Chapter 121

He held his breath in fear as the sounds around him became muffled.

He watched James’s head pump out blood, pooling around him as his open eyes lost the light in them. There was no way he was surviving that.

The man who had shot James dead bent down to look at Richardson with his mask which had a different color from the others. He must be the leader.

“And you must be Richardson,” the man’s deep voice said with a rumble. “Forgive my manners. I should have introduced myself first before killing the pig.”

Richardson could not talk but shiver where he knelt. He had watched his first cold murder and it rattled him down to his bones. How had it gone from the car ride to a murder scene?

Was he going to die? Was this how his life was going to end?

So many thoughts rushed through his mind as he tried to control his breathing which seemed to fail him.

The man went on to speak while waving his gun around but he could not hear anything.
