Elijah slowly opened his eyes, the white ceiling is the first thing he saw. He also quickly heard the noise that he thought was the sound of music.

"Are you awake, bro?"

He turned to the speaker and saw his friend, Raiven. Is he the one who saved him?

God, he thought that he died.

"How did I get here?" Elijah asked as he slowly got up. He can still feel the pain of his wounds, he can't move his arm properly because of what happened.

Raiven laughed. "I caught you being hurt by those cowards," his friend answered "What happened to you? Why are they hurting you? Do you have a debt with them?" the man added.

Elijah sighed before shaking his head. "I just passed by where they were, and then the man with many tattoos on his body punched me," he explained. "It's good that they let you save me."

"Of course I said Ares name," Raiven simply said.

Elijah didn't say a word and just nodded. Ares is known as the leader of many gangs, he is also their friend but they only get together sometimes because Ares is always busy with things that he doesn't understand. What they know is that there are many people who want to kill Ares. So they will not be surprised if one day they hear that he is dead, but they know that he will not be killed easily.

"I thought I would never see you alive, your face is full of blood when I saw you. That bullshit group is really into something," Raiven murmured.

"I thought I was going to die too," he answered.

"Why are you wandering around for such an hour?" Raiven asked him.

"There was just a problem at the grocery store, there was a customer who didn't pay. He ran away so fast, I didn't catch up. My salary will be deducted from what that customer stole," Elijah explained and felt extremely tired.

"Do you want me to beat up your boss?" Raiven laughed.

He immediately looked at his friend and shook his head. He and Raiven have been friends for a long time, he doesn't even know how they lasted so long because they don't have the same attitude. But Raiven is the only one he can rely on whenever he has problems.

He didn't pay attention to what Raiven said. "My boss even threatened me that if the man who stole didn't deduct my salary, he would fire me. And of course I don't want that to happen because Flor will be angry with me," he exclaimed.

Raiven just looked at him. "Why did you still stay in that Flor's house? She's hurting you too, right? You can look for somewhere else to live, you're still putting up with that bitvh."

"You know I don't have a choice, right? And it's okay, I owe Flor a lot because she adopted me," Elijah answered.

"That's bullshit! When she adopted you, did your life go well? It didn't, right? She even made you a cleaner in her house," Raiven said annoyed. "And you can live here at my bar, I'll even give you a job."

Elijah shook his head and didn't say a word. He was taken to Raiven's bar, he knew it immediately because it was where they often hung out. The man owns a bar, ever since he met him he has always been offered a job in his bar but Elijah always refuses it.

"Stella always asks me about you, you know that girl likes you," Raiven suddenly said. "Why don't you want her? She's rich and kind. She also has big boobs, that girl is a full package."

When he didn't say a word, Raiven examined him. "Are you still not able to move on with Mara?"

Elijah quickly looked away from his question, what he did made his friend laugh even louder as if he was watching a funny show.

They left that room, Elijah quickly saw the people who were having fun and dancing on the dance floor. He also saw someone making out on the sofa. He didn't know what time it was but he thought it was still night.

Raiven invited him to sit down and ordered some wine. He didn't say a word and just let the man choose what they would drink.

Elijah could see the reflection of his face in the glass he was holding. His face is full of band aids, there is also a scratch on his forehead, there are also bandages on his arm and legs. He thinks that if his Raiven didn't save him that would be his death.

He is not afraid to die, he would rather die than continue his life that is pointless.

When the bartender poured his glass, he drank it quickly, not even knowing the name of the wine he drank. He quickly felt its bitterness in his throat but somehow he felt better.

Elijah couldn't count how many glasses he drank, Raiven disappeared from his side and was seen on the dance floor with a beautiful girl.

He also felt dizzy and felt like he was going to vomit. So he slowly stood up and went straight to the restroom, when he opened the door he immediately saw a couple kissing each other but he didn't pay attention to them, the couple kissing each other didn't pay attention to him either.

He entered a cubicle and vomited up quickly, he felt like his internal part was about to throw up. Elijah stayed in the cubicle for a few more minutes before leaving feeling better.

When he got out he went straight to the sink and washed his hands and face, when he finished he was about to go out but the door of a cubicle opened and his drunkenness seemed to disappear in an instant when he saw who came out of the cubicle.

Mara, his ex-girlfriend. Their eyes quickly met but she quickly looked away, Elijah looked at the man who came out of the cubicle where she came from.

Elijah froze when he realized what had happened inside that damn cubicle. He quickly walked back to his couch with Raiven. When he sat down, he quickly drank alcohol again and he drank one after another, he didn't notice the tears in his eyes.

'She was quick to find someone new' he thought.

Mara was the first woman he fell in love with, they were together for three years. They treated each other well and they were so in love. But one night Mara broke up with him for reasons he didn't expect.

Mara broke up with him because she said he was poor.
