Chapter Twenty Three

Henry checked his wristwatch for the umpteenth time, and Ava was not there yet. He tapped the table continuously using his finger. He kept staring at the door and back at the table. Someone walked into the open building at a beautiful spot in the park.

There were a few people seated at different tables, but she ignored them all and walked straight to where Henry sat. He lifted his head immediately when she approached, and a smile curved on his lips, but the smile disappeared immediately when he realized that she wasn't Ava.

She was smiling down at Henry, and Henry didn't recognise her from anywhere.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" He demanded with a scorn.

She sighed and tried to sit on the empty chair opposite Henry, but he quickly stuck his chair under the table and pulled the chair in.

"Someone would join me soon, and I am sure she would not want to see you here," Henry told her.
