CHAPTER 6

“What do you mean I have been barred from entering here? This is my house, I live here.”

Jack was stunned when he got to the Kent family mansion and he was denied entry into the mansion.

“Look at this criminal claiming that he lives here. Tell me, who owns this house? Is it you or the Kent family? Just get out of here before I release the dogs on you!”

The security man blew hot and insulted Jack, standing firmly in his path. He always thought that Jack was just an ordinary garbage collector who got lucky and married the beautiful lady Bianca, but now that Jack’s true nature has been exposed, he would deal with Jack.

“I don’t have a problem with you Luke, I just want to see my wife. Let me in. If not for anything, for all the many times that I have assisted you,” Jack replied, not minding the insult. He only wanted to see Bianca and clear his name.

Luke was the name of the security guard. He used to be close to Jack but he was only pretending. Jack would always assist him financially because he always complained that his salary was not enough to take care of his wife and seven children but now he didn’t care about that. To him Jack was just a criminal that got lucky enough to marry the young lady of the house.

“I didn’t force you to assist me. If I had known it was drug money, I never would have accepted it! Now get out or I will really bring the dogs out!”

Jack ignored his threat. “Bianca! Bianca! Bianca!”

Jack started to scream hoping that Bianca would hear him but it was Charlotte Kent, Bianca’s mother who heard him instead and came out.

“Look who finally decided to show his face. You scoundrel! You have some nerve coming here after what you did,” Charlotte instantly attacked Jack.

“Mother, I didn't do it. I was set up, you have to believe me,” Jack replied humbly. He knew how hard it would be to convince them, especially Charlotte, who has never hidden her disdain for him.

“May you lose your tongue for calling me mother! Don’t you know where your useless mother is? I would rather have my womb ripped out than give birth to something as worthless as you,” She spat saliva on the floor after she spoke to show how disgusting Jack was to her.

Jack was already used to her insults, immune to them even. He didn’t bother much about it. He was about to reply when Marcus came out of the building.

“Get out! Get out of here now you miserable drug pusher! You are such a loser!”

He walked close to Jack and raised his hand to slap Jack but Jack caught his hand in the air. Jack could tolerate their words because he believed that sticks and stones may break his bones but words shall never hurt him and Marcus trying to hit him was crossing that line.

“Let me go!” Marcus yelled, unable to free himself from Jack’s strong grip. He never expected Jack to defend himself or to even be so strong.

“I didn’t do this. I wanted to thank the family for bailing me out but you won’t even let me inside,” Jack said calmly, letting Marcus go.

Marcus massaged his wrists which were in pain and red from Jack’s strong grip. “How dare you? How dare you hurt me? Ah! You are finished now!”

“Look what you've done to his hand. You say you are here to thank us and instead you are attacking him. Are you mad?!” Charlotte yelled.

She tried to slap Jack again and this time Jack simply moved out of the way but Charlotte had swung her hand with so much force that once she missed Jack’s face, the force sent her crashing to the floor and bruising her elbows.

“Ah!” She cried out, massaging her elbows as blood coated on the surface of her wound. “Look what you've done to me. You are dead now! Dead! Release the dogs on him!”

The security guard who had been watching the drama unfold, frustrated that Jack didn’t get hit, happily ran off to get the dogs.

“Please, can we all just calm down and talk about this peacefully? I just want to clear my name and apologize for any disgrace that I may have brought this family because of this issue, but I swear I am not a drug dealer, I have never sold or used drugs in my life,” Jack spoke calmly, running his hands through his hair and taking a deep breath.

The situation was already turning into a huge disaster and that was not what he had in mind.

“Disgrace? You are the disgrace to this family, I never should have let you marry my daughter, you this wretched bastard!” Charlotte was furious as Marcus helped her to her feet.

“Don’t worry about him Aunty, after the dogs are through with him, I will arrest whatever is left of him for assault against us,” Marcus smirked coldly.

No one would believe they were the ones that attacked Jack with the marks they had on them.

Suddenly they heard very loud barking and growling coming from behind them as four big Rottweilers ran towards them, looking menacing and deadly.

Marcus and Bianca were so scared because they rarely saw the dogs. They just knew they had them for security purposes but when they saw these huge dogs that looked like killing machines running towards them, they instantly regretted their decision and ran into the security post for protection, yelling from behind the window.

“Get him!”

“Bite his balls!”

“Chew his bones!”

“Haha! Jack is surely dead now,” Luke commented, smiling from ear to ear.

They all watched in excitement as the brutal dogs leaped towards Jack, barking and snarling dangerously.
