"Hey, where are you now?"

Bonnie's voice came through the phone.

"What's up? Is there something wrong, Bonnie?"

Maximus pretended not to know.

"Did you talk to your boss about me? I, I have been appointed as the Business Director of OZZ Company."

"Ha ha, congratulations!"

Maximus laughed and replied.

"I knew it was you! I still can't believe I've become the Business Director of OZZ Company! Do you know that just over two hours ago, my colleagues who used to speak ill of me have changed their attitude? The area manager even served me tea and praised me a lot, making me feel a bit embarrassed."

Pausing for a moment, Bonnie continued, "Furthermore, I got promoted. From today onward, I am the Business Director of Downtown Los Angeles. Ethan Davis, the former director, has been demoted to deputy director, and he has to follow my arrangements!"

"That's fantastic! You're amazing, Maximus! I never thought I could achieve such an accomplishment so easily! It's all thanks to you, so I want to invite you to have a meal, okay?"

"Ha ha, let's do it over the weekend! I'm a bit busy lately!" Maximus pondered for a moment and said.

"Okay, let's meet this weekend then! I need to handle some things here. Just became a director, so if I cause a decline in the company's revenue, everyone will definitely mock me!"

Bonnie felt a bit worried.

"Keep going! I believe in you!" Maximus encouraged her, offering some words of encouragement to boost Bonnie's confidence.

Then Maximus added, "If you encounter any difficulties in the future, tell me. I'll help you solve them. Remember that I still consider you a family member, so don't hide anything from me. Remember that!"

On the other end of the phone, Bonnie laughed happily as she listened to Maximus's words.

Although she didn't know what Maximus had been through during this time, she was certain that he now had a stable job and strong relationships. Maximus had become an outstanding person, and perhaps his work abilities were highly regarded by the leaders at the TiKi Corporation.

At a luxurious restaurant, Maximus and Bonnie sat facing each other.

Bonnie was now dressed in expensive clothes, exuding an air of elegance that made her even more attractive. Maximus couldn't help but exclaim how Bonnie had changed. She used to be just ordinary, but after becoming the Business Director, she had undergone a significant transformation.

If Maximus hadn't known Bonnie since childhood, he might not have recognized the difference.

"Bonnie, you look beautiful! After just a few days, I almost didn't recognize you anymore!"

Maximus opened his mouth to speak.

Bonnie rubbed her eyes with her hand. For the past few days, she had been studying and reviewing the reports that a business director should handle. As a result, she slept very little, partly because she was afraid that the company would encounter difficulties when she took on the position of business director.

"Being a director is great! You don't have to pay attention to anyone, you can do whatever you want, but it's also very exhausting. The workload is greater, and you have to come up with more ideas and development plans."

Bonnie lay on the dining table, sighing to Maximus.

Maximus heard Bonnie's words and laughed, teasing her, "It seems like our Bonnie has made rapid progress. It's only been a few days, and you've already taken on the role of a business director."

Bonnie rolled her eyes at Maximus, pouting in an unhappy tone, "Say whatever you want, but don't underestimate me. I wasn't valued before, and my talents were not fully utilized. Just wait, in a few months, I will show you how capable I am!"

Although she lacked confidence, Bonnie still showed that she was certain she would do well in her current job.

"Maximus, come on, tell me! What have you been through during this time? I can't believe that you can become a man whom many women admire in such a short period of time!"

To be honest, Bonnie was always curious, but due to her busy work schedule, she hadn't had the time to chat. Moreover, they had planned to meet over the weekend, so she chose to ask directly now.

Before coming here, Maximus had already anticipated that Bonnie would ask, so he prepared an answer in advance. Maximus smiled and gently said:

"Actually, things are like this..."

After a while of explanation, along with his persuasive abilities, Bonnie also believed that Maximus was currently the deputy director of the Tiki Corporation. Whether she believed it or not, Bonnie had to trust him because Maximus himself said it, and she had complete faith in him.

Seeing Bonnie's trust in him, Maximus couldn't help but sigh. Bonnie was still the same as when she was young. Whatever he said, she would believe. Perhaps in Bonnie's heart, he was the closest person to her.

"The food is ready! Let's put work aside for now and eat!"

Seeing the server bringing the food, Maximus whispered to Bonnie.

Bonnie looked at the food on the table, with expensive dishes placed in front of her. Even though she was now a business director, she didn't have much money in her account, so she never thought she would ever have the opportunity to eat such expensive food.

Seeing Bonnie in awe, Maximus picked up the food and put it in her bowl, urging her, "Go ahead and eat!"

Only then did Bonnie obediently pick up her chopsticks and start eating.
