Ares froze at the question, not because he didn't have an answer to that, but because he didn't know how to explain, Where would he start, how would he make her understand without sounding like some kind of obsessed creep?

Sara waited patiently for an answer. She could sense his breathing Change and his pulse pick up pace, she knew instantly that he was anxious. It probably was a touchy subject for him and was sorry to pry, but it involved her, so she needed to know.

Ares watched her face, brushing away a stray strand from her face, churning his mind for the best way possible to tell her without completely telling her.

He knew she wasn't ready to hear everything, at least not right now, She would most definitely freak out and ask to go home or ask to be taken to her people, the old gods.
