I'm giving this a five because I'm also a major under crime, mystery and thriller especially when it has to do with a 'whodunit' case. Chapter one reminded me of my friend Jane Casey and her books... I would definitely want to read this book on my leisure time so do well to update faster... ......

Chapter 1
As the sun began to set on the small town of Millfield, Tom stepped out of his car and looked up at the sky. The first stars were starting to appear, and he knew that meant the full moon was only a few nights away. He shuddered at the thought of what might happen when it rose, and turned his attention to the task at hand. He was the new sheriff in town, and he had a job to do.Tom made his way towards the sheriff's office, taking in the sights and sounds of the town as he went. Millfield was a sleepy little place, nestled in a valley surrounded by dense forest. The buildings were old and weathered, but well-maintained, and the people were friendly, if a bit guarded around outsiders like Tom.As he walked into the office, Tom was greeted by his deputy, a grizzled old man named Hank. Hank had been the sheriff before Tom, but had stepped down to make way for the new blood. Tom respected him, but knew he had big shoes to fill."Evening, Hank," Tom said, nodding in greeting. "Anything new

Chapter 2
The next day, Tom sat at his desk, staring at the case file in front of him. The more he read, the more confused he became. All of the victims had been found with their throats torn out, and there were no signs of a struggle. It was almost as if they had willingly let their attacker kill them.He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. This case was starting to get to him. He needed a break. Standing up, he grabbed his coat and headed out the door.As he walked through the streets, he couldn't help but notice the bright sun shining above him. It was strange, he thought, how the murders only seemed to happen once a month, always during the full moon.Suddenly, he heard a scream coming from an alleyway up ahead. Without hesitation, he ran towards the sound. When he arrived, he found a young woman crouched on the ground, holding her bleeding arm. Her eyes widened in fear as she saw him approach."It's okay, I'm here to help," Tom said gently, crouching down beside her. "What happe

Tom stood up and brushed himself off. He looked down at his watch and saw that several hours had passed since he had first entered the park. He had no memory of what had happened in the intervening time.As he made his way back to his car, Tom couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. He felt as if he was being watched, and he kept looking over his shoulder. When he finally got into his car and started the engine, he let out a deep breath of relief. He drove back to the station, his mind racing. He had to find out what had happened in the park, and he had to do it fast. He knew that he couldn't do it alone, so he called Jane and asked her to meet him at the station. When she arrived, Tom briefed her on what had happened in the park. Jane listened carefully, her face grave."Do you think it was the werewolf?" she asked.Tom nodded. "It's the only explanation. I think it attacked me."Jane frowned. "But why would it just leave you there? Why didn't it kill you?""I don't know

Chapter 4
Tom had been discharged from the hospital, but he still felt weak and vulnerable. He had always been the strong one, the protector, and now he was the one who needed protection. It was a humbling experience, and one that he was not entirely comfortable with.Emily had taken a few days off work to stay with him and help him recover. She cooked him meals, brought him books to read, and kept him company. He appreciated her kindness, but he also felt guilty. He was supposed to be the one taking care of her, not the other way around. That afternoon, Emily came into his bedroom and sat down on the edge of his bed. "Dad, there's something I need to tell you."Tom sat up straighter, suddenly alert. "What is it?""It's about me," Em said. "About my past."Tom frowned. "What about your past?""I...I used to hang out with a bad crowd," Emily said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was involved in some things that I'm not proud of."Tom felt a cold dread wash over him. "What kind of things?""

Martinez nodded. "Agreed. And Tom, we need you to stay on this case. You have a personal stake in it now, and your insights could be invaluable."Tom sighed, but he knew the detective was right. He couldn't let his fear hold him back. "Okay, I'll stay on the case."As they left the crime scene, Tom couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the werewolf than they realized. He needed to find out what it was, before it was too late. Over the next few days, Tom threw himself into the investigation, working long hours and poring over files and evidence. Jane helped whenever she could, but she had her own job and responsibilities to attend to.Despite their efforts, however, they were no closer to identifying the werewolf. They had found no connections between the victims, and no witnesses had come forward with any useful information.Tom was getting frustrated, feeling like they were hitting a dead end. He needed a break, a fresh perspective. He decided to pay a visit to the loca

Tom rushed to their side and saw that Dave had picked the ripped cloth into the sipped evidence nylon."Good afternoon, I'm sheriff Tom" Tom introduced himself when he got to their side and they looked up at the man who just introduced himself."Afternoon, sheriff, I'm Racheal and my partner is Bob, we are journalists from Ace television stations. What do you think of what's going on here?"Racheal asked while Tom sighs."It's quite tough on us to see our people being torn apart by a beast or an animal, and this occurrence has led us to the theory that we have werewolves out there ready to tear our city apart. But I believe with a little investigation by me and my team, we will bring such demons to the ground totally." Tom said and Racheal nodded."Thanks for your words, sheriff, what's your word to the citizens under fear of what will happen next?"
