Inside the AADAF central base.
The sounds of equipment and artillery being moved around could be heard in the base. Countless personnel were on ground to direct and coordinate the activities currently ongoing. WOOSH, WOOSH, WOOSH! Over a dozen armoured vans wheezed by as they drove towards a mini parking lot where they halted while military grade trucks reversed so that the ammunitions and supplies could be placed in them. Operation Hellstrike commenced today! Well technically not today as it had started ever since General Lebronsky first tabled the idea. However,in a sense it was still right as this was the first time that something tangible would be done. Previously the only thing being done was just preparations, today was the day that they would really advance to put the operation in motion. “Today finally came!" Standing at the edge of the window of the finally completed command center general Lebronsky muttered under his breath as he watched the proceedings below. Observing for a while he soon turned away from the window and made his way back to the command room. Unlike the previous command room which was essentially a tent that had been glorified this one was a proper build. Standing at approximately five meters,it was entirely built out of concrete and metal. The previous command room could only accommodate at most twenty people at a single time. This new one could accomodation up to a hundred! It even had proper space allocations so each part of the commading forces had their own area. Walking through some corridors,General Lebronsky soon arrived infront of a huge metallic wall with the words ‘CENTRAL COMMAND ROOM’ embossed on it. Pushing it open, he was instantly bombarded with a wave of voices so loud it would have been enough to scare a ghost to death! It seemed like no one noticed that the door had opened or that he had entered due to the heated arguments they were having. Normally if it were his soldiers this wouldn't have happened but then they weren't his soldiers so he just had to deal with it. “Ahem!” Coughing a bit,he looked at the arguing people only to see that none of them were still aware that he was there causing his face to darken. “Darn it these people are too infuriating!” With his soldiers he only needed a cough infact half a chiugh was enough to bring them into order. Remembering that they were never soldiers in the first place,he just deflated. Calming down he coughed louder while also knocking the door and this time he sucessfully garnered their attention causing everywhere to go quiet. “Hmm. Now this is more like it." With a satisfied smile he walked towards the main chair under their watchful gazes. Settling down he turned to them observing their expressions,by now everywhere had gone quiet well enough that even a oin falling on the floor could be heard. “Morning star base,Wild blade base, wwndy beach camp,Deer roe camp….. mso there is no Raisin camp?” With a single sweep of his eyes he was able to identify over six camps that were present at the moment. Unfortunately it seemed like the Raisin camp was unable to make it at all. That was a pity. “Morning ladies and gentlemen,I'm General Lebronsky Santiago. I'm sure you already know why we are here so I'm not going to beat around the bush.” Pausing he watched the faces around the table, seeing that there was no questions he continued this time his expression turning more serious. "Our mission today is a though one,in fact it might be the thoughest one you will fight in ever since the apocalypse began as we are going against one of—if not the strongest monsters ever documented since the start of the qpocalypse. Basically what am saying is that I can't guarantee the survival of anyone!” When he said this everyone shifted on their chairs as the weight of his words struck them. Yes they knew about all these already but hearing another person say it made it sound more heavy. “But there's a plan right?" Glancing at the person that just spoke General Lebronsky saw that it was the leader of the Wild Blade camp,Ashborn. If he wasn't wrong the man should be a powermaster with the ability to turn himself into metal. He basically had unparalleled defence and it was said that he had even tanked the full head in attack of a commander tier monster without the slightest damage! Based on their estimates he should be able to tank at least one hut from a general tier. He was strong! “Of course there is,that's the purpose of this briefing today!” smiling,he stood up before walking to the huge wall mounted screen in the room. Switching it on the first thing everyone saw was a map of sorts. “This is the layout of where we are going—Demon Fang mountains. We called it Demon Fang mountains because of how the peaks look like a collection of demonic Fangs.” Circling a valley on the map he continued. " This particular spot is where we are going, this valley. It cuts across the mountain range and according to our estimates it should be around a kilometer long. This is where the monsters that are being ruled by the alpha are staying. The deeper we head into the valley the stronger the monsters get,at the entrance we have the rouges while at the far end stays the alpha.” Seeing that everyone was focused on his presentation,he continued. "Now here is the plan,we would have the snipers set camp at vantage spots to provide us with air cover while the soldiers will engage with the monsters. We on the other hand will head straight into the heart of the valley to slay the alpha monster. Remember, the earlier we can do this the more of a chance we have at reducing the number of casualties we incur since these monsters will run away if they don't have a leader… Any objections?” Immediately one hand shot up and a tall lady with a long hair stood up. She was Aurora, leader of the Sandy beach camp. She was a powermaster that was able to control the wind. " Do we know how strong the alpha is? And is there an estimate of the monsters we are fighting cause I can't just sacrifice my troops without knowing what they should expect.” Hearing her question, the other base leaders present all nodded in approval, she had just voiced out what was in their minds. “Naturally all that will be provided to you. In fact it was supposed to be the next thing but since you've brought it forward I might as well just say it." “While we've never fought an alpha tier monster before just from the energy fluctuations coming off from it we can estimate that it should be as strong as five general tier monsters while the total amount of monsters should be about three thousand.” While gen6eral Lebronsky said it with a relatively calm face the faces of every other person in the room changed drastically. “What! as strong as five general tiers put together?" "Three thousand monsters!” Exclamations like this could be heard everywhere inside the room. While not everyone inside this room that had already fought a general tier monster. Most of them still understood how strong it was. For a single monster to have the strength of five was totally absurd and that was just a pure estimate that could be totally wrong. What if instead of being as strong as five general tiers as the general said it was stronger than that say six, seven or eight, wouldn't they be doomed?! In that moment some of them thought of retreating but the General's next words caused them to freeze on the spot. “And yeah, don't think of retreating cause if you do we all wouldn't render any aid to you if you fall into danger." Instantly everyone removed the thoughts from their minds. Alright then in the absence of any other question,I'll advise you all prepare to move out,we leave in the next thirty minutes!” Seeing that there was nothing much to be said the meeting soon wrapped and everyone left. After the room was empty, General Lebronsky started straight in the direction of the Demon Fang mountain range while muttering to himself. “I hope this goes well!"..Related Chapters

Inside the AADAF military base… The sound of personnel rushing around inside the giant command tent could be heard as all kinds of military and technical jargon were being thrown around. Thankfully the tent had been upgraded into a bigger size thus accommodating everyone. “Is the neural connection stable?" “Yes we're at fifty megaherts right now." " Good, get you bring me a firse cable.” On a table, the corpse of a monster could be seen with countless wires sticking out of it's exposed brain. These were then connected to a monitor of sorts that had a down icon. Standing in the middle of this chaos was none other than General Lebronsky who was observing the proceedings. This was a commander level monster was recently captured all just for the sake of getting information. They had gone through a lot of trouble to get it but at least the efforts paid off. “Sir!, doctor Meyers said that the upload has been finished. We can play the clip now!” “Hmmm…alright then.” Nodd
Chapter 37
Honestly speaking,Thomas felt that he wasn't supposed to ask this question. In fact he shouldn't have asked if he was being logical here. However as the leader of the Raisin camp now he just had to. He had to be selfish for the lives of the over two hundred people that was at stake if he didn't. Looking at their faces he could see the hesitation and reluctance causing him to feel like this was a lost cause. He couldn't blame them though as their fears were pretty understandable. They had just fought with a commander tier monster and it totally wrecked them. Going up a against a Xenogenic Alpha tier monster two tiers higher?,that would just be like serving up their lives on a platter! They had visited the borders of death once and they weren't ready to visit it anytime soon. I guess I'll just tell the general that we'll not be joining the raid. Brother I tried but……sigh. Thinking to himself he knew that he couldn't push it any further. “Since there's no one willing to

The first thing that entered his eyes was the huge circular metal table situated at the centre of the room. Seated around this table were the members of the Stinging nettles though they were visibly missing two members. The next thing was how bright the room was and the fact that there were some communication equipment there. In fact there was a wall mounted screen that was showing a 3D map of sorts directly opposite him. It was like this place was never cut off from the grid. How was that possible?! Since day one of the apocalypse power had been totally cut off with all electrical appliances and gadgets turning useless. Plus this place was on the outskirts of Barnes city,in an abandoned military training base!Even if there was electricity here previously, there shouldn't be any here now. This however, further affirmed his belief that what was about to be said in this room would definitely be weighty. It might truly affect the continued existence of the Raisin camp!
