Photograph Pt2

"It can't be a coincidence that a month after my father declined their offer was the same month my father was killed." Scott pondered internally. "It seems Mr. Fernando wasn't alone in all of these." He mused, and his gaze fixed on the names and numbers written behind the picture.

"Carlos Alberto, Juan Carlos, Rosa Maria, Mariana Perla." Scott read through the names with boiling anger. Even though Scott couldn't see the faces of the two men beside his father, he could remember their faces vividly because he was also present at the party where the picture was taken.

They probably wouldn't remember him, same way Mr. Fernando didn't recognised him because he was only a child back then and was yet to mature.

"Juan Carlos and Carlos Alberto took over my father's Oil and gas enterprise immediately after his death. They claimed that my father sold it to him moments before his death. But now I know the truth. They all killed him so they would get the business he refused to sell to them."

"Wait, did you just say you found a photograph of your father in Mr. Fernando's drawer?" Sandro questioned in a serious tone. "Yeah. I did." Scott replied. "For you to have access to his personal belongings means he now trusts you? Two two have gotten close?" Sandro inquired. "Yup. I have succeeded in gaining his trust. Though I sacrificed a lot and went through hell, but in the end I was successful." Scott replied. "That's good, Boss." Sandro commented. "Now that I've gotten close to him it means the mission is almost over. But before I take care if him I need to find the rest of them who were also involved in it." Scott articulated."And how are you so sure that Juan Carlos was involved?" Sandro asked. "Not just Juan Carlos. His brother too and two more ladies. But let's deal with the men first before the ladies, shall we?""You asked why I think they were responsible, right? Well, the year this photograph was taken Juan Carlos was trying to convince my father to sell his comp

Tori froze after hearing the words of Scott, and silence erupted in the room. She struggled to digest the information she just heard as it felt surreal to her. "You... You... You did what?" After a few minutes of silence, she finally spoke up in a shaky tone. "I killed Theo Lahey. Shot him in the chest and watched him die." Scott replied.. "What?!" Tori exclaimed out loud in shock. "Listen, Tori, you can hate me all you want I don't care. I only did what was right. The Special force finally caught up to him after all the bad things he has done, and he tried to run away. They tried asking him to stop but he refused, and since I was closer to him than the Special force I had to put a bullet in his chest to put him down." "What I did was a good deed. I was only going the society a favour. Doing you a favour. You should be thanking me instead of questioning!" Scott articulated. "Thanking you?! You just killed my husband!" Tori voiced out, her voice mixed with anger and sadness

"I remember when I betrayed you for the first time because I was scared of losing my job. I turned my back on you when you were being accused of theft, and in the end you forgave me. And now that I have wronged you again you want to forgive me. I know I do not deserve your help, but right now I don't feel anyone else, so, please, Scott, I beg you, help us." Tori pleaded solemnly. "It shall be done." Scott replied before hanging up.Immediately after the call was disconnected he clicked on his banking app and transferred $300,000 to Tori's account. After making the transfer he switched his phone off to prevent her from calling to thank him, and he laid down on his bed with his eyes closed. "Reason behind that was to confirm if I am right or wrong. I never published the post to see if the Hunter will show up. But guess what? He did. Isn't that strange?""I was the only one who knows that the post wasn't published, and with the post not being published it means there will be nothing to lure the Hunter into the underground fighting arena. But for some reason he came." Scott articulated. Silence erupted in the place as Scott was done with his words, and Chief Jim just sat there, digesting the information he just heard. Scott remained in silence for a few minutes and when he noticed the other wasn't saying anything he continued. "For the Hunger to have gone to the underground fighting arena the exact same date and time that he was supposed to when he sees the post.. Meaning he was aware about it." Scott remarked. "Yes, we are aware the Hunter had a comrade in our midst, and that comrade was Blake. However, we made sure Blake was never alone all though the night.. None of

"He was probably doing all that to avoid getting suspected. Most of the Hunter's victims are mostly gangsters that were brought in for questioning or police officer. Jordan is always present during the questioning so he knew the faces of the gangsters...he also has access to the police station so it's quite easy to locate an officer and kill him.""You also told me that the Hunter's dagger was going in your son, Robby's backpack, and Jordan is a close friend of Robby. Aren't these enough reason to believe that your partner, Jordan, is the fucking Hunter?" Scott voiced out. Chief Jim gulped down saliva, his face filled with sweat, and his whole shirt drenched. He stood there motionless, processing the words he just heard."It's okay if you don't believe me, though. After all, I didn't provide a concrete evidence and it's all just an assumption." Scott added calmly. "But deep down you know I'm right.""At this moment I am not sure I know anything. I've known Jordan since he was a kid.

That accent.. Scott pondered internally after reading the voice of the male that had just arrived, and he couldn't help but shift his gaze towards him. Glancing at the man, Scott could tell from his dressing and appearance that he was from the Arabic countries. "She'll be back in a second. Just went to get my order." Scott affirmed before shifting his gaze away and decided not to think too much about it. After all, the country was filled with different races so seeing a man like him here was totally normal. Baron Arman lighted up a cigartte and took a puff before speaking, "I'm new in town by the way." He informed, smoke oozing out of his mouth. "Oh, reall?" Scott replied calmly as he patiently waited for his drink. "Yeah. My plane landed last night so I decided to take a look around this city today until I found this nice bar." Baron Arman replied. "I see. So, are you visiting or just here for a holiday?" Scott inquired without sparing him a glance. "Actually, I'm here for bu

Amanda poured whiskey into Scott's glass and he picked it up and gulped down the whole thing. Amanda pulled a chair closer to him before taking a seat. She glanced at Scott for a few moments before speaking. "How were you able to do that?" She inquired. "Do what?" Scott replied with a question before pouring himself another shot."Your moves. The way you dealt with the man was like a well trained fighter. Who are you?" Amanda questioned in bewilderment."I don't think you should be worried about that, eh?" Scott replied without sparing her a glance as he took a sip. Scott used to be apart of the military back when he was young. He trained vigorously like they were training for an upcoming war.. The training was so intense that the general thought it might be a little bit extreme for Scott's tender age and he suggested they go easy on him. However, Scott declined his offer and carried on with the same vigorous training the rest of the soldiers were doing. During his time in the ca

Meanwhile… Elsewhere on Scott’s estate…In a quiet, deserted section of the property, four guards sat in a loose circle on wooden chairs, their flashlights clutched in their left hands while their rifles hung over their shoulders. The air was cool and thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the chirping of distant insects. They were stationed near the outer boundary of the estate—a less-traveled area that bordered dense woods. "I can't believe boss is back, man." One of the guards said, raising his plastic and sipping the gin he held in his right hand."I can't believe that after all these months he finally returned. Many said he was dead, some said he abandoned the empire because of all the responsibilities. But he's finally back." Another guard spoke up, and a joyful expression evident on his face."I'm really glad he's back. Even though I haven't met him or see him, I know he's a good and generous man. He increases our salary every month back then. No

Scott walked up the staircase, ascending toward his room with slow, deliberate steps. When he reached the door, he paused for a moment before pushing it open. Scott stood silently at the threshold, his eyes sweeping across the space as a distant, unreadable expression settled on his face. The room was exactly as he had left it months ago. Not a single thing seemed out of place. There were no cobwebs in the corners, no dust blanketing the surfaces—clear evidence that the maids had continued tending to it regularly. They must have believed he would one day return, and they had kept it in perfect shape, almost as if time had stopped here."At least he didn't touch my room," Scott murmured to himself, stepping inside and gently closing the door behind him.He moved toward the bed and sat down heavily, leaning his elbows on his knees, his back hunched and his mind consumed with thought. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes told a different story—one of confusion, disappointment,

  • Welcome back, boss!

Scott ran his fingers through his sleek black hair and paced back and forth on the raised platform. The things he was hearing now were vastly different from how things had been just months ago. It felt like everything had changed completely—as if he had been gone for years—yet it hadn't even been a full year since his departure."You mean Sandro never used the money I sent him to support the companies?" Scott finally questioned, his voice edged with disbelief."No, he didn’t," Kael replied audibly. "Whenever I told him the company was running low on cash, he would say we should manage because you hadn’t been answering your calls. The company was slowly going bankrupt because there was no money to sustain it. That’s why I took those loans.""Sandro?" Scott echoed bitterly. "How could he do this to me? I trusted him.""I don’t think now is the time for you to worry about that, boss. You literally just got back home after months. You should’ve told me you were coming—I would have—""What

Kael stood motionless on the raised platform, a puzzled expression evident on his face as his eyes locked onto the sleek black car slowly driving onto the green field. The murmuring of the crowd faded into a tense silence as all heads turned to watch the vehicle approach. A thick wave of curiosity and unease swept through them, each person wondering who could possibly be inside. They all recognized the vehicle. It wasn’t just any car—it was a limousine reserved exclusively for the highest-ranking members of the empire. But all known high-ranking figures were already present on the field. The presence of this particular car raised an immediate and unsettling question: who else could it be?Down on the wooden platform, Jude Gallagher remained on his knees, his wrists still bound. He squinted at the advancing limousine, his breath caught in his throat. Then, slowly, a wide grin crept across his bruised face.“He’s… back,” he muttered softly, the words barely a whisper, yet somehow still

The sleek black limousine kept driving through the street, and after what seemed like forever, they finally arrived inside an estate. This estate belonged to Scott, and tall mansions could be seen here and there. Scott sat in the car, examining the whole estate through the window."How I've missed this place," he mused with a smile, and the Limo kept driving forward. But Scott noticed something was wrong."Where is everyone?" he asked, raising a brow."They're all at the green field. Kael is going to execute Jude Gallagher today. The man betrayed the empire, and today is the day he will be judged," Jerry responded."Jude Gallagher? The accountant?" Scott questioned."Yes, sir. Kael recently discovered that Jude has been stealing money from the company. He’s been using the funds he stole to build a gang. Kael found his little territory where he kept his weapons—guns, daggers, machetes... and other ammunition. He’s also been using the money to hire men to work for him. Kael says he's be

Elsewhere...Scott had already booked the flight and successfully paid all the bills. Now, he sat inside the plane after waiting for several minutes. He was seated by the window, and beside him was Ali. Ali had his head down, cold sweat trickling down his face as he muttered prayers under his breath. It felt like he was right back in Scott's jet, and it was crashing all over again. He hadn’t recovered from the shock and fear he felt during that incident, so right now, he was freaking out while sitting there.Scott, on the other hand, remained silent. It had been close to a year since he left, and he couldn't help but wonder how much had changed while he was away.He knew one thing for sure—things wouldn’t be the same. A lot must have changed, and many people might have even forgotten him.Scott pondered for several minutes, and when the pil

Mr. Leeray grabbed the wooden table with a single hand and lifted it into the air, and he instantly spotted the man hiding under it. He tossed the table to the side of the room and shifted his gaze back to Joe. Joe's heart raced, his eyes filled with terror, and cold sweat trickled down his face. "What's the matter? Come on, rise up," Mr. Leeray gestured, and Joe hesitated. "I said rise up, man. You have no reason to be scared. As long as you do exactly what I tell you to do, we won't have a problem," Mr. Leeray added. Joe hesitated for a few seconds before rising up slowly. Before he could rise fully, Mr. Leeray grabbed him by the collar and picked him up aggressively. He moved swiftly to the wall and pinned him against it. "Please... don't kill me. I haven't wronged you in any way," Joe whimpered, and tears gathered in his eyes. "I won't kill you if you tell me what I need to know," Mr. Leeray spat, and his gaze fixed intently on Joe. The officer marched into the office, his expression fierce and unrelenting, his hands tightly gripping his AK-47. He scanned the room for a few tense moments before speaking.“Time’s up.
