Farmland heaven

After the night passed me and Nicole woke up in another land, after realizing that we were somewhere else we started walking on a road to somewhere, I tried to hitchhike but no car stopped to pick us up

"Don't bother, people will not stop if I don't offer them something"

Nicole said as she kept on walking

"What can you offer them that I can't?"

"Sex"

She said without turning my way, I felt like an idiot for not thinking of that, but in a kind of way I was justified, I dated multiple girls while I was in London but I never did things like that because they always refused, they refused so many times that the concept of sex didn't come into my mind

After some time a car stopped, it was a red truck that carried a ladder and some firewood

"Do you need me to drop you somewhere?"

The tough-looking man that drove the car asked us, surprisingly the man spoke English

"Where are we right now?"

Nicole asked

"Well, America of course! We are close to Alabama, I have a farm not far from here, judging from where you were going, I figured that I can help you out"

The man told us

"Then take us to your farm and we will figure things out later"

Nicole said as she hopped into the back of the man's car, I hopped on the back too and the man started driving

"Do you think that this man is dangerous?"

I asked Nicole

"Him? Even if he was I have powers so I will defend you, but after what happened with the whale I don't think you need my help"

Nicole said with a smile

"Back there I was lucky, here in the real world people can do whatever they want, they are not bounded by their surroundings, meaning that this man can even kill us right now"

Nicole laughed at what I said

"Calm down man! He is just a guy driving to his farm, he will not sell our organs or something, we are in the human world now, not the monsters' "

Nicole told me as she patted my shoulder

"Sorry if I sound rude but you shouldn't be laughing after what happened yesterday, if it wasn't for luck then we would have never escaped, plus we know that we are in America, this place is supposed to be the enemy's territory so anyone could attack us at any time"

Nicole's laugh quickly faded as she heard my words, I don't know if she liked them but that's what I felt

"Maybe you are right, maybe we are in danger even now but what can we do about it? You know my mom used to have a simplistic yet right mindset, if you can't do anything about it then don't worry about it"

She said as she relaxed her body on me, I didn't say anything after that, I laid back too and watched the clouds while the man drove us to his farm

"Hey doesn't this cloud look like a duck?"

Nicole told me as she pointed at a cloud, I couldn't see it at first but after Nicole told me about the little details that made it look like a duck I finally noticed it, a game then started, and each one of us picked a cloud and tried to figure out what it looks like, this game lasted until we finally arrived at the man's farm, but before we could arrive we passed by some amazing scenery, big farms, lakes, fields, everything that I could imagine was there, it was beautiful not like the American I have been told about

Before I could realize it we arrived at the farm, it was a big farm with many fields that extended where the eyes couldn't see

"This is my little humble home!"

The man told us as he got out of the car, Nicole and I followed him, the man looked concerned while we approached the house

"I did what you asked me, can you please not follow me silently like that?"

The man asked with a scared look on his face, Nicole didn't say anything, she simply took a bunch of money out of her pocket

"Let us stay here for as long as we need, you will also provide us with food and water, and if anyone else finds out we are here then everything I give now will be taken in double"

Nicole said as she handed the money to the man

"This much money can get me a brand new car! Where did you find all this money?"

The man asked, he couldn't believe his eyes

"I forgot, no questions "

Nicole said as she handed him another money bill

"I will not get in trouble right?"

The man asked as he gulped

"No, you are fine! We are just trying to stay safe for a bit and the streets aren't exactly safe"

Nicole said as she started walking away from the man, the man then looked at me with a confused look, so I awkwardly followed Nicole without saying a word

"Why did you do that?"

I asked Nicole

"Do what?"

She asked confused

"Why did to give him this much money? He will suspect us now!"

I told her, but she didn't see a problem in what she did

"Nevermind, we just have to be careful"

I told her before leaving her, I went inside the house of the man and I saw him eating dinner with his wife

"Hello sweetie! My husband told me about you and your girlfriend and I found it very cute! Two love birds running away from home, oh what wouldn't I give to be young again!"

The woman told me as she daydreamed, I guess that's the best story the man could have told her

"Thank you for supporting us! Can I ask you a question?"

I asked them, and they nodded

"Can we have something to eat? We haven't eaten in days"

I said, my stomach growling also helped them convince them

"Oh, sweetie how rude of us to not notice!"

The woman said as she quickly went to pour us a plate of food

"I will go to inform Nicole"

I awkwardly said before leaving the house, I went to Nicole and informed her and after some minutes food was ready for us too, while we were eating the woman was watching over us while the man worked on the farm

"You look very good together! And let me guess, you ran away because your parents wouldn't let you be together, right? Having this much difference in years when you are young is insane but once you grow up 4 or 6 years aren't something, I'm happy you two stayed together"

The woman told us as she stared at us

"Thank you MS.Frederestons, it was a hard choice for us so it feels nice to have someone that finally supports us two"

Nicole said as she leaned her head toward my shoulder, she then continued eating her food, and the woman never stopped talking with Nicole about love and stuff, thankfully I finished my food fast so I quickly left and went to see the man work, shortly the other two followed, the family of two then taught us how to do some farm work, I was completely foreign to these kinds of jobs but they looked very hard for two people, plus something that surprised me was Nicole, she was very good even though she said she has never worked in a farm

We made milk, feed chickens and then collected their eggs, and finally took the baby pigs inside a farm and rode a bunch of horses for fun

After hours of work, the night came, the man told us to sleep on the same farm we left the pigs in because he was worried, Nicole and I laid on top of a wheat sack, we were covered with a blanket the woman brought us

"It was nice today wasn't it?"

I asked Nicole

"Totally, the horses were amazing plus convincing the old woman was easy as stealing candy from a kid but I don't think the man believed us"

She said while smiling

"You know it feels kind of awkward thinking of us as a couple"

I told her, she slowly turned around with a smile that screamed danger

"Well if you feel like this then why don't we make it a reality? It won't feel weird then will it?"

She said as she kept coming closer and closer to me

"Go away! You are too old for me!"

I told her but she didn't stop

"Come oooon! Let me give you a smooch"

She said as she leaned in for a kiss, I started pushing and kicking her away from me but she kept on coming closer and closer to me, and this pushing and kicking resulted in us falling off from the wheat sack

"Ouch! Why did you push me so hard? I was only teasing you l"

Nicole said as she rubbed her head

"So it's my fault that you have a problematic sense of humor?"

I asked as I got up, suddenly we both noticed something weird, we saw a goat standing on two legs staring at us, and since it was night its eyes were shining bright

"What is this?"

I asked Nicole

"It's probably a low-level monster so let me take care of it quickly"

Nicole said as she got ready to attack it

"Wait! Let me try it, if it is low level then I shouldn't have a problem taking it on, right?"

Nicole seemed a bit hesitant but in the end, she allowed me to fight it

I charged at the goat and punched in on its stomach and head, the goat fell down from my attacks, it felt strange hitting the goat, it was like hitting a balloon filled with water

"Sweet! Now finish it"

Nicole said as she thumbed up, and with a kick to its head everything was done

"You did good but for some reason, this goat didn't even fight back"

Nicole said as she inspected the body, I remained silent as I watched her do her thing, suddenly she got up and looked at me with a suspicious smile

"Do you want to have a friendly spar?"

"And ignoring what just happened? Are you okay Nicole?"

I asked worried

"I know that it sounds odd but seeing you fight made me want to fight you!"

Nicole said as she raised her guard

"Fine but just so you know I will not go all out on a girl"

"How sweet! Now charge at me sucker!"

Nicole told me, so that's what I did, I charged at Nicole but she easily defeated me with her kickboxing skills

"If you get some training, I'm sure that you will be an enjoyable sparring partner! But just so you know you didn't lose just because of my skill, you also lost because of the superhuman strength I have gained from the monster's DNA"

Nicole said as she offered me a hand, I took her hand and stood up

"Now that you tested me can you tell me about what the hell happened with the goat?"

I asked Nicole

"Well monsters either are created or summoned, our little friend right here was summoned by a human, probably one of the Frederestons, I suspect the woman but we can never be so sure"

She told me in a calm tone

"Shouldn't we figure it out?"

"Nah we are good! Just sleep, if they wanted to attack us then they would have already done it, plus they must be very weak, that's why they summoned a monster rather than facing us straight on"

Nicole said as she was lying on the wheat bag

"Are you going to stare at me? Come here and sleep, you will need energy for tomorrow"

Nicole angrily told me, so I quickly got into the so-called bed, some time passed and then I finally asked the question I wanted to ask

"How does this summoning thing works?"

"You simply create a summoning circle and mix monster blood with the subject you want the monster to possess and poof, you got a lesser monster, completely manmade but weak as hell"

Nicole said as she looked visibly tired

"Okay thanks for answering, now I will let you sleep in peace"

I said as I rolled on the opposite side of Nicole, I then slowly fell asleep as I was overwhelmed by every little sound the farm made
