Chapter 6
Author: Blanco Burn
Xayne hung up straight away. His face looked cold and there was an aura of extreme hostility around him. Then, he got into the jeep that was parked at the door and said in a nonchalant voice, "From today onwards, I am no longer the Supreme Commander of Northern Plains! Listen! Everyone of Dracarium, I want you to be in Shalholm as soon as possible! Quint, Hex, Sefton, Augustin, stay here and guard the hill villa!"

"Supreme Commander, are you really going to resign?"

Ace asked worriedly with a hint of unwillingness inside. Xayne was the strongest and most outstanding hero of his time. Not only was he the icon of all Drakonia, but he was also a monument that would stand in their hearts forever!

"Enough talking. Let's head to the Platinum Palace Hotel now!" Xayne said in a cold voice and his eyes filled with hatred that was soaring through the sky.

'Serena, I'm back!

'I'm never going to let anyone in this world take you away from me or hurt you!'

Ace heard Xayne's order and shouted, "Supreme Commander, I'll serve you for the rest of my life! I'm going to resign from the Dragonbreakers Legion too and be in the service of Dracarium!"

Deuce spoke too, "Supreme Commander, I'll serve you for the rest of my life! I'm going to resign from the Dragonbreakers Legion too and be in the service of Dracarium!"

...

Ace, Deuce, Trey, Quad, Quint, Hex, Sefton, and Augustin resigned together! They would have nothing to do with the Dragonbreakers Legion from that moment onwards and would become the eight strongest Dracarium Warriors who were known throughout the whole world!

Even though Dracarium was related to the Dragonbreakers Legion, it did not belong to any country or any power. It belonged to only Xayne himself.

Xayne looked sideways without speaking. Clearly, he understood what his comrades were thinking. Then, Ace, Deuce, Trey, and Quad got into the jeep too. The driver stomped on the pedal and the jeep sped out with a loud roar! Quint, Hex, Sefton, and Augustin stayed at the hill villa.

On the other side, in the most secretive and important part of Drakonia, the Drakonian Council, the four elders sat at the round table in the most heavily guarded cabinet hall. All of them had a different expression on their faces.

Hammond could not help but sigh as he put his phone down. "Why didn't that stubborn guy let me finish talking?"

"Hammond, did that kid hang up on you?" A short and fat old man who was wearing a pair of golden-rimmed glasses chuckled at Hammond and teased him, "He's always been like that. Just forget it. Gentlemen, what are you planning to do with the three hundred thousand soldiers of the Dragonbreakers Legion now?"

Warren Jent, who was standing in front of a huge golden mural, had a serious look on his square face as he said while putting his hands behind his back, "Chandler Cann will take over the Dragonbreakers Legion for now, and I want all active personnel to stand by! As for Xayne's resignation, we'll put that aside. He's still the King of North and this position will always be available to him whenever he changes his mind!"

"Sigh! The child has had a tough life, and it was so difficult for him to finally come this far in life. We can't watch him make any mistakes. Of course, he's done so much for Drakonia, and we can't let him or the three hundred thousand soldiers of Dragonbreakers Legion down. Pass this down, send my trusted guards to Shalholm right now, and I grant them authority to make any decisions in whatever they encounter there. Remember, their mission is to protect Xayne and the little princess of Drakonia!"

The three other elders immediately looked delighted as they said, "Warren, that's exactly what we've been waiting to hear!"

At that time, in the presidential suite of Shalholm's most famous hotel, Platinum Palace Hotel, several well-dressed men were drinking and talking business. Tristan sat in the middle, and his face looked reddish. He took a sip of his drink as he looked at Serena, who was kneeling on the ground to pour him alcohol.

He stretched his arm out and grabbed Serena's soft wrist. Serena was startled. "Mr. Golding, you..."

"Heh heh! Serena, Stop acting innocent now that you're already here! Come here and drink with me!" Tristan forcefully pulled her, who was wearing a white miniskirt, into his arms.

Serene lost her balance and fell onto Tristan. Then, he put his hand on her face and slid it down her cheek. He leaned against Serena's body and took a deep breath as he said with a perverted and twisted smile, "Hmm! You smell so good!"

Serena was scared, and her body trembled as she was trying to resist.

She pushed Tristan away and stood away timidly. Her eyes were filled with tears and fear as she bowed her head and said, "Mr. Golding, I'm sorry. I've got to go back and take care of my daughter now!"

Serena grabbed her bag and wanted to run outside after saying that, but Tristan grabbed her arm and pulled her back. Then, he raised his hand and gave her a big slap on the face!

"Thump!" Tristan kicked the table over, and the drinks spilled all over the floor. Then, he pointed at Serena and said angrily, "Serena Swift! You took advantage of me, yet you're avoiding me now? Consider yourself lucky that I'm actually interested in you. Don't make me do this the hard way! Let me tell you, if you don't serve me well and make me happy today, you'll never leave this room! "

Tristan bent down and pinched Serena's chin as he spoke and stared at her tear-stained face. Then, he grabbed her hair and yelled, "Serena! Actually, the hospital is full of my people! All I have to do is give the order and your daughter will be dead! You'd better think this through. Are you going to listen to me or not?"

"No, no! Please, Mr. Golding, please leave my daughter out of this. She's only four. I'm begging you." Serena sobbed and begged Tristan for mercy on her knees as tears streamed down her face.

Serena felt utterly helpless and anxious. She desperately hoped that a man would stand in front of her to protect her from everything.

However, a female public relations specialist, Linsey Yard, came to them and helped Serena up. Then, she put on a bright smile and said to Tristan, "Mr. Golding, there's no need to be mad and ruin your mood here. Why don't you chat and drink with the other gentlemen first? I'll talk to her."

Tristan scoffed. Linsey quickly walked Serena out of the private room and went to the toilet.

"Hey, are you okay? Look at you, why would you even disobey Tristan Golding? He's the heir of the Golding family, and we can't afford to upset him." Lindsey gently wiped the wounds on Serena's cheeks and lips with a bottle of antiseptic and cotton swabs. "Mr. Golding is ruthless. How could he do this to you?"

Serena's eyes looked lifeless, and she could not help but cry when she looked at herself in the mirror. Then, she grabbed Lindsey's arm and said, "Lindsey, do you have any way to get me out of here? Coco's still in the hospital and she's not doing very well. I need to go back, now!"

Lindsey's face was full of sympathy and her eyes looked red. She hugged Serena in her arms and lightly patted her back. "Serena, it's not that I don't want to help you, but there's no way I can at all. You know exactly what kind of person Mr. Golding is. You agreed to come here with him, and you can't just leave like that. If you were to leave now, not only would you be in danger, but Coco as well. Listen to me, just obey Mr. Golding, do it for Coco, at least. Didn't you say that she's still in the hospital waiting for..."

"Waaah!" Serena cried out loud and it took her some time to finally calm down.

She looked at her defeated look in the mirror as if she had made her decision. Then, she took her makeup bag out and said, "Lindsey, I got it. But I need you to help me with something."

Lindsey wiped the tears off the edge of her eyes and said, "Go on, I'll get it done for you."

She had known Serena for more than a year, and she understood how tough life was for her, especially when she had to raise a child alone. So, she would always try her best to help Serena with everything.

"Please visit Coco at the hospital for me. If she asks about me, just tell her that I'm busy working, and I'll see her after I'm done." Serena held Lindsey's hand tightly with a pleading look on her face.

"Sure." Lindsey nodded. Then, she watched Serena turn around into the devilish hallway, and walk toward the private room as terrifying as hell.

At that moment, Lindsey could not hold it in anymore as she wiped her tears off. She gritted her teeth and with a stomp of her foot, she ran after Serena to grab her hand and said, "No way! I can't just watch putting yourself in danger without doing anything! I'll get you out of here!"

Serena was shocked. She was dragged several feet away by Lindsey before she suddenly stopped watching and said, "Lindsey, Lindsey!...Thank you, I mean it. However, I've made my choice and I don't want to burden you and your family."

"But that place is like hell! I can't imagine what those people are going to do to you! I can't let you go back in there!" Lindsey was so worried that she started crying.

Serena shook her head and took a deep breath before wiping her tears away. "Maybe my life was meant to be like this."

She succumbed to her fate and accepted the unjust in her life. There was just nothing she could do to resist as a mere woman.

"Serena! What about Coco's dad? Why hasn't he shown up yet? It's been so long, yet he's nowhere to be found! Why isn't he standing up for you? Is he even a man? " Lindsey started panicking and was repelled by the man that Serena kept avoiding talking about, Coco's father, the scumbag who had never shown his face.

Serena smiled and took Lindsey's hand, "Maybe he doesn't even know he has a daughter. It's been five years. He probably doesn't even remember me now."

Then, she wiped the tears off her face and put on a smile. "Lindsey, thank you so much for taking care of me all this while."

Serena turned around after saying that and looked at the closed door of the private room before her eyes. She knew exactly that it was hell behind it, but she had no other choice.

At that moment, Serena shut her eyes. Her beautiful eyebrows and long lashes trembled lightly, and a few droplets of crystal-clear tears rolled down from the corners of her eyes.

"Xayne, did you know that we have a daughter? Her name's Coco. If you've gotten that call and you still remember me, please, come back and see Coco."

"Xayne, I'm sorry for not protecting our daughter well enough."

"Coco, I apologize to you..."

Serena opened her eyes and pushed the door open. Then, she walked right into that hell, a bottomless pit! The men inside were like devils, and all of them had sinister smiles on their faces as they looked at Serena coming inside.

Tristan waved his hand and poured Serena a glass of alcohol. "Serena, you've made up your mind! Come on, you've got to drink one as punishment!"

Serena took the glass and finish the drink in one gulp without saying anything.

"Wow!"

However, Serena pulled out a fruit knife from her bag in the next second and tried to stab Tristan. "I want you to pay for my daughter's life!" She yelled.

Tristan's gaze widened as he immediately moved aside. However, Serena still managed to slice his right arm, and blood gushed out instantly!

"Serena, you're dead!"

Tristan walked up to her and kicked her. Serena was slammed into the huge window as she spat out a mouthful of blood. She stumbled to her feet and there was blood all over her mouth. Then, she saw Tristan, who was raging, taking out his pistol. He aimed it at her and pulled the trigger as he shouted, "Bitch! You're dead!"

Bang!

The gun was fired.

The muzzle flashed with flames, and its bullet spun and a high speed and pierced the air before going right through Serena's torso. Serena started bleeding. Her blood smeared on the white skirt she was wearing, leaving a plum-like stain.

"Crack!"

Serena was shot and the pain forced her to bend behind, shattering the glass and falling out of the window on her back!

At that moment, the shattered glass cut across her cheeks and delicate arm under the illumination of the lights and moon, while reflecting not only Platinum Palace Hotel but also the entire night view around this skyscraper.

'How beautiful.' Serena thought to herself as the world's prettiest and purest smile appeared across her face.

Then, several jeeps zoomed down the road under Platinum Palace Hotel, and their sharp braking sound broke the silence of the serene night.

Xayne was sitting inside. When he looked up, he heard a gunshot from more than ten floors above his head. Then, the window shattered, and a tiny figure fell out of it!

At that moment, Xayne's eyes turned bloodshot, and he was filled with a murderous aura that shook the heavens!

He had been thinking about that figure for five years, and he knew exactly who that was!

Serena Swift!

"No!"

Bang!

With a roar, Xayne burst out of the door. He ran faster than any human could, driven by intense emotions.

Xayne rushed outside and leaped onto the top of several cars. With a sudden burst of power from his feet, he jumped into the car, and his explosive force shattered the sunroofs of the luxury cars beneath him.

When he was in the air, he quickly opened his arm in a flash and caught Serena, who was falling rapidly.

Bang!

Xayne's arms endured the weight of millions of pounds of pressure as he wrapped them around Serena tightly. Then, he landed on the ground with a stomp that crushed the stone slabs under his feet.

Serena looked up; her face covered with blood. Her eyes turned red as soon as she saw Xayne's face and tears burst out like a broken dam.

'It's him! It's him! He's finally back!'

'Xayne Xavier!'

When Serena looked at Xayne with tears in her eyes, he too gazed back with his red eye in his arms! They just stared at each other like for a very, very long time...

"Serena, I'm sorry for being late." Xayne's lips trembled and finally said what had been buried deep in heart for five years.
