I Can't Accept

My steps continued to run as fast as I could, even though the dense forest tried to pull me into its embrace. The giant branches brushed the breeze as if to guide me through this secret corridor of nature. The humid air hugs every fiber, carrying the scent of wet earth and fresh leaves. Sunlight danced through the green leaves, marking the path that I hoped would lead me to Nola. However, the longer it goes on, the emptier it becomes. Every corner of the forest looks the same, and Nola's traces are increasingly eroded by this fierce nature. The strength within me began to run out, and my body collapsed in exhaustion, falling into the darkness of unconsciousness.
