Lisa's job as a nurse had always demanded her utmost attention, leaving little room for distractions. However, today was different. As the traffic blurred by them, Tom's pocket began to buzz with an incoming call. He fumbled to retrieve his phone, glancing at the caller ID. It was Emily. His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly answered, his voice laced with caution, "Hey, Em, is everything okay?"
