Inspector Lui, and his colleague, Inspector Chan, stood at the edge of the dark alley where Tiara had disappeared. Cheong had called to inform the police and they had come immediately to investigate what had happened.

They had arrived a bit late as Cheong was already gone by the time they got to the scene. Though there was no one there to ask what had happened, the remnants of Tiara's struggle were evident— scuff marks on the ground.
