Chapter 6 Game changer

"We're meeting Cosmos Dane, I wanted both of you to meet earlier but you said you were tired. He is not your regular kind of guy, Loyalty from Comos is always earned. Once earned you can't vouch for it."

Warren walks side by side with Harlan. "Why must I meet him, he is paid for his hard work, that is enough compensation."

"You're a Lord, young master no one can intimidate you," Harlan said before he clicked the door open and they got inside a large suite.

The door shuts behind him frantically setting his heart into a hiccup of beats, Warren was offered a seat to the left in the suite.

He raised his head at the bodyguard who poured wine into the glass for them. "Is this another exotic wine?"

Warren asked, Harlan chuckled pouring it into the glass. "You must be acquitted from your previous line of work," Harlan said, impressed by Warren's statement.

"What is the cost of the wine? Our young master here is curious."

"This is Chateau Margaux, it cost $219,000." Warren was not fazed at the reply. Besides the figure was like a chicken change to him, now that he's a Donald.

He shifted the gas from his table. "Bring me the most expensive wine in the cellar," Warren thought back to Floyd insulting him over the wine that was nothing compared to what he's having now.

"Be fast, do not annoy the young master, take this shit away." The waiter hurriedly grabbed the drink on the table to be disposed but Warren stopped his hand.

"I will use it as a souvenir," Warren smirked.

Harlan snapped his hand, he was doing everything to please the young master and forget all about the hard life he's left before he finally met him.

"Where is your boss! Does he have any idea of who he's keeping on the deck, call him out now!"

Warren is surprised, Harlan is a man of dignity, for him to work through the cracks of glass for him, he must be worth it.

But something bothers him, what he will do to the man who disobeyed him.

Warren didn't react he took a glass of the wine and sipped it, the man came inside. "I heard you found Lord Welsh."

He sat on the luxurious seat, the one you'd sit in for hours and not feel any pain in your buttocks.

"What on earth is wrong with you? You kept Our young master waiting for close to thirty minutes."

Warren felt a stab of annoyance. "I suppose he's lord Welsh. I can sense his supremacy smoking out of him."

But he's holding the glass to his mouth, Warren scoffed and then looked down at the table. "You're right, Cosmos Dane, you won't like what will befall you."

Cosmos laughed, his mouth revealing two rows of perfect teeth. "Tell me Warren where were you while we stuff the shit you left behind together!"

Fuck!

Warren struggled with Harlan's hand holding his hand down to the couch.

"I'm back, let 's be reassured it is only a matter of time before you realise how much of a Lord was made within the period of my glitch."

Harlan clapped for Warren he didn't expect Warren will stand out against daring Cosmos so well.

Cosmos sighed. "I haven't seen a challenge that will make me sweat all my life. I'm nervous before you."

Warren is alarmed that the tough Cosmos Dane accepted him so quickly. He was not expecting it to be as swift as a click. He thought to himself.

"But–" Cosmos Dane snapped Warren out of his trance. "I'm not sure you can lead the whole mafia group, what level is your defence skill? Not until I figure that out I will not accept you as my boss."

Harlan shook his hand to his head. "Cosmos this young master is Lord Welsh, he's not getting in for any of your tricky games."

"I challenge you to a duel, assuming you win." He observed Warren's thin biceps under the shirt he wore, his muscles flexing as he took another sip of his glass of wine. "I will serve you more sincerely than anyone you could imagine."

Warren studied the glass for a whole.

"Stop this nonsense! Young master is fragile, the young master was beaten. . ." he stopped, Warren looked determined if he spewed his weakness now, Cosmos might take advantage of Warren, instead he waited on Warren.

"I accept your challenge, Cosmos Dane. I hate working with snitches."

Cosmos Dane rings a bell and the bodyguards walled in and walk through the suite. There was no wasting of time before the room was converted into a duel ring.

"I told you he will want to take advantage of you, with or without this duel nothing will change, your supremacy can't be ruled over." He dismissed his hand in the air.

"Trust me, Harlan, I need an outlet like you said."

Cosmos took out his cloth and placed it on the hanger exposing his six packs.

Warren did the same, despite the marks on his body he didn't lurch first at Harlan. He stood like a gladiator in the court, studying the game and the player,

Cosmos was fast but not extremely fast, Warren observed his right hand served him better than his left. That is a good advantage.

"Young master, I won't let you win easily."

Harlan still doesn't support either of them, he shakes his head and sits by the corner watching the crazy guys fist their hands into each other.

"Harlan, get up and act as the referee anyone who gets thrown outside the court will be the loser. Your young master is going to need a stretcher!"

Warren chuckled, Cosmos locked at him first. Warren noticed Cosmo's derailment. Cosmos sighs. "The stretcher is not necessarily for me, I'm sure."

Cosmos felt spasms run through him, before he knew it he was hanging outside the box, laughing and laughing hard. "That was a long time ago, I haven't felt what a real fight is."

"Do you still doubt my credibility?" Warren stretched out his hand to help him from the floor.

Cosmos shakes it and grabs it, he gets up and falls to his knees before Warren. "No, young master, you're more suited for your position.

Harlan jumped up excitedly. He checked Warren for possible injuries but saw nothing, not a scratch on his skin.

"Cosmos you will be locked up and rooted out anytime you do something crazy as this ever."

Warren grabbed his coat. Stepping out, breaking his neck now that he has Cosmos, a business tycoon and someone very influential within his grasp, his path to supremacy is unmerited.

Floyd rushed to meet Harlan the instant he spotted him walking down the lobby.

"Mr Harlan, I spent the whole day in your office. It would be an insult for me not to meet you, so I brought this gift for you instead." Harlan squinted his eyes at the show, he shunned Floyd out of his way.

Harlan was like a master to Floyd; he rushed after him. "This is a premium gift set, Mr Harlan, I want to be your partner for life."

Kaylani was on her feet too, pleading with Harlan. "Sir Harlan, my fiance here adores you a lot to get a gift custom-made for you within an hour, please accept it."

Harlan collected the box and gave it an interesting look. Floyd noticed and rushed forward. "Sir Harlan if this is not enough I will have another one made right away."

Harlan chuckled, shocking Floyd, what did he find funny, could this be some circus display? Oh no he spent millions of dollars due to an hour's notice to get the box custom-made.

"Floyd, you think you can come into my office and insult me? Bribe me?"

Floyd shakes his head in shock. "Sir Harlan, forgive me." Floyd clenched his teeth like a dog begging his master for bone.

"The Welsh group starting from today will not have anything to do with the Gelan family, you're cut off."

Floyd's eyes shoot open in bewilderment. What has he done? He quickly grabbed the hem of Harlan's shirt. "Sir Harlan, it hasn't gotten to this, if the gift doesn't please you you can throw it away!"

Harlan jerks his shirt from his hand. " If he persists drag him and his bitch out, I don't want to have anything to do with beggars!"

Harlan concluded and walked inside his Rolls Royce parked outside.

"Get out you morons! What are you waiting for!" The security yelled, kicking them.

Harlan turned to Kaylani. A slap sweeps across her face. "It's all because of you bitch! Get out of my sight."

Just as the schism between the two lovers persisted, Warren walked across the opposite side of the road and boarded a cab.

"Street beggar, that bastard dared call me that." Harlan hitched, rubbing his finger across his bottom lips, he loosened his suit tie. His mind wandered to Warren on second thought; the idiot is a nobody looking for a menial job to put at least a one-time meal on his table.

No… it can't be Warren! Floyd scrutinized himself from the arm and suit he wore that cost thousands of dollars to his Italian shoe and thought he looked nothing like a lowly street beggar, he jerked his car key and fumed like a furnace that had caught fire, hit the car break and revved out.

Warren's cab stopped in front of the Lance family, staring down at the wine in his hand he knocked on the door and headed inside, his in-law family doesn't approve of him, and their review of him will all changes after they spot the rare wine in his hand, he smirked as he will turn head especially that of his lovely wife, Sawyer.
