Adrian, on the other hand, ignored Wilson.
He looked at Amanda in disbelief.
In all respects, this Wilson looked considerably like a combination of a smashed tomato and a misshapen potato!
He wondered how his beautiful ex-wife, Amanda, found such an ... ugly ... goat. God forgive him for being rude. But shouldn't she have gone for a better-looking and more successful man? He thought.
She had just made a mess of herself by replacing him with this thing! Because not only was Wilson ugly, he also loved playing with different women.
The only advantage of Wilson might be he was wealthy and drove a car, and that could explain itself!
"Amanda, are you sure this is what you want?" Adrian asked.
Hearing Adrian's words made Amanda bow her head, feeling ashamed of herself.
She knew exactly what Adrian meant even though he didn't say much.
Honestly speaking, Wilson was far from Adrian's league when it came to good looks, but she decided to be with him because he was rich!
However, Amanda tried to conceal what she felt within her.
The next moment, she raised her head high with her voice pitched up as well, as if to prove herself right.
"Yeah, I am a thousand per cent sure! Wilson has treated me well, much better than you have ever had.
I know you now regard me as a gold-digger, but I tell you, I AM NOT! Wilson cares for me. You see my new Tod's bag and my new phone? And my new clothes?? Wilson bought them for me!
Wilson really loves me! He accompanies me and is willing to give me what I deserve! He is much better than you!"
Amanda is right.
She deserves a better life, and only rich men like me can give her what she deserves. Whereas, poor losers like you should learn to remain humble and know your place.
Crossing the line and laying hands on women that you don't deserve won't get you anywhere," Wilson said arrogantly, as if he was competent to give Adrian a lecture.
"And you see? Amanda divorced you. I hope you've learned your lesson," Wilson continued.
Adrian didn't even give him a side glance. He had nothing to do with arrogant toads who thought they were princes!
He turned to Amanda again, and with unmistakable disgust, he said calmly, "I might have thought too high of you, Amanda, I didn't know you would degrade yourself to this level and replace me with this... well... man. How unbelievable!
Adrian's words were like a stab into Amanda's heart, and she was so furious that she burst out abruptly.
"How dare you say I degrade myself? You should say I degraded myself when I married you a year ago. Now I am awake! I am upgrading myself with my new boyfriend. Compared with Wilson, you're nothing but a street dog!
See the white Lamborghini car over there? It belongs to my Wilson.
And what have you got? A stained bike! Wilson earns thousands of dollars every month, not to mention he's got a manager for a father. And you? Look how sweaty and stinky you get yourself every day, and how little you get paid! I have never seen you earn more than three thousand a month! And you dare say I degrade myself. How laughable!
As I said, a loser is always a loser. Adrian, just admit it, alright?"
With the last word said, Amanda put down her finger and took Wilson's hand.
"Sweetheart, let's leave here. I am fed up with the loser," she pleaded gently.
Wilson laughed proudly, "Your wish is my command, my darling."
Wilson and Amanda got into the Lamborghini car, but they didn't drive off right away. Instead, Wilson rolled down the car window as he started the car.
And then, together with Amanda, they flipped their middle finger at Adrian.
Adrian remained silent as he sneered inwardly.
He watched the two laughing their heads off while zooming off at speed.
However, just then, because Wilson was laughing so whole-heartedly and wasn't watching where he was driving, he didn't notice an oncoming vehicle.
And before both Amanda and Wilson could react, they bumped directly into that oncoming vehicle.
Luckily for Wilson, the vehicle was driving at a slow speed, so none of them was injured. However, Wilson's Lamborghini car was scratched badly.
Wilson was furious!
He believed the person driving the Rolls-Royce was the one at fault, so he blocked the car.
Still seething in anger, he and Amanda stepped out of the vehicle to confront the person behind the wheel.
Meanwhile, another Rolls Royce appeared behind that vehicle and pulled up before Adrian.
A beautiful woman dressed in a tight leather suit stepped out of the car.
The black leather suit perfectly outlined her impressive curves.
It was May York, Adrian's senior assistant.
"Your Highness..."
May walked up to Adrian and was about to bow when Adrian signalled to her to stop.
He didn't want to reveal his real identity to people like Amanda and Wilson.
They didn't deserve knowing who he was.
Clever as she was, May understood Adrian well, so she instinctively stepped forward to hug him, making Adrian surprised.
May then turned swiftly, casting a disdainful glance at Amanda and Wilson, and then she remarked, "Sir Adrian, congratulations to you! You've rid yourself of a gold-digger who has settled for an ugly goat."
May walked up to Wilson with a cold stare.
"Your lack of concentration nearly caused an accident, yet your arrogance prevents you from admitting your foolish mistake," she remarked with disdain evident in her expression.
"It's true that no matter how a toad dresses like a prince, it'll still show the toad's traits. Your dressing hasn't even helped to conceal your true nature," May scoffed, shifting her gaze to Amanda and pointing at Wilson.
"And... is this the best you can do, Miss? Despite your beauty, you lack the discernment to realize you've traded treasure for a piece of trash."
