FORTY THREE

As the night wore on, Nadia slept peacefully, her brother's arm was still hung around her shoulders. Harvey sat there, watching over her, with a mix of love and concern carved on his face. He knew she had been through a lot lately, and he was ready to take all the past pain away and make her extremely happy.

As the hours passed, the house grew quiet, the only sound being heard was Nadia's gentle breathing. Harvey slowly got up, careful not to disturb or even wake her up, so he covered her up with a soft blanket. He stretched his arm and yawned, then tiptoed to the kitchen, got himself a glass of water, and sat down at the table, his eyes still fixed on his sister.

“Gosh,” he truly loves her so much.
