Davis's rescue (1)

When Claus uttered those words, the room fell silent, the air thick with tension. William's eyes widened slightly, disbelief and shock written across his face.

Evan turned his gaze from the video in front of him, his eyes locking with Claus'. The two men stared at each other, neither saying a word, the air charged with the unspoken question: What now?

Claus was the first to break the silence, his voice low and steady. “I already asked the teams to return to their training. And it has been an hour since that happened,”

Evan's hands clenched tightly and a light sigh escaped his lips, “Wonderful,” He said, and Claus arched an eyebrow.

“It looks like whoever sent him to kill Christel means business, and now that Davis refused to work with them… he got killed to erase any evidence,”

Claus nodded and sighed too. William gazed at the two and stepped forward until he was standing beside Claus.

“Sir, why don't we ask Christel what she remembered? Maybe, there might be a clue somewhere,” He
