Chapter One hundred-forty four

Nathan walked to the office of Mr. Gabe. He knocked twice on the door of his office. Nathan waited for a while to get an answer.

But after waiting he didn't get any. He knocked again, but there was no answer. He brought out his phone to dial Mr. Gabe's number.

He was about to dial his number when he heard a feminine voice behind him. "Mr. Nathan right?"

Nathan turned with his phone in his hands. "Yeah, Mr. Nathan. You are?"

"That's not necessary. My boss said you were coming. Something urgent came up, and he had to leave. He didn't have an idea of when he was going to return.

Would you like to wait, or would you return home? Based on the fact that we don't know when he's going to return," she said.

Nathan bowed his head as he thought about what to do. "I will wait. It's been on my mind to see him. But since I am here, he's not around.
