In the dimly lit alleyway that connected Leonard's school to his neighborhood, Edgar and his gang of friends lay in wait. "Surprise!" Leonard shuddered as he walked into his house one Friday evening after school. There, standing with a big chocolate cake in her hands was his mother and the girl he loved. Never in his life could he have believed that they were planning something like this for him and seeing the most important people in his life, smiling at him was all he could do not to begin shedding tears of joy. Leonard and Daniel finally arrived at Leonard's house to study for their upcoming exams. The sun had begun to set, casting a warm glow over the neighborhood. The two friends were excited about the prospect of facing their exams with the help of a solid study session. The next day, the entire school gathered in the assembly hall, eagerly awaiting the principal's announcement. Leonard sat down with his mother in the cozy living room, his heart still racing from the day's events at school. He took a deep breath before deciding to share what had happened with her.
