Chapter 10

A man walked closer to her, making Starla shiver in fear. She always emphasized in her heart that the man was her husband, but her heart refused. She never loved him.

Starla lowered her head. Looking at Tristan would only make her more afraid. His gaze seemed like he wanted to pounce on her.

The man smiled and reached out, giving a gentle touch to Starla's hair. "You look so beautiful when you're like that, honey." Tristan stopped his hand on Starla's chin, making the woman look at him.

Starla could only squeeze his hand, she dodged a little, but realized that the grip on his chin was too tight.

She could only hold her breath, even opening her mouth to speak, she didn't dare at all. Starla realized that Tristan was getting closer to her. This made her squeeze his hand even harder.

He inhaled Starla's perfume that aroused his passion. He stopped himself in Starla's ear, whispering softly. "Starla, I want it." He held Starla's hand tightly.

Starla's heart was beating fast. She became more nervous. Starla quickly pushed Tristan hard. “Tristan, we can’t do it. I’m menstruating.”

Tristan stared at her sharply. He knew that the woman was deceiving him. He approached and held Starla’s hand tightly. “Are you lying to me?”

“How is that possible, you menstruate repeatedly in one month. This doesn’t make sense!” He shouted, in front of Starla. Even his warm breath, wafted across Starla’s face. “Don’t try to deceive me!”

Starla bit her lip. She was really afraid to give an answer. She never loved Tristan at all, and of course the woman didn’t want to do it with Tristan.

All this time, she had always avoided Tristan. Even though they had been married for several months, Starla always avoided sleeping together. Sometimes, she had to make excuses about menstruation, or even put sleeping pills in Tristan’s drink. Then the man would immediately fall asleep after their hot kiss.

Not only that, sometimes, she would give Tristan a lot of drinks, so the man would get drunk and Starla could avoid him. But this time, it seemed that Tristan no longer believed Starla's lies.

Tristan realized everything. The woman continued to deceive and do many tricks. "You deliberately avoided me, Starla!" The man clenched his fists. Then, he pushed Starla's body hard. One push, made Starla fall on the chair.

This time, Tristan could not stand it anymore. He would not forgive Starla or be fooled by everything she did.

The man quickly lifted the dress worn by Starla, then pulled Starla's panties by force.

"Tristan what are you doing?" Starla tried to defend him, but Tristan ignored her words. He continued to pull the panties.

But now, his eyes were wide open. He threw the panties in any direction. “Damn, so you really menstruate?”

Tristan couldn’t hold back his anger. He stared at his wife’s face sharply. “Can’t you be a useful woman for me?”

“All this time I’ve been holding myself back to wait for you. And you always disappoint me.” Tristan shouted in front of her.

Starla got up from there, this time they looked at each other. “Didn’t I tell you before?”

This time Starla lowered her head. “And before, I also warned you that it would be better if we didn’t get married.” Her voice sounded soft.

Tristan’s body trembled after hearing Starla’s words. It was the same as playing with him.

An angry Tristan slapped the woman’s cheek. “You really are a useless woman. You’re nothing more than a bitch.”

This wasn’t the first time Tristan had raised his hand to hit her, and whatever the man said only made her heart ache.

Starla couldn’t hold back her tears that flowed. Tristan's actions hurt her deeply. Starla cried and left her room.

Starla stopped in the backyard. She cried and mourned her marriage to Tristan. The man could only hurt her. And the only man who could understand her and treat Starla well was Arnold.

Starla felt great pain when she realized that she could not be united with Arnold. And it all happened because her family pressured her to marry Tristan. Even Starla still remembered her promise that she would marry Arnold after Arnold got out of prison.

"Arnold, forgive me." She cried. Lamenting all the memories left in her heart.

In a different place, Arnold was currently looking at his father and mother. He realized that they were old. And Arnold regretted when he could not accompany his parents' difficult times. He had even been in the lenara for too long. And all that because he had to study there.

Arnold stepped closer. When he was with them, Arnold smiled thinly. "Father, mother, come with me."

They looked at each other, until then his mother spoke, "where?"

At this time, Arnold could observe his father and mother's faces closely, and now he could see the wrinkled faces of his tired parents more clearly. He knew that this difficult time had changed their lives for the worse.

This made Arnold worried. Maybe in recent years, they had forgotten about their health.

Arnold exhaled. "Mom, I want to take you to the hospital. You will get treatment there."

His father and mother looked at each other again. Until then, Diana there shook her head. "No, that's not necessary at all."

His father also nodded his head. "Yes, your mother said the right thing. We don't need to go to the hospital. We can just buy medicine at the pharmacy and it will make us better."

Arnold held both of their hands. Looking at them alternately. "Just come with me."

Arnold crouched in front of his father. He looked up and stared at his father. He remembered his life before he ended up in prison. At that time, their life was still very good. "Maybe you have forgotten, but not me."

“When the Hayes family was sick, you would have rushed to the hospital. Even Dad didn’t usually take medicine like that.” Arnold sighed. He felt a pang in his heart.

Adam shook his head. “Dad, I swear, if Dad is fine.”

Arnold seemed to dismiss all of his father’s words. Even though the old man tried to convince him, it didn’t stop Arnold’s desire. He just wanted to make up for the four years when he wasn’t with his parents. “Dad, Mom, I’m here. Let me take care of you.”

Arnold knew that they were only worried about money. Their lives had changed, but Arnold had a lot of money that his parents didn’t know about.

“Dad, Mom, let me take care of you. Don’t worry about anything.” Arnold reassured his parents.

The two of them looked at each other again, he rubbed Arnold’s hand gently, until finally they nodded their heads.
