Chapter 38

Inside the AADAF military base…

  The sound of personnel rushing around inside the giant command tent could be heard as all kinds of military and technical jargon were being thrown around. Thankfully the tent had been upgraded into a bigger size thus accommodating everyone.

   “Is the neural connection stable?"

  “Yes we're at fifty megaherts right now." 

   " Good, get you bring me a firse cable.”

  On a table,the corpse of a monster could be seen with countless wires sticking out of it's exposed brain. These were then connected to a monitor of sorts that had a down icon.

   Standing in the middle of this chaos was none other than General Lebronsky who was observing the proceedings. This was a commander level monster was recently captured all just for the sake of getting information. They had gone through a lot of trouble to get it but at least the efforts paid off.

  “Sir!, doctor Meyers said that the upload has been finished. We can play the clip now!”

  “Hmmm…alright then.”

  Nodding he gave the go ahead to the officer and soon the cinema grade projector started to roll, projecting a video on the huge screen in front.

   Since everything they saw was from the view point if the monster it felt like they were there personally.

    The first thing everyone saw inside the clip was the dark sky as it was night.

  The sky on this particular night were exceptionally clear that one could even see some planets like Venus and Jupiter! The moon was also out in full glory as if it was celebrating the clarity of the night.

 The graphics were so clear it was like someone had shit the scene instead.

   Rustle rustle rustle.

The sound of dry leaves being carried by the wind could be heard in the forest. If a human was there they would also have detected the scent of the leaves and herbs which was extremely refreshing for anyone who breathed it in.

  However,the opposite was the case when it came to monsters inside the forest because rather than the supposed mesmerising scents all they could smell was terror!

  WOOSH, WOOSH WOOSH

   “Hmmmm…”

   “Why are they running?”

   The sound of panicked monsters running through the forest could be heard everywhere. It was as if something was chasing them which caused everyone in the command tent to wonder what could make these monsters that were predators to fear for their very lives.

  “Wait a minute….”

 “.....they don't seem like they are being chased,it's more like they're hurrying somewhere,right?”

   A closer look and they soon discovered that while they were running,it wasn't haphazard .No, rather,it was orderly,like they were hurrying to somewhere.

   Soon the individual monsters started to converge,first into two and then threes before becoming hordes!

   After a while,they finally stopped running stopping infront of a very long mountain range. Probably due to the illumination coming from the moon the mountain range was somewhat reminiscent of a sharp fang piercing upwards.

  The monsters now having all arrived suddenly kneeled down as of they were paying obeisance to a king! Even those monsters that weren't able to fully do so managed to somehow keep a posture of submission.

   Now you might be wondering why these monsters that were brutal and mindless would actually show respect and fear right?

  Well the same thought were on the minds of everyone in the command room too and soon the found out as the video moved to the next scene.

   The monster from whose point of view they were observing fearfully raised it's head as if to take a peak and then everyone saw that right at the top of the tallest peak you could make out a lone figure.

     The figure looked like a bear with blood red fur while also possessing a musculature that reminded one of a pro-model bodybuilder. Blade like protusions we're sticking out of various places on it's body. From it's back to it's elbows and arms and legs in fact,they all had blades sticking out of them!

  While this might make it look awkward and prone to injuring itself the opposite was the case as somehow these sharp blades were arranged in such a way that was so well balanced,it even exuded a certain level of beauty!

  On its head what looked like a hair was also dangling free,on a closer look it looked like tentacles that had sparp pointy dagger ends.

   Despite being a little bit shorter than the devil Kong ape that attacked the Raisin camp this monster gave off an aura of destruction and oppression far higher than that. It was as if a single swipe and all the powermasters in the room would die!

   This monster that looked like someone took part of the DNA of Godzilla,scrambled it along with king kong’s before finally adding in a dash of the hulk’s was none other than the Xenogenic Alpha—Blade!

ROOOOOOOOAR!

    Hearing the anger filled roar,all of the monsters weren't able to stand at all as their legs gave way under them due to the intense pressure from the alpha's aura. Even the general level monsters that were standing next to the alpha had to retreat a bit. The aura of the boss was just too suffocating!

   After letting out a lengthy roar,boss finally calmed down. It seemed to have been releasing it's pent up anger.

 Observing the monsters down below,the boss starting giving a series of roars and grunts which were somehow understandable to the other monsters standing below.

  It was like it was speaking,although it was just a bunch of grunts,roars and hisses each and everyone of the monster present fully understand what the boss was saying.

  In plain language he was angry!

  All the monsters down below weren't able to hide the shiver of their bodies. When the boss got angry,anything could happen!

   Even those watching in the tent felt their heart palpitate in fear.

  Luckily it seemed that their bosses anger already had a target as it's tentacle like hair started to float up as electricity sparked in the air. Right then the air started to vibrate and shimmer like something had been thrown into a pond, except the air wasn't water.

  “What the hell?”

  Then a scene that was totally unbelievable occured. In that rippling thin air a bluish gray screen started to materialise and on it was the image of a young kid who was probably just a teenager. Baring it's sharp fangs at the image,the boss roared at the monsters below as if telling them that this was their target.

  The monsters also understanding it's meaning all roared back in understanding before rushing back into the forest.

  The boss had given his order and they had to carry it out!

   “Rooaar!”

   At this point the video was about to end but then the boss monster suddenly turned it's head before roaring in the direction of the beast that was watching everything.

 Right then the video clip stopped and all the lights went back on.

   Wiping their sweat away,all the officers in the room were surprised to find their clothes sopping wet. For most of them this was just the first time they had seen the alpha boss level monster.They had perspired so much just from watching the clip that they doubted if they would even be able to breathe if the monster was standing In front of them!.

   “From this video do we know who that young man is,do we have any information on him?" 

  With a contemplative expression, General Lebronsky asked with a frown as he turned to ke of the officers in the tent.

  “No sir,there's no reference of such an individual in our database." 

   "Then why was the beast so worked up on that humans picture. There's definitely more than meets the eye.”

   Since there was no way of knowing who that individual was at the moment,he had to shelve it away. At least they had no direct relation to him.

   He was just about to leave when he turned to that same officer.

“And oh by the way,when are the other camps arriving?" 

" They've arrived sir with the exception of Raisin camp . Their powermasters are still on the way." 

  " Alright, no problem. Give me a brief tomorrow of the teams that have arrived. We only have two more days before the raid,understood!”

  Roger sir!”

 Hmm!"...

  With a satisfied smile,he left he room while thinking.

  Just what about that human could have made the alpha monster so agitated?”
