New Guest

Axel hangs his baseball bat tight, aiming for Leah's head, he has to kill the woman that makes his blood boil.

Leah's eyes bulged, she couldn't dodge anymore. Her body felt weak because of that. However, just as the baseball bat got very close, something rushed in front of it. The baseball bat that was headed for her was cut off.

Clanks!

The baseball bat fell and the expressions of the three schoolchildren were identical, eyes bulging as bodies stiffened.

"I guess you shouldn't fight and want to kill your friends, right?" asked Oliver standing beside Leah, who had fallen to the floor.

Nolan and Axel alerted, and they pulled out their guns. Axel took out the knife hidden behind his body and pointed it at Oliver.

"My advice, keep my weapon. I'm not here with bad intentions."

Oliver saw Dereck busy barricading the way back in. He had explained to Dereck what they had to do, new zombies were arriving again, and this big man for a high school boy was tense and angry.

“You get out of here while I speak properly!” Axel shouted. Oliver exhaled, as a grown man he should know how to deal with talkative teenagers like him.

Oliver jumped fast and punched Axel right in the pit of the stomach, he fell, clutching his stomach.

Oliver crouched down and held the knife held by Axel.

"I told you I'm here to help you guys, but you're so talkative." Oliver glared at him, his dominance immediately made Axel shiver. At that moment, he knew the man in front of him was a monster.

Yes, the best way to silence him is to beat him up and realize who is more robust.

Leah had been watching what was going on. She already suspected that the man in front of her was strong and when she heard Oliver's words that he wanted to save them, she was pleased.

Leah struggled to her feet and staggered, but she finally made her way to Oliver.

"You can help us?" Leah was hopeful. She had suffered so much here, and it was hard to go out alone, she was a wealthy princess and was always spoiled.

Axel indeed said that he could only dress up, but Axel also forgot that he was one of the top students at this school so he could think better.

"Yes," replied Oliver.

**

Nolen walked beside Leah, they walked ahead of Oliver and Dereck.

“If you're wrong, we're all going to die. You should know we're at the world's end, Leah."

Leah looked at Nolan, who looked disheveled.

"I know, and I hope what I'm thinking isn't wrong."

Leah closed her eyes for a second, she was also afraid that later what she thought was wrong.

The door to the room opened, and all 30 of them were there, they looked at Nolan and Leah, behind the two was Axel, whose lips were bleeding.

"What happened?" asked the man with the glasses—Jason.

He suddenly backed away when he saw Oliver enter the classroom, everyone there became very tense. They glared at Leah. She was the one who put them in danger.

"I'm Oliver, I think you guys are short on food right now."

Oliver looked at the corner of the room where a pile of boxes was being guarded and saw almost nothing left of it.

“How about we work together so you can survive?” he asked. He acted as an adult, this statement Oliver did not understand Dereck. His slightly long curly hair seemed to be getting curly because of Oliver's words.

Oliver is a cold person, that's what has happened to Oliver lately. Dereck even suspected that Oliver was a different person. His attitude now was very different from before.

In the past, Oliver was a bit of low self-esteem and avoided conflict. Now he is full of confidence, charisma, and also brave. The craziest thing, according to Dereck, is that Oliver was very firm in throwing away his wife, whom he had loved so much.

“You will only make food for the zombies outside!” Remi, the woman with short hair shouted. She was also not brave and tried to take cover behind Jason.

"It sucks. Why did the system even give this strange quest? I shouldn't just save them and let them die eaten by zombies."

Oliver groaned inside himself, he looked so calm in front of them all.

"If I wanted to do that, I would have thrown you individually from here, right?"

Oliver's eyes glittered, and everyone there gripped their guns tightly.

“Good, at least you guys are still trying to keep your lives.”

"Hey, what's up with you, Oliver?" asked Dereck, whispering in Oliver's ear. His brows furrowed.

Why was he slightly on tiptoe whispering to Oliver?

He remembered that he and Oliver had the same height, 178 cm tall. So, since when did Oliver grow up? Dereck slightly raised his head, maybe he grew 7 cm.

His body also looks better. Dereck knows Oliver trains, he does push-ups and pull-ups and stuff, but his body is growing fast.

"He will help us," Leah spoke, she was just about to walk and Nolan held her hand.

Leah looked at Nolan, asking him to let go of his hand. The man in the blue suit granted Leah's wish.

“We all saw him put up an amazing fight. He can help us to gather food.”

Leah spoke confidently, Oliver watching her. The only one with enough fearsome courage among these schoolboys.

"Leah, you are so stupid! He can take us and kill us or steal our things!”

The others shouted. They were reluctant to face their fear, hiding as cowards good enough to save their lives.

"Just think about it, if you guys don't have any more food what are you going to do?" Oliver looked at them one by one. “Eating your friends? Or eat zombie corpses?”

Their muscles tensed up hearing that, some were biting their lips and some were crying.

"These zombies have low intelligence, as long as you don't make any noise, they won't come."

Disbelief was evident on their faces.

"If they're smart, they'll open the weak barricades you guys put up."

His cold voice succeeded in making them widen their eyes. His words weren't wrong and now they looked at each other to think this through.

“B-but… how can we gather food? We have brought all the food here.” Cindy bit her lip. She wanted to believe this man in front of her could help, but how?

"We're going out, there's a supermarket and we have to bring the contents here." Oliver rubbed the back of his neck, he didn't understand why he was playing a hero like this. It didn't suit him.

However, when he completed quests, he would gain something which would be of great use to him later. If he wanted to live, he would have to obtain many favorable things.

"That's tantamount to suicide!" Jason shouted.

“Then just wait for your death here alone,” Dereck said coldly, he put on a smug face imitating Oliver. When Oliver saw him, he smiled broadly with a raised right thumb.
