Li Han didn't answer. He only glared at me. His deep eyes telling me to walk away. Even though Li Han was a prince, no one even bothered to help him.

The corner of my mouth arched upwards. "What are you waiting? Help the prince."

The twins, Lu Kai and Lu Yi, my bodyguards immediately seized Li Han's arm.

"What are you doing? Let go of me!"

The novel stated that Li Han has superior martial arts. Looking at him, pretending to struggle, I just want to smack him.

Anyway, as of now, Li Han still need to hide his talent. It wasn't the right time for his protagonist light to shine until a year later.

"Bai Suxin, I don't need your help. Leave me alone!"

People were starting to notice the shameful scene of the fourth prince.

"The dog prince!"

Li Han stared at me. His fierce handsome face greeted me.

"What? One of these days, I will have your leg chopped. I plan to display it infront of the prime minister's manor. So that everyone will enjoy its beauty."

"Bai Suxin!"

I laughed. "Don't misunderstand me, your highness. I really think highly of you. I admired you so much."

"Are you.. mocking me?" His tone got heavier.

"Mocking? No. No. Instead, I'm confessing to you, your highness with all my heart."

He stood up abruptly that the chair fell hard on the floor. "Bai Suxin, I don't care about your bet with Li Cha. You stay away from me."

I'm not even surprise how he'd known about the bet. Rolling my eyes, I replied: "You're no fun, Your Highness. Not fun at all."

Bai Suxin's father, the Left Prime Minister, Bai Muro was summoned to the palace. Father insisted; he wanted me to come along. Perhaps because I was one of the possible crown princess candidates.

"Xin'er, the prime minister manor depends on you. I raised you to be the crown princess. I hope that you won't disappoint me."

I really can't focused to what he's saying.

I'm feeling dizzy because the road was bumpy. I just nodded. 'Damn carriages!'

Satisfied, Bai Muro grinned.

When we entered the palace, father went to meet the emperor and he left me in the princess palace, the Nian Courtyard.

"Ah!" Li Cha grumpily threw her needles and stood up. "This is boring."

The rain didn't stop since four hours ago. That's why we're stuck in her courtyard, embroidering.

Suddenly Eunuch Xu came running towards the princess.

"Your highness, something big is happening."

"What?" Li Cha pouted.

"It's the fourth prince."

"Fourth brother?"

My hands stayed still.

"What happened?!" Li Cha excitedly asked.

"The crown prince is currently punishing the fourth prince. Since four hours ago, the fourth prince is kneeling under the heavy rain in the Rose Garden."

"Really?!" Li Cha widened her eyes in surprise. "Hmp. He deserves it. That must be a good show. Hmp. Crown prince brother didn't even bother to invite me before he started the show. I want to see dog brother kneeling!" Li Cha paused. "Ahg! But I don't want my dress to get wet."

I gracefully put down my needlework beside me. "If you want your highness, I can go and see for myself. Then, I can describe to you what I'll see."

"Oh! That's a good idea. You go, Lady Bai. Then, you have to tell me everything."

I stood up then gently bowed, "Yes, your highness."

I opened my umbrella and crossed the rain. Jin'er followed me behind with Eunuch Xu and my twin bodyguards. Fifteen minutes later, we reached the Rose Garden.

I'm cold. I think the rain won't stop anytime soon however I must work hard and do my role well. I remember in my real world, when I was a newbie, every day was a torture. I was cursing my boss for making me do overtime. So unfair!

There he was, kneeling. Li Han's body was unconsciously trembling and he was also coughing nonstop. I walked towards him.

He glanced up. When Li Han saw me, he frowned.

"What are you doing here? Leave." Then he coughed again.

I stretched my hand, moving my umbrella to his side, protecting him from the rain.

"What are you doing? You'll get wet."

I arched my brows.

"Stop it. Your dress.." Li Han coughed again. "Your shoes." Coughed. "You're going to get sick if you continue to stay here. Leave."

"You are so pitiful, your highness. If you're going to die, you have to die in front of me."

"Just leave."

"Tsk." As I dropped the umbrella into the ground, the rain directly fell into my body. In an instant, my entire self was soaked with rainwater.

"Bai Suxin!"

As he weakly reached the umbrella from the ground, Li Han was obviously struggling to stand. Blue lips, pale face and a shivering body, Li Han covered me under the umbrella.

His eyes didn't hide the hopelessness in them, as if after years of struggle and suffering, he was finally defeated and so.. he wants to surrender.

"Why?"

His lips in thin line, his jaw was angular and sharp and his face was tight.

"Bai Suxin, why are you so cruel?" He whispered.
