The police had already flooded the murder scene when Declan arrived, and as he moved towards the revolving police red and blue lights, he prayed that, by some kind of miracle, his father was still alive.

When he had finished with Samantha and picked up his phone, he saw his father's message first.

Help me! He's trying to kill me.

It sounded odd, and Declan knew that his father had been speaking to Daniel, someone that he had warned him to stay away from, but he would not listen.

He had seen multiple calls from a number that he did not have on his phone, and he dreaded calling it at first.

After some hesitations, he finally dialed, and he was informed that his father had been murdered in cold blood.

He could not believe it, and as he alighted from his flight, the nostalgia overtook him and he wanted to throw up. A tear seeped from his eye.
