Chapter Forty Seven

Emily visited Christian at his place of work. Everywhere was so busy. She looked around for Stanley. He wasn't on his seat. She paused and asked a random person.

“Hey, I don't mean to disturb you, but I'm looking for the owner of this restaurant. Did he perhaps come to work today?” She asked, looking around.

The lady stared at her for a second without uttering a word.

“I'm so sorry, ma'am. He has been absent for three days now. The assistant is not around too because of the errands he has to run on behalf of the owner of the restaurant,” she added.

The lady was able to give Emily a handful of information, even more than she needed.

“Thank you so much,” she added.

She left the restaurant and took a taxi to Christian's house. On her way there, she was literally panicking. She hoped really hard that nothing was wrong with him.

“I really hope everything is great and that nothing was wrong,” she whispered.
