Chapter 11

At the OZZ company, there is an office labeled "Sales Director."

Inside the office, Ethan Davis is handling the tasks for the sales department. This month, only Bonnie has met the targets, while others have fallen far behind, making Ethan Davis desire Bonnie even more due to her beauty. However, Bonnie has rejected his advances multiple times.

"Bonnie, I know people in the company are pressuring you. Huh, I don't believe you won't come to me to talk. There hasn't been a woman that Ethan Davis couldn't win over!"

Ethan Davis imagines a future where Bonnie admires him, bringing him great joy.

Suddenly, his mobile phone on the desk rings, causing Ethan Davis to furrow his brows. He picks up the phone to check the caller. Seeing the caller ID note displaying "CEO Ella" Ethan Davis startles and immediately answers the call.

Ethan Davis is afraid of Ella.

Ella is strict in her work, and she has criticized over two-thirds of the employees in the company. Ethan Davis is no exception, as he was reprimanded by Ella for harassing a female employee in the company.

The reason Ethan Davis fears Ella so much is that she is protected by a high-ranking executive in the TiKi corporation. Hence, no one at OZZ dares to provoke Ella.

Normally, Ella would make calls to each director in the company every month. However, why would Ella call him in the middle of the month?

"Hello, CEO Ella."

After answering the call, Ethan Davis politely speaks.

"Yes, it's me."

"Do you have a moment?"

"Yes! I've been looking for you! Is there a saleswoman named Bonnie in the Downtown Los Angeles area?"

Ella directly asks Ethan Davis.

Hearing this, Ethan Davis furrows his brows. Why does the CEO want to inquire about a small sales staff member?

Nevertheless, he responds, "Yes, CEO Ella, we do have an employee like that. May I ask why you are looking for her?"

"Let me tell you something. This girl happens to be the current chairman's younger sister at the TiKi corporation. Do you understand what that means? Yes, I've heard that she's been bullied by her colleagues at the Downtown Los Angeles branch where you manage her. Is this true?"

"I'm not quite sure about this matter, CEO Ella. Please rest assured that I will investigate thoroughly and punish those individuals."

Ethan Davis sweats profusely, feeling immense fear. Now that he knows Bonnie's identity, he is terrified and immediately regrets his past misconduct towards her.

On the other end, upon hearing Ethan Davis' voice, Ella becomes slightly suspicious, wondering if this person has offended Bonnie. Considering that this girl is the chairman's younger sister in the TiKi corporation, Ella firmly reminds Ethan Davis:

"I don't need to know what you're thinking, but this girl is the chairman's sister. If you dare to offend her, you will face the consequences from the TiKi corporation."

"No, no, no! I didn't harass Bonnie. Please rest assured, I will treat Bonnie seriously."

When Ethan Davis learned Bonnie's identity, he regretted his past actions and regretted harassing Bonnie. However, he hadn't done anything too extreme before, and perhaps Bonnie didn't have a very negative impression of him.

"There's one more thing! From now on, Bonnie will be in charge of the Downtown Los Angeles area. You will step down from the director position to become the deputy director, and you will provide full support to Bonnie. Do you have any objections to my decision?" Ella asked.

"No, I don't! I will immediately inform Bonnie. Please be reassured!" Ethan Davis sighed and smiled at Ella.

Although he was demoted to deputy director, Ethan Davis didn't feel too disappointed. He knew that Bonnie was the sister of the company's chairman, so he would definitely return to the TiKi Corporation to work in the future. Therefore, the Downtown Los Angeles area would still be under his control.

His immediate task was to find Bonnie and explain everything to her, clearing up the misunderstanding between them. Otherwise, Ethan Davis feared that one day he would be fired from the company.

"I have to find Bonnie quickly to explain!" After saying that, Ethan Davis immediately got up and walked out of the room.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Bonnie arguing with another girl. Ethan Davis recognized the woman arguing with Bonnie as Farah, his girlfriend. It was because of Farah's words that Bonnie had a hard time at work, and now thinking back, he became even angrier.

He walked straight to Farah and, to everyone's surprise, raised his hand and slapped her on the face.

"Who dares to hit me? Ethan, my love? Why would you... hit me?" Farah asked, shocked.

"Farah, go back and write a self-criticism report for me. Do you realize that your conflicts with Bonnie in the company affect the company's image?" Ethan Davis said, then turned to Bonnie with a smile, respectfully saying, "Bonnie, well, now I should address you as Director Bonnie."

Bonnie looked puzzled and asked, "Director Davis, what are you talking about? I'm not a director, you are."

Facing Bonnie's expression, Ethan Davis sighed and realized that perhaps she hadn't received the chairman's instructions yet. No matter, he still had to say this. Now, in front of everyone, he announced it to Bonnie, hoping she would no longer have any misunderstandings.

"Everyone! I have an announcement to make."

The others quickly stood up and looked at Ethan Davis.

After everyone was present, Ethan Davis spoke, "I have just received instructions from CEO Ella. Because of Bonnie's excellent performance, the TiKi Corporation has announced that Bonnie will become the director of the Downtown Los Angeles area."

"From now on, please don't call me director, call me deputy director. Do you all understand?"

"Yes!"

Everyone said in unison.

At this moment, Bonnie stared at Ethan Davis with her mouth wide open. She felt incredibly surprised by this turn of events. She was preparing to quit her job when suddenly she was informed that she would become the director of the Downtown Los Angeles area.

It was unbelievable!

Why did it happen like this?

Oh, right, it must be Maximus!

He had said he would ask his superior at the TiKi Corporation for help, but she never imagined he could secure her a director position and make Ethan Davis willingly accept it!

Unbelievable!

Everyone froze in place, and no one spoke. Ethan Davis's announcement was too shocking.

Farah, frightened, let out a cry and immediately ran to Bonnie, kneeling in front of her and crying.

"Bonnie, everything that happened before is my fault. I am a wicked and shameless person. I also ask for your forgiveness for my foolish behavior in the past and give me a chance to change. I will be a good person and work diligently, never speaking ill of my colleagues."

Farah trembled as she apologized, fear clearly visible on her face.

Losing this job wouldn't affect her much; she could find another one. But if Bonnie sought revenge on her for speaking ill of her, given Bonnie's connections, punishing her would be a simple matter.

"Get up! I hope you will change, or else you will have to leave the company!" Bonnie looked at Farah and said seriously.

"Yes, yes, I will remember this." Farah stood up and bowed, thanking Bonnie.

At this moment, Bonnie needed confirmation. She left the room and made a call to Maximus directly.

Meanwhile, Maximus had just been informed of the completed events by his secretary, Olivia.

"Ring ring ring..."

The sound of the phone rang.

"It seems like everything went well!" Maximus smiled when he saw Bonnie's call.
