Chapter 106

Richardson looked around the room to see her clothes still on the floor by the door.

“I guess they didn’t know where to keep the clothes and how to sort them,” he noted, going to the door to get some of the boxes to the wardrobe. “Do you need those?”

He had a finger pointed to the hospital clothes she had gotten with her.

“Do you want me to get rid of it?” she asked with widened eyes.

“I mean,” he pointed to the series of new clothes dropped on a couch by the door. “You do have new clothes to wear and if those are not enough for you, we could always get more.”

The way he said it with an air of confidence and authority made her know she was not dealing with a nobody.

“I see you are settling in quite well,” someone said at the door as they both turned to see Damien standing there with his arms folded.

He must have come back from a meeting for Richardson could see his signature dark blue suit on him.

“Grandfather,” he smiled, walking to the old man. “How long did you stand there for?”
