Stepping out of the kitchen, she stopped in her tracks. On the table sat a plate, crumbs scattered around its edges. She sighed, lifting the plate and carrying it back to the sink. As she passed the dining chairs, a subtle scent caught her attention. Leaning down, she inhaled softly. It was a light perfume, certainly not the strong cologne of a man. Yet the fragrance seemed familiar...

But she had no time for guessing games. Shaking her head, she strode to the front door and pulled it open. The morning sunlight greeted her as she stepped outside and started down the road that led to Ms. Susan's mansion in the distance. Whoever had been here, and left that faint perfume trailing in their wake, would have to remain a mystery for now. She had an appointment to keep.

As she approached the mansion, the tall iron gates swung open with a creak. The gatekeeper peered out from his small guardhouse and offered a nod of recognition.

"Good morning, miss. Back again for your training, I see."
