So Hard to Say Thank You

The wolf growled, but it looked into my eyes and seemed to catch my sincerity. The wolf didn't attack, it was quiet and started to believe me. I could really feel it that this animal trusted me. However, now I feel responsible. Apparently my attacks on the wings and in the mouth weakened it. I just realized that blood was dripping out from between his sharp teeth, it must all be because of my fiery punches earlier.

"I'm sorry," I said.

The animal gave a low moan, as if it agreed with my apology. I swallowed hard and drew closer to it. My hand could almost touch its nose and it let me do it too. Its ears slowly drooped, reminding me of a dog starting to let down its guard and trusting a human.

"Attack!" shouted Rais who was able to stand up straight.

"No! Don't!" I shouted.

However, of course no one listened to my call. Fiery arrows immediately shot out and because the wolf was not on alert, one arrow managed to penetrate its front leg.
