Kiel walked into the cafe and he saw Roslyn seated at the far end, she had a scarf over her head and a dark shade to hide her face. she was a public figure after all and not everyone was opportuned to see her as they pleased and what more, she wasn’t supposed to be seen in the public with her ex husband.Heaving a sigh, Kiel pulled out the chair and sat opposite her thereby covering her from the people around.His mind drifted off of the first date they had and it was in this same cafe. “I am sorry, you can not see Mrs Campbell” the guards by the gate tried to stop him. They didn’t quite look familiar and Kiel was a bit disturbed. These were not the guards that were usually stationed at the gate. When were they all replaced?He heaved a sigh and raked his hand through his hair, he was sweating profusely under the hot sun and these people didn’t realize he had to go inside to take a shower.“I am sure you are new here, aren’t you?” He asked them, “you must not know who I am”“Of course we know you” one of them answered, “Mr Kiel”His forehead creased into a slight frown. As soon as Kiel ventured into the hotel room, his phone beeped with a message but he didn’t bother to check it yet. He was too tired to tend to the phone at the moment, a shower and some rest would help but what Gladys said wound its way into his head again. Maybe there was a mistake somewhere, he didn’t even want to think about it, she must be very busy and that’s why it was difficult to talk to his wife.With that at the back of his head, Kiel grabbed a neat towel from the stand and plodded into the bathroom to have a nice shower. Standing under the sun for a while, his body was already reacting to it.After a few minutes, he walked back out from the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist and this was when he met his mobile phone ringing nonstop.Heaving a sigh, he picked it up and realized it was his wife. The moment Kiel stepped out of the Campbell mansion, he lowered himself on one of the road railing and buried his head in his palms. He was finding it hard to even understand what had happened. He was away for six months and his wife gave birth? Did it mean she was pregnant before he left? But how come he didn’t know? Ishika had her phone in her hand as she made her way down the stairs, her forehead was creased into a frown and she looked angry.She has been calling her grandfather but he had blatantly refused to answer his call and even switched off his phone at a certain point. The thought of it annoyed her the most and she had just finished speaking with his assistant who assured her he was on his way to look for him.Her grandfather always does this, he would leave the house without telling anyone and come back late. Kiel didn’t even know what to say as he kept staring at the old man and his granddaughter.
