5. The Survivors cave

Chris was so very furious, then walk up to Luke and said, "you mean you can't think before doing something, huh! What if for instance, that shockwave coming from your freaking hand is strong than you anticipated. Did you know what will happen, it would have sliced me in two, and now you talking as if you don't care!"

Luke realized that the entire group was looking at them while waitin for his reply, but he did not want to make a bad impression, and said, "no, I care about you, each one of you. I knew that the cut would not get to him that was why I did it, it was not of bad motives."

Soon after talking Luke whispered into Chris ear, and said, " you know! I put a lot of strength into that one, I am even surprised that I am talking to you right now, you should have being a dead corpse now. But it seems you are not ready to die yet. Everything I do his just for survival, so don't blame my actions."

Chris just stood there, he was unable to say anything. After a while the status window appeared on his retina.

He looked at the word durability with wide eyes. Then he remembered that the slash touched him, but he felt nothing, at first he thought it was the mantis scythe-like leg that touched him. Immediately he gave a sigh of relief.

He also did not get any point from the mantis, but that battle made him stronger.

" Yo, we should get going before does things start coming." Luke called out aloud.

" You guys can go without me." Chris replied after, he knew if those things come again when they are around, he won't be able to fight properly.

Suddenly he looked at the group and saw that they did not intend to leave without him, they rather stay there with him.

" Ok fine, am coming." Chris said, while clutching his teeth.

They all began to walk, following the same path they have been walking before. Their eyes were filled with fear for what will occur next, they kept looking in all directions.

After walking for a while they saw a huge Mountain on their opposite side, the survivors where all relief of their fear as soon as they saw the mountain they advance closer to the mountain until they saw a huge cave, they try to enter but unfortunately they could not, it was as if a wall was in the entrance of the cave.

Soon after deviant started popping out from all directions matching straight to their direction, Chris was confused of what to do in this situation, he started punching the transparent wall thinking it will open. He looked at the entire area and saw that they were all surrounded with no where to escape.

But the thought of death did not overwhelmed him, as long as he could fight back he had no fear, he was just concerned of the life of the survivors standing around him.

Suddenly the entire group run behind Luke and Chris with fear, they were all afraid for their life, the life they had been protect all this time.

Immediately some of the deviants advance more closer to them Chris and Luke could not help but attack the ones that were getting closer.

Luke was now more reliable than before his power as became more effective than before and he also had an enhanced strength.

They kept fighting from all directions to defend the group, but immediately everything changed as a little intensity of fear gripped Chris immediately he felt the presence and blood lust of an unknown deviant beast. Suddenly he stand looking at the direction he felt it from soon after he saw a gigantic ant that was different from the rest they have been fighting ever since, with different body color and different attributes.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you spacing out or something?" Luke shouted calling out to Chris.

" Hey look at that!…" Chris replied after.

" …What the fuck his that?! Luke was terrified by the look of the ant as he took several step back.

"That must be the boss ant no doubt. " Chris took a deep breath clearing every doubt or fear from his nerves.

" How can you be so calm at a time like this, are you thinking of fighting that thing or what, you must have lost your mind if you are thinking what ever am saying!" Luke was trying to warn Chris.

" Master! At your current level of power, you can't fight that boss all by yourself it would be a bad ideas." Arachne tried to talk Chris out.

Chris sighed and say out loud," Don't worry about me, and I know you don't really care about my live. Huh, Luke." He look at Luke and smiled a bitter smile, then he continued, " hey Luke you should just for once help defend the group while I attack the boss.

These time he didn't want to hold back, he knew he would just be putting his life and the group lives at risk if he hold back like before.

He took a running stance, while preparing to take off with speed. Immediately he saw arrow several arrow flying above his head. With another five ice pikes shot towards the incoming boss.

With great precision, the five ice pikes struck the four eyes of the boss ant. The ice pikes melted taking another shape on its eyes blocking its sight. The arrows did not pierced the boss ant, they just hit and fell right back to the ground.

After blocking the eyes of the boss ant. The ant was distracted trying to remove the solidify ice from its eyes.

" Hey come inside quickly, that will only hold it for a little time." A girl leading a group and also leading the survivors Chris saved across the transparent wall she had a beautiful silver colored hair and bright blue eyes. Her skin was white as milk and as smooth as the purest silk, given by her appearance similar to that of a real fairy, however, her expression was as cold as enternal ice with no apparent emotional flow.

Upon seeing the mighty boss ant. This young girl of only 17 did not panic, her gaze did not change in the slightest.

Chris and Luke quickly run towards the entrance that was blocked before as they saw everybody already inside. As they were running the normal ant began to close in on them, but the arrows keep hitting there core.

Immediately they advance closer and jumped pass the solidify transparent wall that they had been touching ever since. As soon as they entered the transparent wall was place back and the ant chasing after them before just hit their face on the wall the survivors thought that the ant would also pass through, but they could not, because the barrier as already been active, after Chris and Luke jumped in.

After taking some time to relax they all turn looking inside the cave, with a dual expression.

" So you guys live inside the cave by yourselves or are they others?" Chris asked.

" You will know when we get inside." The beautiful girl answer after.

Chris was not comfortable by the answer he got, he tried keeping his guard up.

Chris did not trust any of them for a bit. He just followed along because he had no choice.

The darkness in the cave was pitch black it was difficult for them to see their own body, but Chris could see so clearly. Luke and the rest of the survivors group began to complain, but the girl insisted that, they should just be walking. They bagan to advance with both careful, constant and solid step, they began to also notice that the cave was getting brighter as they advance in. Chris on the other hand was busy paying attention to his surrounding. Immediately they started hearing strange voices coming from the direction they are heading.

" That sound. What is it...?! Worried Luke could not hold the question any longer, But he got no answer.

In a split second, they got to the destination. In front of them was a camp-like area fill with survivors and other people. Finally their minds restored to its normal state.

"The two of you should follow me." The girl pointed out to Chris and Luke

" Follow you to where, I think I will pass." Chris said after.

" I want to take you to the leaders who rule around here, and it's not a option you are coming with me or I drag you along." The girl said threatening them.

They had no choice so they began to follow her. As they walked into the midst of the camp, Chris began to observe the entire area. Immediately they walk into another cave inside the cave, where they arrive infront of some guys and girls.

" So these are the people you just save? I see, this two must be special since you brought them here." One of the guy sitting on a rock stood up and started walking around Chris and Luke.

The girl that took them here walk away to sit on top of a rock while she said, " it seem this two have abilities like us I saw that one slashing the ants with some kind of wave coming from his hands, the other one I don't really know, but I saw him with a dagger trying to fight the gigantic boss ant.

The guy who was walking around was surprised and said in a very deadly voice, " so what is your names and your abilities?"

Before Luke could say anything Chris interfered not letting Luke to answer the question. He knew Luke would just blabber every thing out. He then said, " My name is Christopher and my friend here his Luke. I don't really have any ability to speek of I am just fighting with the skill my father thought me, and my friend here he just started feeling signs of some ability.
