Chapter 11

Alex walked to the desk where a lady sat on a chair a few feet taller than the table. She was dressed in a sleeveless white top and a black skirt. Alex tapped the table to draw her attention, seeing she had her ears blocked with an airpod.

“Hello, good day,” Alex greeted. She sized him, then scoffed.

“Sorry, this is the wrong place. There's no job vacancy here and we don't offer help to the less privileged,” she said to him. She was about to plug the airpods back in her ear but stopped.

“Why would the security even let someone like you in?” She muttered.

She got up from her chair and proceeded to the front of the desk, standing a few distance away from Alex. “Kindly take your leave sir,” she said.

“I'm here to get a jewelry. I booked an appointment earlier this week,” Alex said almost immediately. The lady couldn't help herself as she burst into an uncontrollable laughter.
