At that moment Damien leaned back slightly, his gaze steady as Mr. Leo’s polished words lingered in the air. Despite the businessman’s smooth denial, Damien’s instincts flared. He knows something, Damien thought, his mind piecing together the subtle tension in Mr.Leo’s tone and posture.

“Mr.Leo,” Damien began, his voice calm but deliberate, “if I’m wrong about your access to the herb, then I apologize. But if there’s another reason—perhaps something personal—maybe we can work together instead.”

Upon hearing what Damien just said.

Mr.Leo’s brows furrowed slightly, his usually composed demeanor slipping for a fraction of a second. “What are you implying?” he asked, his voice still measured but carrying a hint of wariness.

However Damien kept his tone neutral.

“I’m suggesting that if you need the herb for a reason—like a medical condition—I may be able to help. My focus isn’t just on acquiring the herb but ensuring it’s used to its fullest potential.”

At that moment he adjusted his tailored suit, his expression doubtful. “You really believe this person exists?” he asked, his tone polite but edged with incredulity. “We’re talking about an illness even Kyle couldn't handle. If I have to cross a few lines to get those answers or get him to treat me grandfather, then so be it.”At that moment the car grew quiet again, the weight of her words settling over them.
