"This order will turn to you."
Aiden typed. "What do you mean?"
Aiden sat on the park bench waiting for a reply. He looked around, hoping no one would catch him.
"You will be the target of this order."
Damn, that site set him up. Like it or not, he had to comply with their request, but what if he reported this site to the police as a cyber crime? But no way, he didn't have enough evidence. If he refused, he would die.
It was raining quite heavily, he stole a homeless man's jacket in a small alley. He covered his head, walking with his arms folded.
The rain was quite heavy, some people were walking slowly, it was getting dark. Aiden waited behind a wall, occasionally turning his head to the end of the sidewalk. He was hungry and cold.
Aiden looked at the phone. "That must be her."
He took a deep breath. As soon as the girl passed by, he pulled her away onto the sidewalk.
The young woman screamed. "What are you doing?"
Aiden removed the hood, then put his forefinger to the woman's lips, asking her to calm down. The woman blinked, feeling a strange tremor as she stared at the rather handsome man.
"I'm Venus. I thought I saw you somewhere."
"Sorry, I don't recognize you." The woman gripped the umbrella tightly, feeling threatened.
Aiden looked uneasy. He turned around and faced the woman again.
"Dating app, I saw you there." The rain had soaked Aiden's hair and face.
The woman looked thoughtful. "Yeah, I used it a few months ago."
"I thought I could get to know you." Aiden laughed awkwardly, his heart racing.
"Okay."
Aiden paused, then leaned closer, touching the woman's face. Her hair was curly, there were freckles on her cheekbones, her lips were full. Aiden kissed her gently. The umbrella came down, the rain drenching their passion.
One of Aiden's hands took something from under his jacket and swung it confidently. The kiss broke, the woman gasped and had trouble breathing.
"I'm sorry." Aiden stabbed the woman once more.
The woman fell after Aiden withdrew the knife. Blood seeped, flowing down the street, the rain making the red color spread faster. Aiden looked at the woman struggling against the pain as lightning rang out.
Aiden put an umbrella under the woman's head, then took a photo and left.
He kept running until he felt out of breath. He went to a convenience store, took a sip of canned beer, breathed as much as possible, and then he found a message that he had received 500 dollars.
"Congrats, you have completed the first task."
"You will receive another task to reach a certain level."
"Do you want to continue the contract or not?"
Aiden shuddered, he never thought that he would find this horrible game. Maybe he should quit.
Aiden booked a motel before looking for a new apartment. He lay on the bed in wet clothes.
"You have received 500 dollars."
After agreeing to the contract mission, Aiden received 100 dollars, which he could use for anything. Aiden bought a new knife and paid for a taxi. He also received information about the woman, including what she liked and where she worked.
He had undressed and washed the knife in the sink, then thrown it away, including the clothes he was wearing. He must not leave a trace.
The next day, he walked on a sidewalk before going to work. The atmosphere was very familiar. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Fred leaning smugly against his car.
"Did I take too long?" Eri asked with a friendly smile and sat in the front.
Aiden could see that the man looked very happy as he walked into the car.
Aiden followed them, but he couldn't find a single taxi passing by. He finally ordered an Uber. Aiden lost track, but Fred must have gone back to the office, so he waited there.
In the basement, a car was just parked. The door opened, and Aiden immediately attacked Fred, grabbing him by the collar and punching him in the face.
"Bastard, you secretly took everything from me." Aiden kicked Fred once in the stomach.
"Aiden, stop." Eri walked from the elevator to where the car was parked. "What are you doing?" Eri walked over to Fred, helping him up.
"Babe." Aiden reached for Eri's hand, but she brushed it away. "I want to talk to you for a minute."
"No, I can't."
The two wanted to leave, but Aiden blocked their way. "Please listen to me, what am I doing wrong, that you won't pick up my phone."
"Everything is clear, what else do you expect?" Eri sighed. "Aiden, you better not see me again."
"I don't want us to break up." Aiden shouted in frustration.
Eri looked at him quizzically, then walked over to Aiden. "It's all your fault, you got fired. I tried to make things right, asked father to accept you back, but no, it's my fault for not seeing your true form."
"What do you mean?" Aiden shot a quick glance at Fred, who was holding back a smile. "Eri, what do you mean, Duke is accusing me?" Aiden suddenly laughed, making Eri somewhat annoyed.
"Duke must be saying that I'm incompetent at work, right?"
Fred immediately stood between Aiden and Eri. Aiden stared at the two in disbelief, Eri had gotten over it so easily and Fred was such an asshole.
"I asked you not to see me again."
"Eri."
"Stop," Fred said, acting like a hero, blocking Aiden.
"Get out of my way, you're just a driver." For some reason those words hurt him, Aiden remembered them coming out of Duke's mouth.
"He's right." Eri walked forward, facing Aiden boldly. "You need to stop, I don't want anything to do with you."
"Give me a reason why our relationship should end, please, give me a chance. I'm sorry if I hurt you or left you in danger."
"Stop, I won't be fooled. That's enough, Aiden. We're over." Eri sighed as she watched Aiden silently. "I thought after I graduated, and we got married, I could ask father to make you an employee. Work in an office and not be a driver. But you ruined all those hopes."
That statement made Aiden's jaw drop. He regretted what had happened. Eri thought about it. Aiden should have been careful until they got married.
"Eri."
"You ruined everything." Eri's tears fell. Then she got into the car.
Fred whispered to Aiden. "I secretly take everything from you."
Aiden clenched his fists, his jaw hardened, he was about to throw a punch, but Fred was already in the car, and they were out of there.
He got a job at a fast food restaurant. It was his first day at work. He worked in a kitchen. While frying the chicken, he remembered something.
Aiden went into the toilet and opened the Kill Note app. He pressed the message icon. He reopened the one-year contract notice.
With a rush of breath and a sudden burning sensation, he pressed Yes.
"Welcome. You can write down the name of someone you want to ruin the life of."
"Or want to kill him?"
Aiden swallowed, his eyes staring straight ahead. He could not kill Duke quickly. The man had to feel the pain that his mother felt.
Kill Note is an app to fulfill the desire for revenge. There are several tasks to do and costs too. Kill Note's IT team works well so that transactions and data cannot be tracked by the government. They also hacked almost all CCTVs in America to eliminate evidence. This was also the case with the woman Aiden had stabbed. The CCTV was off at several points near the scene. The location feature couldn't be turned off, so they easily tracked Aiden's whereabouts. That's why Aiden received 500 dollars twice. The Kill Note team needed to confirm the data at the hospital that the woman had been stabbed twice in the stomach.Aiden sat on a bed in his new apartment, looking straight at the glass window facing the street. The phone buzzed, a notification appeared in the shape of a pen and then disappeared. It was a command to open an app.At first glance Knote was just a normal note app, but as soon as Aiden placed his fingerprint on the phone screen, the app's appearance changed."Who do you w
Fred was in a coma, he was in a large room where there were several devices around. As a result of the impact, his ribs were broken. And the hospital had to operate on him.The picture moved to the side, now Fred's face was clearly visible, there were several bandages on the face, the right hand was bandaged quite thickly. Aiden began to feel sorry for him, but he also didn't understand what he had done to make Fred hate him so much.Aiden pressed finish on the app, then went back to cleaning the cookware. After his shift ended, Aiden went to the hospital to see Fred one last time. He knew Fred would never regain consciousness. The hospital was quiet at night. Aiden didn't bring anything with him because he couldn't leave any evidence. As he turned the corner, Aiden backed away quickly. He leaned against the wall and peered down the hallway. "We've arrested the perpetrator, and he's currently being questioned," a tall black police officer said.Duke nodded in understanding. "What ab
Jake was a technician who worked for a rich man. He modified cars to make them faster and better. He, like Aiden, was using the Knote app for the first time. That night, he was assigned to install a GPS onto Fred's car. Knote sent him info about Fred. He installed the GPS onto a square piece of metal. Jake unscrewed the bolts and attached an additional small piece of metal under the car. Jake deliberately put the GPS on the side because when the truck hit Fred's car, the GPS was immediately destroyed.Jake was also there when the incident took place. He had to make sure no evidence was left on the road.He walked out of the hospital, passing Aiden and Eri in the lobby and walking in."Hopefully, after meeting you, Fred will wake up," Eri said, as they reached the elevator. Aiden looked over, unsure of how to respond. He didn't want to say that he hated Fred for taking his job or feign sympathy."You know, people who have an inner bond may find it easier to communicate."They reached
"I want to marry Aiden."Duke and Alice were confused. Eri walked into their room and said it right away."Eri, what's wrong?" Alice asked. They were lying on the bed.Duke shouldn't have given the task to Eri. His daughter was very weak when it came to Aiden. He had to think of a way to prevent Eri from getting back with Aiden."We'll talk about it tomorrow, your mom has a headache." Duke tried to make excuses, even though Alice was fine."I won't change my mind." Eri went out of her parents' room."Duke," Alice called, as Duke was lying down massaging his head. The two pillows on his head did not make him comfortable.Morning. Eri was already dressed, she picked up her bag and went downstairs without looking back into the dining room. Alice called out to her. Duke didn't even bother to stop Eri."It's useless," Duke said as Alice continued to stare at him."You should have immediately looked for another man when Eri broke up with Aiden. You know your daughter well, she's very impres
Aiden had just finished putting on his tie and he was startled by the sound of someone knocking on the door. He texted Eri that he would be leaving soon.As he approached the door, he stopped and peered through the glass. There was a rather huge man, wearing a leather jacket and looking left and right.Aiden didn't recognize the man, so he walked backwards. Trying not to make a sound, he waited until they left, but someone broke down the door. Aiden panicked. They had bad intentions. The only way out was through the window. Aiden took a breath and jumped. His new apartment was on the second floor. So, he knew that he would be alright.Someone managed to get into his room and saw Aiden running away.Aiden drove down the road quite fast. There was no way he could get to Eli's house now.His cell phone rang, Eri was calling him at a crucial moment. As soon as Aiden answered the call, a police car was beside him."Stop!"Aiden ended the call and focused on the road. He passed the car smoo
Eri got out of the taxi in a hurry, not even caring if her dress was torn or dirty. She went up to the second floor and opened the apartment door. No one was there."Aiden, Aiden, where are you?" Eri opened the toilet but he wasn't there. She walked towards the window, her breathing became heavy. There was no way Aiden had left her.Eri went to Aiden's workplace. She asked an employee and the man didn't know Aiden."Can I come into the kitchen?" Eri asked. The man was a bit hesitant, especially when he saw Eri's messy appearance. Eri couldn't wait, so she let herself in through a door reserved only for staff. The man turned away from the counter and tried to restrain Eri, who was walking to and fro."Aiden, Aiden, I know you're here." Eri made a scene. Some of the staff managed to grasp her hand. One woman blocked her way. Eri was still looking around, she was sure Aiden must be hiding in this place."You need to leave, or we'll call the police," the female employee said firmly."Aide
Eri came to the hospital to check on Fred. But once she got to the room, Fred wasn't there. The room was empty. She chased after the nurse who was walking in the hallway. "Excuse me, where is the patient who was treated in that room yesterday?""He's back home."Eri didn't know Fred that much, so she didn't know where the man lived, and neither did Duke. Her father asked Eri to just go home because he would find out where Fred was. But Eri was stubborn, she would go to the office and find out for herself. After saving her cell phone, Eri hurried to the bank. She wouldn't go through the entrance in front of the building, she would walk through the parking lot entrance in the basement. Eri didn't know anyone besides Fred and Aiden, but she knew where the office car was parked."Excuse me." Eri tapped on the glass window, she saw someone sleeping in the driver's seat. The window opened slowly to reveal a mature man of about forty or so. It didn't occur to her that the car would be driven
"Eri." Duke looked at his daughter and Zidan, "What are you doing here?"Eri turned to Zidan, shaking her head vaguely in a code for Zidan not to tell Duke. She didn't want Zidan to get trouble while saving herself."I, I was just asking about Fred." Eri tried to act normal."I told you, I'd take care of this." Duke was already standing near Eri. He looked at them, he knew Zidam was quite close to Aiden. "You can go."Eri wanted to talk more about Fred or Aiden, but right now she had to be nice. She didn't want to leave New York before finding Aiden."Now you go home, my driver will take you."Eri nodded and walked towards the car. She got in the car and leaned back, it had been a draining day, but she hadn't found anything. No, she got some good information about Fred and Aiden.Duke got into the elevator, he had to keep an eye on Eri, no matter what she said. He couldn't make the same mistake. He couldn't let his guard down.He got a call. "How is it?""I checked the hospital's CCTV
