Chapter 4

I saw a forest with tall trees, sparkling like glitter, and a dazzling light surrounded. The trees had a peculiar shape, like a cloud or wool. The sky was not blue, but orange, yellow, white, and a little bit pink or purple. The sparkling looked like a firefly but it was not, I could not see clearly what kind of insects. This forest also had a dazzling light just like the light I saw at Myrdin. I turned my head with a glare.

“Your world?” I could not believe that he didn’t lie.

“Yes! Finally!” He looked really happy because he could go back to his home.

“Myr-”

“THERE YOU ARE!” Myrdin shouted when he saw something pass by.

I tried to see what he saw that made him shout and ran. He was chasing something that I couldn’t see clearly, but I think it looked like a mini man with horns. That creature also looked so weird to me. I was thinking of going back to the library, but unconsciously my body just followed Myrdin that almost disappeared from me. I looked back several times, before my feet started to run.

“Myrdin! Wait!” Shouted me echoing the whole forest.

I ran as fast as I could, following Myrdin who was still running. We were chasing each other through the sidelines of the trees. I found so many peculiar plants and animals that I haven’t seen before. I saw fungi that could change their colors, porcupines who could curl up their thorns, and flowers with an unbelievably look. I was almost out of breath, thank goodness Myrdin finally stopped running. I stopped and tried to breathe by holding on my knees.

“Gosh, I lost his track!” Myrdin looked pissed off.

“W-who is th-that?” I tried to speak with a short breathe while straightening my body.

“Krampus.”

“What?” I don’t even know what kind of creature it is. I frowned, “What is krampus?”

“Krampus is a sneaky-little-beast who likes to kidnap children.” Myrdin put his hands on his hips while explaining and looked at me.

“Why is he kidnapping children? What does he look like?” I was asking too many questions to Myrdin but I really want to know.

Myrdin didn't answer my questions. He walked deeper and deeper, and I tried to follow him somewhere. The forest started to be left behind, we arrived in the bright blue and sparkling waterfall. I could see the fishes swimming under water, they had a pastel color and it made the fishes look so beautiful. The waterfall is surrounded by bushes with diamonds hanging on it.

"Do you want to look at my home?" Mydin asked when I already fell deeply, admiring all this magical place.

"Where?" I turned my back and fully looked at him.

"There!" He was pointing to the waterfall.

I frowned, "What do you mean? Your home is the waterfall?"

"Come on!" Myrdin led the way.

We stopped in front of the waterfall, "Be careful." He went in and disappeared in that waterfall. I was shocked and shouted, "Myrdin, are you crazy? I am not coming. I can't… I can't swim."

His face reappeared behind the waterfall, "Oh come on, don't be such a baby." Myrdin mocked me.

I felt offended, so I followed him past the waterfall. I took a deep breath before closing my eyes and holding my breath. I walked in, but strangely the water didn't even touch my skin. I opened my eyes and saw what happened. The water fell on my body, but it just passed on me like glittery tears without making me wet. After a minute, finally arrived at Myrdin's house.

"Welcome!" He smiled with a gentle gesture.

I saw his house with puppy eyes. It looked like a fairytale kingdom, with a big castle in the middle of this small city. In this city, the views looked so different. There were a lot of flying animals, big and small animals lived here. The people also do harvesting, watering plants, and picking fruits. All the people really looked like Myrdin, but older than him.

"Why does everyone look older than you? Where is the young adult?" I looked at him.

"Hmm …" he looked so sad. "That is the problem. I need your help." Suddenly, he begged.

I was shocked, "No, no, I can't interfere in this world." I refused.

Myrdin tried to provoke me, but I refused. I was angry and walked back past the waterfall while looking for a way back. Myrdin didn't follow me and I didn't mind. I went back to the forest all alone without knowing where the direction was. After 15 minutes, I still didn't know where it was. But, suddenly I heard a rustle in the bushes.

"Who is that?" I screamed and turned my face, but no one was there. "Myrdin?" No answer.
