Chapter four

"I'll be outside if you need me." my uncle said and left with everything in his hands.

"What's wrong with your uncle?" Tamira asked.

"I have no idea," I replied.

Tamira shrugged. "I have to go now. I'll see you whenever." She said.

"Goodbye," I said and she left the house while I remained inside. My uncle came in seconds after Tamira left.

"Who was your friend there?" Uncle asked.

"By the way you behaved, I'd say you already knew who she was," I said.

Uncle looked around nervously. " are you looking for?" I asked him.

"Me? Nothing. I just need a spot to place these things." Uncle said.

"There is space everywhere. Why search?" I asked.

Uncle put the things aside and sat on a mat. "Never mind that Devon. I think I need some air. Please leave and let me rest a while." Uncle told me.

"Okay. If that's what you want." I said and exited the house.

Uncle Francis was hiding something but what? I have to find out but I also have this Tamira issue to deal with. Just then I saw Jason approaching. That's right, I had forgotten about him.

Jason frowned. "So you decided to hit a ride home and abandon me there?" he complained.

"My apologies but it was necessary for the plan. She had to see where I lived and I doubt she'd walk here with the both of us." I explained.

"You look troubled," Jason said.

"Don't worry about it. It's nothing.

Nothing could ever get passed, Jason. He knew me so well.

"Just tell me about it," Jason said. I decided not to drag things further and just speak up.

I held Jason's arm and took him a distance from my house before finally letting go of his arm. I didn't want my uncle to hear us.

"It's about my uncle," I said to Jason.

"Your uncle? What did your uncle do?" Jason asked.

"Nothing exactly but he acted strangely in front of Tamira Wilson the moment he saw her. I suspect that it's either they know each other or there is something else involving the Wilsons that my uncle knows and is not willing to share with me." I explained to Jason.

"I'm sure it's nothing. He saw a new face in the house and probably just freaked out or something. You know your uncle is aware that you are after getting revenge. He didn't expect you would go as far as bringing a member of the Wilson family into your home." Jason said.

"No. I doubt that. My gut is never wrong. And right now, my gut is telling me that my uncle knows something I don't" I replied Jason.

"If what you said was the case, my uncle wouldn't have asked me to give him some space. You should have seen the way he was shaking and stammering." I told Jason.

"If that is the case then you must be right then." Jason agreed.

"What is going to be your next step? Are you focusing on Tamira or do you want to find out about what your uncle is hiding first?" Jason asked me.

"You know what? I will handle Tamira but I want you to do something for me and do it well." I said.

"What is it?" Jason asked.

"Keep an eye on my uncle. I feel that he will surely want to meet someone. If he was shocked to see Tamira in our house then there must have been some agreement of some kind. You know?" I said.

"Yes. I will watch him carefully." Jason assured me.

"That includes night time Jason," I said.

"That doesn't matter Devon. I am with you all the way." Jason said and placed his hand on my shoulder. I was proud to have such a loyal friend in him.

"When is your next meeting with your to-be wife going to be?" Jason joked and I nudged him with my elbow.

"How sure are you that my plans will succeed?" I asked him.

"When has it ever failed? Just tell me what's your next move?" Jason said.

"It's going to be tonight. Tamira Wilson will be out clubbing with her friends. There is a high chance she will get drunk." I said.

"I thought you said she was a decent girl. How is it that she will get drunk tonight?" Jason asked.

"One, she always goes out clubbing with her girls on Saturdays. Number two, she is highly likely to get herself drunk after an argument with her mother over me. She drinks a lot when she is angry." I said.

Jason looked at me in astonishment. "Wow. You are a master planner Devon," he said.

"I didn't spend all those years studying them for nothing. I was born with the intelligence I needed for this." I replied.

"I can see that," Jason said.

"The area she would go clubbing in is a very dangerous one. Men there prey on drunk ladies and by the time she is done with clubbing, all of her friends go their way. Never mind all this Jason. The main idea is that I will be the one to help her out of trouble and take her home." I said.

"Okay-okay," Jason said.

Tamira POV:

*Later that night*

"Yes girls, tonight is going to be lit!" I said, excitedly into the phone.

Someone knocks on my door. I moved my phone away, "Come in." I said and placed the phone back on my ear.

The door opened, revealing a maid. "Sir and Ma'am are back miss." the maid said.

"Okay," I told the maid and she left.

"See you girls by eight at the club okay?" I told them during the audio call on W******p and hung up.

I got off the bed and left my room. After reaching the bottom of the stairs, I spot my parents. I ran to my dad first and hugged him.

"Welcome back dad. I missed you so much. How was the trip?" I asked him.

"Everything went great my dear," Dad replied.

"Ehem." Mom cleared her throat.

"If you didn't notice, I'm here too," she said and rolled her eyes.

I went to hug her but she didn't hug me back. "After all, I'm the less loved parent," Mom added.

"Don't speak like that honey," Dad told Mom. "Why shouldn't I? It's the truth." Mom said.

"Don't mind her hun. She is just jealous of me." Dad said to me and I laughed.

Dad was about to sit down but mom gestured for him not to. "Hold on," she said.

Mom called for a maid and one came to answer her. "Did you disinfect the sofa as I told you to?" Mom asked.
