Chapter 12
“Oh, Mr. Walls! You’re here!”

No one was happier than Henry about Mr. Walls’s arrival.

After all, Mr. Walls was acknowledged by all as the best there was in Sea City’s medical field. He was someone even the country’s higher-ups took note of.

‘The Cadmans questioned Fred, right?

‘Let’s see what they can say now that Mr. Walls is here, then!’

Having thought so, Henry quickly introduced Mr. Walls to Fred, “Mr. Hoffman, this here is Mr. Walls, the leader of our team of consultants. Mr. Walls…”

“You’re still keeping this up?”

Before Henry could finish introducing the two, Valerie’s mother Karen interrupted mockingly, “First, you come in here with a fake management officer, and now you’ve brought in a fake director? I’ve truly underestimated you, Fred. Who would have thought that you’d spend so much money just to act like you’re some powerful bigshot in front of us?”

With that, Karen made a beeline for the director of The First Hospital, Mr. Walls, and harrumphed contemptuously. “You said you’re Mr. Walls, from The First Hospital? Prove it.”

“Prove it?”

Mr. Walls suddenly frowned. “I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean.”

“Don’t understand? Now, you’re just acting dumb.”

Karen scoffed and turned to Yousef. “You’re a knowledgeable man, Mr. Hanks. Would you say they’re telling the truth?”

“The truth cannot be falsified, but what is fake cannot be made true either.”

Yousef chuckled coldly. “I believe Mr. Ziegler from City North Center Hospital will be here soon. I’m sure he will be able to recognize them if they are truly who they claim to be!”

Everyone began to laugh.

Yousef made it very clear that he believed Henry, Mr. Walls, and the other consultants on the team were employed actors.

After all, all of them have heard of Mr. Walls. The man was the best there was within Sea City’s medical field, and he would often oversee the treatment of extremely powerful people in the country.

No one believed that a wimp like Fred was capable of inviting someone of such a high caliber.

As such, everyone took a step back and waited for Mr. Ziegler to arrive. By then, Fred’s lie would be exposed and he would be made into a fool.

Speak of the devil.

Soon, the room doors opened again.

This time, a man in his fifties wearing a lab coat walked in with a smile. “Mr. Hanks! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to our hospital? I was in a meeting just now and I almost missed your call!”

“Haha! You truly are a busy man, Mr. Ziegler!”

Yousef immediately introduced this man to Valerie and Karen. “Valerie, Mrs. Cadman, this is Mr. Ziegler, City North Center Hospital’s director! Mr. Ziegler is an exceptional doctor, but he rarely receives patients these days!”

Yousef’s implications were clear.

Even for someone like Yousef, it was no easy feat requesting Mr. Ziegler’s expertise.

Valerie immediately thanked him. “I will never forget your kindness today, Mr. Hanks!”

Beside her, Karen supplied, “I knew you were a man of your word, Mr. Hanks. It looks like my daughter has finally found someone worthy!”

She made sure to glance at Fred while she spoke. “Unlike some trash we know that’s still acting like he’s influential when he obviously isn’t! People like that make me nauseated!”

“Haha! I almost forgot had you not reminded me, Mrs. Cadman!”

Yousef smiled proudly. “Let me introduce you all. This here is Mr. Ziegler, who also happens to be a student of Mr. Walls, the best doctor in Sea City's medical field! I’m sure he will know whether you are fake or not!”

Yousef made sure to look at Fred while he spoke. Strangely enough, Fred did not say a single word the entire time. The man had been staring at the clock the entire time and after a short while, he sighed. “Soon.”

‘Soon’

‘Soon what?’

‘When his lie will be exposed?

Fred’s reaction only ascertained to everyone else that he was bluffing. They all believed that Mr. Hanks, Mr. Walls, and everyone else was paid to act!

“Well, aren’t you self-aware!”

Yousef scoffed and turned to Mr. Ziegler who was standing beside him. “Mr. Ziegler, I know this is ridiculous, but this man, Fred, is notoriously known as the good-for-nothing wimp of the Cadman family. Moments ago, he even claimed that he invited Mr. Walls, the best doctor in Sea City’s medical field here. Isn’t that so funny…”

“Sir?”

Before Yousef could finish speaking, Mr. Ziegler’s greeting stunned everyone in the room.

Yousef quickly asked, “Mr. Ziegler, w-what did you just say?”

“That’s my teacher, Mr. Walls!”

Mr. Ziegler was clearly unaware of what was happening, but he walked over to Mr. Walls immediately and began introducing his teacher with pride. “Mr. Hanks, let me introduce you to my teacher, Mr. Walls! Also the director of Sea City’s The First Hospital, and widely known as the Imperial Physician of Our Times!”

With that, Mr. Ziegler turned to ask Hunter, “What are you doing here, Sir?”

“I’m not the only one here!” Hunter replied, voice void of emotion.

The intelligent old man had already managed to straighten out what was going on after watching the Cadmans and Yousef mock Fred cynically.

Hunter may not know who Fred was, but the fact that Henry asked him to come over gave him an overall idea.

This young man might seem plain, but Hunter knew there was more than what met the eye. So, he was more than willing to help Fred out now.

Then, Hunter pointed to the other consultants in the team and introduced them. “This is Finn Lewis, City Center Hospital’s director. This is Shane Xanders, director of The People’s Hospital. This is…”

The Cadmans were already frozen in shock when Mr. Ziegler greeted Mr. Walls, the Imperial Physician of Our Times. Now, as Mr. Walls introduced the rest of the medical consultants, the Cadmans were truly stricken. They were all too shocked to react.

One did not have to know the medical field’s latest updates to know of these people, as their names could be seen anywhere on television and in newspapers.

Each of them was renowned within Sea City’s medical field!

The Cadmans could only dream about inviting people of such high status!

Most importantly, if Mr. Walls and the other consultants were legitimate, then Henry—who they had just mocked and called a liar—must also be who he claimed! An officer from Sea City Health Center’s management office!

‘Oh, my God!’

The Cadmans in the room felt lightheaded, especially those who had made their displeasure known the loudest. Karen’s legs began to shake uncontrollably as well.

Even Yousef’s complexion flushed, then he turned pale in embarrassment!

He thought he could take this opportunity to mock Fred, but the tables have been turned.

‘How?

‘How does Sea City’s renown good-for-nothing suddenly gain the influence to invite such powerful people?’

“We’re out of time, Great One!”

Just as Yousef howled internally at how unfair things were, a middle-aged man barged into the room and spoke to Fred.

“Indeed. Time is up.”

Fred nodded slightly, then turned to Henry and Mr. Walls. “Mr. Walls, Mr. Sage, I’ll leave my father-in-law in your hands.”

Then he turned to leave.

Watching him leave, Karen showed no gratitude for the fact that Fred had just invited doctors like Mr. Walls to treat her husband Eric. Instead, she scoffed disdainfully, “Stop acting already. You might have done well this time, but you’re still a wimp in our eyes! And who’s that man, huh? How can you just walk into someone’s hospital room?”

Karen looked at her daughter beside her as she spoke, only to realize that both of Valerie’s hands were over her mouth and her complexion was pale.

“Valerie? What’s wrong, Valerie?” Karen quickly asked.

The Cadmans turned to look when they heard Karen exclaim.

All of them saw Valerie’s eyes widen in shock. A short moment later, she finally replied, albeit with difficulty.

“That man… That’s… Stellar Walker, President of the Fantastic Group!”
