"I certainly never agreed to be your hired husband".

Ryan Scott, had planned, to depart earlier, with his wife, whom he was just getting to know, that behind her story, she had another side, and the world is about to have something different to write about her, but as the guests began to leave one after the other, with each couple, having something nice to say about the both of them, while they both put up a smile, so the world who doesn't know it is a contracted marriage, think they are happy about the marriage. As they continued to leave, Ryan hesitated. Unsure of where to take her, he noticed she was giving him the disgusted look, the look of a disappointed wife, especially whenever he was talking with people, and she only smiles, when she was sure they were around them, but would quickly change to the opposite, when they are alone.

Ryan was already seeing the end of their marriage, even before it starts.

Ryan faced the reality of his lack of a home, still residing with his father and unable to secure stable employment. He felt unprepared, for marriage, caught off guard, by the sudden turn of events, leaving him confused about his next steps.

Alexander, couldn't hold her disgust anymore, she hates her husband already, and she was prepared to frustrate him, till he sees the need to stand for himself and say no to this sham of a marriage, so she could go back to her quiet life. She noticed that her father, had just stepped out with some of the guest, he had invited, so she seized the opportunity to take out her anger on Ryan.

"You are nothing, but a worthless deadbeat". She says and smiles, as Ryan turned to face her with red eye, he has just been slapped hard on the face.

He may not have what it takes to get married to the daughter of Damien Brick, but he surely, never sees himself as worthless, nnd he hates been called names. Thinking she would stop, so he tries to control his own anger, But she didn't stop there, she continued.

"You can't even provide a home for us. Oh I get it, you are waiting for my dad to give us a home too? Was it part of the deal? Oh yes, I shouldn't be asking, it is surely part of the deal. You are really worthless. Perhaps this marriage wasn't meant to be", She kept lashing at him, her words, this time, cutting deep as she walked away to attend to the final guest.

She expects Ryan to quickly look for her father, and tell him, this was not going to work, because she was prepared to give him hell.

"Oh aunt Meridian, thanks for coming". She says, acting all polite, even though she knows why aunt Meridian have come.

"Oh dear, I wouldn't miss it for the world, you have been indoors for way too long, I never would have thought you were even dating anyone, but your dad says, you and the young man have been dating for quite a long time now. oh how I would love to get all the juicy details, and damn, that young man is so handsome. You must be very lucky". She says, as Alexander turned back to stare at her ill luck, that is mistaken for Good luck, but she noticed that he was practically boiling.

She even became scared at some point, but before she could face aunt Meridian, so as to dismiss her, Ryan, unable to tolerate her tone any longer, angrily pulled her away from the guest.

"I never asked for this situation, I never asked to marry you, and I certainly never agreed to be your hired husband. If you are unhappy, you can leave. After all, you should be grateful to me. No one wanted you in the first place", He snapped, and he watched her for a while, certain that she was officially broken, he stormed out, leaving Alexander to stand frozen in shock.

She couldn't believe, she have just been served the same breakfast, she had been serving him all day. She never thought he would be that mean towards her, she looked around only to notice that she had been left alone in the presence of aunt Meridian, who could easily spread the news within seconds, she was a royal gossip, if you need a news to spread faster, make sure aunt Meridian is there to hear it, and make sure you mistakenly tell her not to tell anyone. Alexander was heart broken, she didn't want to give aunt Meridian the chance to speak to her, for she was already moving towards her, to probably add to her heart injury, so she fled to her room, shutting the door behind her, consumed by loneliness and sadness, as she wept uncontrollably.
