours ago would be saying that they were wrong.

‘Life is funny as hell, but there is no way I didn't imagine that she would not think of leaving me and like this,’ Liam was still a bit shocked by Monica's decision.

He knew that she was pushed to make it but then he was not going to be turning back for anything.

**

Back at the company, Monica was inside the office and she was going through some files that had come to her and she was even shocked to see that everything seemed to be in disorder.

“Lisa please tell me that you fixed dinner with Mr. Aaron, I want to make sure that there is no way for us to miss this opportunity.” Monica was looking at Lisa, she wanted to make sure that nothing was going to be wrong.

“Don't worry Miss Porter I have made sure that you will get to speak with him and there is no way he will say no to the offer and I will also see to it that nothing is going to be a problem for you.” Lisa smiled when she saw that Monica was fixing things to get more companies to sign with them.

Monica was occupied with work, she wanted to show the world that she was the only woman who could take Keston City by surprise.

Her phone rang out of the blue, she looked at it and saw that it was none other than her mom.

Monica picked up the phone and answered it.“Hello Mom, what happened? You never call likes this,”

“That brute of a man you married beat up Jeremy and even assaulted me,” Laura said over the phone in a sad tone, she wanted to make sure that she told Monica what had happened and made sure that nothing was going to make her daughter hear it from another person.

“What in the world are you saying? Liam did what? I didn't strike him as the violent type of person,” Monica was surprised to hear that Liam did something like that.

“He did it, Jeremy and I are in the hospital and I don't know what he was even thinking when he raised his finger on your brother like we had done something to him. That man has to pay for this insult,” Laura was making sure that she would not miss a thing to tell her daughter before she would get it from an external source.

“Don't worry Mother, I will make sure that I will get to the bottom of this and he will have to pay for what he did to both you and Jeremy,” Monica said before ending the call on her mother, she was still surprised that things had taken a turn like that.

“Why in the world would Liam attack my family like that?” Monica was looking worried, she looked around as she dialed a number.

“You know people tend to show their violent nature when they have nothing to lose. And as for him, I know you remember that you broke things off with him making him have nothing to lose. I will tell you that it was then that he might have decided that he would do anything to make sure that he would make you see that it was the right choice to cut him out of your life.” Lisa chimed in, she was trying to make sure that she would tell Monica that it was a pointless attempt.

“Even if he is angry with the decision, I will make sure that he will have no other choice but to go over there and apologize to my mother and brother. He can't act like a brute and think that he can walk away from it.” Monica had dialed the number, she was waiting for Liam to pick it up.

Back in the car, Liam was lost in thought, he was going through the options he had in his hand. It was many but his sudden return would spike many to be worried that there was something else happening that they didn't know of. The call came in and Liam looked at the phone and he saw it, not knowing why he was getting a call from M0nica’s office.

“Hello?” Liam answered the call, he was eager to know why she would even think of calling him out of the blue.

“Tell me why you hit my brother and mother for no good reason?! How dare you even think of laying a finger on them after all I have done for you.” Monica didn't even wait for any other word to come out before she began bombarding Liam with questions like that.

Liam was surprised that Monica had called him to insult him like that. “What in the world are you talking about? I didn't touch your mother, I..”

“Mother said that you beat up Jeremy and also hit her for no reason, I am not going to be telling you this twice but I want you to drive over to the hospital where Jeremy is admitted and make sure that you apologize to him or I will make your life miserable.” Monica threatened, she wasn't going to be going easy on Liam all her thoughts were that he had laid a hand on her family.

“Hold on a second, you call me out of the blue to insult me? Have you gone insane? Did you ask your brother what he did to make me hurt him?” Liam wanted to know if she was just acting off what she heard or if there was a reason for her acting like that.

“No matter the reason a bum like you shouldn't even think of touching my family, you are nothing but a pebble in our life and you should be respecting them for putting up with you for that long not thinking of a way to hurt them. I want you to go to the hospital where they are and apologize to both of them.” Monica ordered she was and apologized to my mother and brother before it gets too late for you.” Monica threatened she was not going to be standing to watch Liam walk away free from hurting her family.

Liam was fed up, he didn't even know why this was being an argument, he knew that there was no way he would even think of touching them and Monica was only trying to make sure that she put him beneath.

“You know in all my years of being married to you, I would think that you know me too well but you're wrong. I know that there is no way to explain what happened but you see your brother deserved what came to him and I didn't lay a finger on your mother so you are just wasting our goddamn time.” Liam didn't waste any more time on the call, he ended it and threw his phone to the side.

Monica was shocked, she had never heard Liam sound so angry and irritated to her. But then there was a little bit of sense in what he said, Liam had lived with her for years and there was no chance of him being that kind of person.

‘Why do I feel like I am going to regret making this call?’ Monica said to herself, she sat back to face her work and make sure that nothing was going to bug her.

**

Liam was angered by the call but he was not going to be venting out his anger there and then, he wanted to make sure that nothing was going to make him crash out.

The car suddenly stopped at a hotel, Barry turned to Liam, smiled, and tried to explain to Liam what was happening. “Lord Grayson, we will be meeting with some of the partners here and they will be bringing someone they say is important to the cause. I want you to be patient with me while I rush in to check if they have set everything up,”

“Fine,” Liam said, he was angry but he didn't want to show it there and then. “Just please be back soon, I need to eat something.”

“Alright,” Barry said before exiting the car. Liam was left alone trying to ponder what he was going to do.

“This is funny, one would think that he will stay married to the lady he fell in love with the woman he fell in love with but then she divorces you because you look like a bum.” Liam was not even thinking of anything other than a way to calm his head down.

“Let go of me! Let go of me!!” A voice came from the outside, Liam looked around and spotted four goons holding a beautiful lady.

“What in the world is going on there?” Liam said to himself trying to ignore what was going on, but he saw that they were trying to force the lady into a car.

“I can't sit here and watch this happen,” Liam opened the car and stepped down. He was not going stand there and watch something like that happen.

“You better shut it, you have no idea how we are trying to keep it down with you and there is no way you even want to comply, the boss said that he wants you to be with and there is nothing you are going to do about it.” One of the goons said holding the lady by her arm.

“Hey, that is no way to treat a lady, so I will ask you to let her go.”

The goons looked up to see Liam standing there with his hands in his pocket.

“Who in the world are you?”
