Zachary Hougthon : The Invincible God Of War

Chapter 1

Over the southern sea of the Yanta region. In the sea of Yanta, the aircraft carrier called Atlantis is sailing, where the most elite troops were stationed, a man in beach shorts was relaxing while lying on a chair.

The cell phone in his pants pocket vibrating. He picked up the phone.

He received the phone call and he said. “Hermes, what’s up? Is there anything urgent that you my vacation time.” He took another sip of his drink. "I mean Pacific and training the soldiers."

The man on the other end of the line stared with straight eyes. "Zeus, I've found her!"

"The woman is still alive, and I have obtained information about her. She is Naura Harvey from the Harvey family." The voice came back, making the general grip his cell phone tighter. "But... " The man's voice trailed off, making Zeus frown as he waited for the next answer.

"But what?" Zeus asked in a firm voice. He no longer had the patience to wait for him. 

The sound of breathing could be heard over the phone. "That woman named Naura received ninety-eight percent burns all over her body." The man replied.

The man named Zachary Houghton's heart stopped beating for a moment. Before this, he had been happy to hear about the news that the woman was still alive. But after hearing her condition, Zachary's face became grim. The woman who had saved him from a car explosion 10 years ago, if she hadn't saved him, then he would have died. 

One day, when he woke up, he found that he was in a military area. Within ten years, he became the supreme commander of the foreign war and the only Seven Star Marshal of Honor in his country, organizing the Pantheon. Courage, as well as great determination, made Zachary, who had just turned twenty-four years old, earn the title of General. Afterwards, Zachary remembered a foreign girl who saved him without caring about his own life. Zachary wanted to go back to find the girl and would repay her for what she had done.

"Zeus, I also received news that the Harvey family is looking for a son-in-law to marry off to Miss Naura." Hermes spoke again after a while, much to Zachary's surprise. 

He squeezed his phone hard again. 

Zachary's eyes became sharp, staring at the open sea in front of him. "Give me the personal data about that woman quickly."

"I will send it immediately, Zeus." For a moment, he was silent. Then she spoke again. "Zeus, I have sent you the complete personal data on that woman."

Zachary was still staring intently ahead. He was reminded of his original goal when he would return to his hometown later. His hands were clenched into tight fists.

A few seconds of silence followed. "I want some men to go to the city, and you find out who killed the Houghton family."

With a cold face and mixed feelings, Zachary put his cell phone in his pocket. He looked up at the fighter jet that was waiting for him while some of the other troops immediately gave Zachary a warm welcome. After Zachary passed them and boarded the fighter jet, everyone who was there raised their hands, saluting him. A man who could do the impossible, defeating thousands of enemies single-handedly. A loud whistle sounded.

The Harvey family villa, located in the centre of Eklinas, was bustling.

"You have come here to propose to my granddaughter. The one who marries my granddaughter will receive gifts and supports from the Harvey family!" Jhonny Harvey, the head of the Harvey family, spoke in a loud voice. The three men in front of him looked excited.

Some of the Harveys held back their laughter as they watched the three men who had come to propose. "They are in for a wonderful surprise." Mrs. Harvey chuckled.

Inside the room, a woman whose body was covered with bandages looked down. "I don't want to hear your words. You have to get married." Melani looked at Naura. The bandaged woman looked at her mother with glazed eyes.

"Mom .. I don't want to marry a man I don't love." Naura's voice trembled.

"This is your grandfather's decision. And you may not be married forever because of your monster-like condition." Melani raised the corner of her right lip. Seeing her daugther in this state was humiliating.

Naura squeezed her hands. She couldn't help but feel inferior. A young woman walked into the room. She folded her hands together.

"Hey, monster, your princes have arrived. You should meet him, right? And show your famous beauty like a monster from the worst nightmare." The woman chuckled. She clucked a few times.

Instead of protecting Naura, Melani pushed her daughter's body. "Hurry up. You don't have to trouble me. Your grandfather will get even angrier if you're late."

Naura was forced to stand up and walk with difficulty. Her body ached, but if she didn't obey her family, she would be cursed even more.

When she entered the hall, the guests were shocked. They looked at Naura with disgust while averting their eyes and wagging.

"That's the one who wants to marry us? This is a joke, right? How can that ugly monster want to get married to us?" One of the suitors babbled. He refused to massage Naura further.

Naura's heart felt so painful she could hardly breathe hearing their insulting words.

"I knew it. She's a disgrace to the Harvey family. It's a shame to have a monster in this house." Her female cousin spoke in a big voice. She did that on purpose, and Melani squeezed her hand.

"I have no interest in this marriage." One of the suitors spoke again, and it made Jhonny harden his jaw.

His desire to immediately dispose of Naura was difficult to realize.

The atmosphere became tense. Suddenly, the door opened, and a handsome, well-built man walked in. Before anyone could speak, he spoke first. "I am willing to marry Naura."

Everyone who looked at him was stunned. They were surprised by that but made Jhonny relieved. At least there was a man who wanted to marry Naura.

The man in front of him wasn't bad either, and that way, the problem of Harvey's family having a disgrace-Naura, was over.

"Well, I'll make an announcement about who will be my granddaughter's husband. He is Zachary." 

Jhonny made an announcement that made the other two men look at Jhonny with displeased faces. They even left in anger. It was only Zachary who was sitting quietly, looking at Jhonny's face with seriousness. But even so, the entire Harvey family looked at Zachary with one eye. 

"What a shameful man. He must have wanted to marry Naura because of the money grandfather offered. This is so unfair to us." One of Naura's cousins said that in a voice loud enough for Zachary and Naura to hear.

Naura's tears fell immediately. She had been holding back her tears. It should be a happy thing in her life when her family chooses a young man to be her husband. 

"Zachary, the wedding will take place fifteen days later. We will prepare for the wedding." Jhonny told him again. But at this time, Zachary only focused on looking at Naura's face, which looked sad. 

Naura again wiped her tears that soaked the bandages she wrapped around her face. The announcement that her grandfather had just made her heart beat strongly. Even her heart has died at this time. The news of the marriage did not make her feel happy at all. But she felt sad for herself after she realized that her life had ended ten years ago when she bravely jumped into the flames that were engulfing a luxury car.

Naura's cousin - Leo, who was the eldest grandson of the Harvey family, stood up immediately. He tilted his lips and looked at Zachary's handsome face with a bitter smile. He walked over to Zachary and stood right in front of Zachary. "Congratulations to you, who will soon get the treasure and also the demon woman." Without hesitation and without feeling guilty, Leo gave an insult.  

While Zachary looked at Naura, the woman was only able to look down with a few tears falling from her eyes. Zachary's hand gripped the side of the sofa tightly.

After everyone left the hall, Zachary stood up from his seat. He walked towards Naura. But his steps stopped when he saw Naura's wet bandage. The woman had been crying silently. 

Zachary reached out his hand, and he touched Naura, which instantly made the woman look up. But there, Naura looked at Zachary's face with hatred. 

But suddenly, Zachary moved his hand to wipe Naura's wet eyes. This made Naura very surprised. Zachary spoke, "forget all the insults they have given. After this I promise to always take care of you." Zachary assured Naura.

The woman was speechless. Everything Zachary said could not make her heart melt at all.

"We're leaving." Zachary made a sound that made the woman pause. 

Zachary, again, reached out his hand. This time, he held Naura's hand and brought her up. There was no choice until Naura finally complied. 

With unsteady steps, Naura followed Zachary's steps beside her. But she was very surprised when Zachary took her to the west side of the Villa. And there, there was someone dressed in black who was waiting for them. Naura looked at Zachary with a twinkle in her eye.

"Where are you taking me?" Naura asked with a little fear. Her life had suffered all this time. 

But before Naura got an answer. A man in a black suit walked up to Zachary. The man stood up straight without saluting. "Sir, everything is ready."

Hearing the man speak to Zachary politely. Naura realized that maybe this man considered her future husband to be in a high position. Didn't everyone who came to propose to her just want the Harvey family's property? 

"What place? Where are you taking me?" Naura couldn't hide her fear.

Zachary smiled gently. "Don't be afraid, as promised I will take care of you. And I will take you and treat all your wounds." 

Hermes immediately took them to the manor prepared by Zachary's order.
