Chapter 167

Michael walked up to the two men with a conviction in his heart that they would not know who he was.

He approached them with a smile on his face. They looked at him with a squint as they tried to figure out where they had seen him before.

He could not help but smile at how difficult it was going to be to figure him out. He was glad he had worn a different suit at this function. Wearing the same clothes and the same kind of hairstyle would have had him figured in seconds.

“Hello,” he smiled at the men looking at their drinks. “I see you guys don’t waste time on taking the good stuff.”

They raised their glasses to the sky as they saluted him while he called to a waiter.

“Can I get what they’re having?” he asked before looking at the pool before him. No one was in the pool and as such the lights from underneath the pool reflected how clean and clear the water was.

He looked around the party to see Alice talking with her friends, already too far gone to notice that he was looking at her.
