Chapter 11: Another One

The princess and Clarise felt quite troubled right now especially the latter.

She had thought it'll be just another visit like she had done twenty years ago where the sovereign wasn't present.

She couldn't help but throw a glance at the princess before bowing her head, looking at the ground.

Truthfully, these people are kind, she knew that they can just offer the treasures and bring the princess back.

But if news of the sovereign's return echoes throughout the vast land and seas, people will know that the princess returned to her kingdom without being accepted.

Their kingdom's future may be dire, hostile forces would also take this chance to ally the kingdom's friends and turn it against them.

At the same time, the Princess also thought of the same.

Yet, her conclusion immediately arrived.

What will she choose? A bright future for her kingdom at the cost of her happiness? Or a dangerous unknown path for it and her?

The answer was too easy for her.

Although she feels extremely grieved, she put on her best smile and stood up, she gracefully bowed to Shi Yan: "My lord, I am Frey Rin, Princess of the Retce Kingdom."

Hearing this, Clarise felt her heart tightening for not being able to help the princess to shoulder this burdening task. She could hate herself for not being able to take action.

Yana immediately cut in: "My lord accepts your offers, a room shall be provided for you."

But when she was about to say something, both she and Garun smiled once more.

The portal opened not far from the mansion.

Immediately, from the grand hall's door, a knock came: "Guests had arrived."

"Let them in." Yana immediately ordered.

Soon, the doors opened, and a group of ten people arrived. Leading them is a tall woman with purple hair and eyes, as she gazed at Shi Yan, a beautiful smile etched up on her face.

"Fufufu, I have come to fulfill our empire's oath, I am Ariana, princess of the Heaven Sky Empire, I will do my best to win your hand in marriage, I hope you will take care of me." Ariana smiled beautifully as much as she can.

"I hope you won't mind, but I brought my corteges to help me in any of our future endeavors."

She then glanced at Rin and grinned: "Of course, as a candidate for your first wife, I will do my best."

Seeing her grin, Frey Rin also couldn't help but stand up: "Due to certain circumstances, I couldn't bring my cortege with me, I hope I can bring them later on."

Yana smiled at her: "Of course, you guys can."

Ariana chuckled at her: "Rin, do well, I may take you under my wings if you do."

Rin immediately nodded her head: "Yes, I-I will do my best!"

The Retce Kingdom is under the Heaven Sky Empire.

There's a rule, so long as the Empire's representative is present, they'll be the first wife candidate, a kingdom can only challenge being the second or even being a concubine.

Yana chuckled seeing this: "It's about the rules that were made by the Empires I presume?"

Ariana smiled at Yana respectfully: "Yes, It's seriously embarrassing, but for getting a step from others, we'd probably do a lot of things not just prioritizing."

Yana chuckled: "Truth be told, our master probably wouldn't care about such rules, so I wish all of you will keep that in mind, all is fair in every competition of ours."

Ariana saw Yana's face filled with a smile, but behind it is a fierce aura that she couldn't get over.

Remembering how Yana and the others dealt with some troubles in their empire before, she felt shivers crawling down her spine.

"Of course, I will keep that in mind." She replied with a sweat running down her face.

Yana nodded her head: "So long as you guys understand."

She then looked at Shi Yan before nodding her head once more: "All of you, go to your respective chambers for now, if you have any questions, look for me first."

Both Ariana and Rin nodded their head: "Yes."

As soon as they left, Shi Yan looked at them: "The heck is that all about?"

Yana nodded: "Everything is as you've seen, you need to be married to one or more women in this world, it's to have a better source of income."

"Didn't  you read the will of your ancestors will?"

"If you want to inherit his assets, you have to inherit his will as well."

Yana paused for a bit before asking: "Just tell me if you don't want to own everything, you will still receive an allowance that's big enough for any commoners to have in their 100 lives."

Shi Yan pondered for a bit, after thinking about it for a while, that doesn't seem like a bad idea.

"Oh, but we won't help you in any way after that, they did mention about some certain revenge and plans, but yeah, it wouldn't matter to us if you decided to abandon the will." Seeing him had a strange thought, and Yana immediately hammered.

Hearing this, Shi Yan immediately remembered Yenan and that Ao bastard.

Yanan then continued: "Well, truth be told, you can use the money you will receive to destroy that Ao family's company and their friends, but yeah, you'll be back to zero once more."

"Well, there's a chance of failing as well, I suppose."

After she spoke, Yana just smiled while looking at some scrolls.

Shi Yan sighed: "Do I have to pick any of them?"

Yana smiled: "You have to pick many of them, but truth be told, if you pick just one, you'll have a different kind of relation to the other, well, in my opinion, marrying all seven princesses will be the right choice if you want to increase the phase of your plan."

"But if you want to conquer this world, marrying one and destroying the others is a way as well."

"Removing thorns that may block thy road before it grows stronger is better after all."

Yana smiled as she finished her words.

Shi Yan then asked: "Wouldn't it be unfair for them if I do so?"

Yana chuckled: "It's different, master."

"If you have money and power, even if you want to marry everyone in the world, they'd gladly do so."

"Well, you can also choose your wife based on your emotion, whatever you chose, we of course will support you."

Shi Yan pondered for a bit before saying: "Can I pick some other time?"

Yana nodded her head: "Yes, of course you have around five years to think."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "Thank you."

Yana nodded her head: "Of course."

As she spoke, she turned around, a wicked smile formed on her face as she thought of some other plan.
