Chapter 41 - Unease
‘He looks normal. Not the power type that forces through with strength, with that being said I can’t underestimate my opponent’s power from a glance. Since he came in with some level of confidence, he probably has something under his sleeve.’ As a referee on site, Cai stood in between the challengers, Inoyva and Xiluva. While firmly holding both their hands in position at the very center of two desks, she made sure they had a fair start. Inoyva had noted an average looking classmate as his opponent. Still, to his nature, he proceeded with the utmost caution. Cai drew breathe and would separate her lips, releasing an articulate voice. “Ready… Go!” With a bombastic shout, it was underway in haste. Immediately, as Cai swiftly removed her grip from the lad’s hands clenched together, the two opponents’ grip strength increased. ‘Let’s go!!! What the…’ At first, Xiluva burst out with power from his arm but suddenly realized despite putting enough strength to bring down a building into h

Inoyva was caught by surprise as he was not supposed. What gave him unwarranted emotions was her expression which had changed, as Cai stood with her hands behind her back. “That’s because money can’t betray you.” And a gentle wind would gently wave through, finally blowing at her hair. Cai was radiating a smile. Inoyva noticed. Even for people well acquainted with the maiden, they would have thoughts of her happiness flowing through the smile. However Inoyva drew an expression of concern instead as if she was hiding something behind the smile. *** Unwary, a dream-like haze filled everywhere. “Hmmm… Milking cows looks so weird. I’m never going to drink milk if that’s where it comes from.” “Really…?” “Really, really!” A scene filled with haze from its edges. There sitting on a wooden stool, a tall man outstretched his arms under a white and black cow, for he was in a mental state of focusing on his work. His face though became obscured by darkness and only his body from the ne

Chapter 43 - Only For a Second
The patches of grass and other vegetation near the dormitory buildings wavered gently with slight gusts of wind blowing them. The residents living on and in the ground close to the grass, the insects scurried about their day and proceeded to move as the sun reached up into the sky. So to where the individuals leaving on that ground beginning to awake from their slumber to start the day along with planned events. Class 12-C, dormitory building. Just as planned as before, unlike other days were hellish training was the first thing that they did almost at the break of dawn, Class 12-C would head to the City of Grubsennahoj for an impromptu trip to observe how Knights operate at populated sites. Knights primarily hunt Abyss in unpopulated areas as in the wilderness where they are disadvantageous in terms of unknown landscape and the weather can have an impact, also. Meanwhile, for lower class Knights who are not at the firing line for majority of the time, they rather work in cities, t

Chapter 44 - Only For a Second -2-
Inoyva shifting his gaze following Cai's movements. Concluding and finalizing her seat, Cai sat down. Calmly, she gestured her body to a comfortable position. But, still seemed uncomfortable. "Are you alright…?" "No." "Is it that?" "Yeah." Cai's face developed beads of sweat, something was amiss. Quickly, Inoyva pulled out a plastic bag out of his backpack. It gave a whipping sound, when opened. For others gazing around or listening to constant voices exchanging sentences and words to form conversation, it was quite normal. Normal, indeed. What little did they know. Inoyva activated his Amadioha to cloak his image and Cai's. He did so probably due to that Cai was hurling in a plastic bag. A old classic! Getting a stomach ache whilst riding in a motor vehicle was an unpleasant event for most people. Caused by a miscommunication of the eyes and the sensation of moving. Looking outside was a sure fire way to remove possibilities of this happening. Since if a stationary object o

The timing could not be perfect… Anyway, what I’m even doing? Was I seriously… Realization loomed in Inoyva’s glance, for each passing second he found it undeniably uncomfortable and weird. He realized that he had pushed down Cai to her back and proceeded to move closer to her in that position. Something was ignited in him previously. Whatever it was, it nevertheless prompted his body to exact the actions and motion of his will, unlike other times where his thoughts barred such carnal instincts, Inoyva was awe struck about his actions. Those logical thoughts and hesitant moments were the thing that halted Inoyva from advancing forwards in previous instances, but it was so say he could have done the same even now Inoyva but he acted subconsciously and pushed down Cai. Inoyva already initiated the staggering feat, he could no longer move back and apologize to Cai, saying he did so accidentally, that was a thought at the back of the mind since that was the perfect chance to do somethi

Chapter 46 - Waiting For -2-
In Alka’s case, a white hound with blue eyes and the black center of it imitating a reptile’s, it lifted the giant, furry tail from its back to the air. Surprisingly, Alka’s tail split into other smaller tails as if it was natural. Quickly, Alka’s tail flapped in the wind and immediately straightened out. As expected, Cai was obviously wonder-struck. There still became no room to waste time this late in the game. Henceforth, Inoyva mounted atop Alka’s back like normal. “Let’s go.” Snapping back into reality, Cai caught a pleasant sight. Inoyva previously approached first and mounted his Summon. It was understandable since he previously became accustomed to seeing Alka release its tails for use. She was not. What flashed in Cai’s sight was a hand gently held out to her from Inoyva and her heartbeat quickened, but she could only hear what was to her utmost attention. Cai began to walk slowly towards Inoyva, aiming for the drawn out hand. She did not hesitate from that point, touchin

Chapter 47 - A Pending Hell
“The Abyss are coming!” The paved earth casually walked on, shook and rumbled as though numerous earthquakes embodied by massive creatures which advanced further, sought out prey to gnaw at. An earlier explosion which broke the silence all around caused corpses to already pile up still before the marching. But, in a turn of events, the cause of terrifying explosion and start of an invasion, the 6 giant Abyss, who despite wreaking havoc and destruction in their mighty forms, still did not move an inch from prior positions, standing there as if they were statues. Unusual as it was, they immediately released “steam” out of their mouth and their bodies began fragmenting. With a hurl of wind, within a second’s notice, they turned into nothingness as if they were not there in the first place. *** From the near ground level, on the streets of the city, the light from the sun finally passed through after being barred by the previous 6 giant Abyss, to reveal traces of blood spread out alre

Chapter 48 - A Pending Hell -2-
A highway connected Airoterp to Grubsennahoj, however there were other ways that connected Grubsennahoj to other places. Amidst panic, the highway was crowded with motor vehicles and other citizens walking on foot. It was a sudden event for unprepared citizens. As such, in a span of 20 minutes after an initial explosion, a flood of motor vehicles laid everywhere. Considering how the sheer number of metallic boxes amounted to, walking by foot was preferable, although it would give much needed mobility, outside was more dangerous, too. Ms. Relka chose decisions that could widen odds of survival. Looking beside her, she finally realized something important after gazing at Cai and Inoyva’s clones. “Hey, are your originals here?!” Cai and Inoyva’s clones appeared to fidget slightly as if they were malfunctioning. “Ye… Yes.” “Ah, yeah!” Both answered with a stutter. “However way possible, get out of the city as quickly as possible!” *** Flying adrift, Alka defied gravity. Swirling

After devouring prey, the burrowing Abyss did what it did best, burrowing back into the ground and disappeared. If only he was step further, he could have stopped that from happening, is a thought that would eventually float around his head ceaselessly and torment him indefinitely. Inoyva took note of his condition, the situation he put himself and Cai in, as well as the surroundings that gave an advantage to his enemies with a few glances. After all, the gaze he was so boastful about could let him have an edge in terms of information, but unfortunately his mind was clouded. Unlike in other combat experiences where he opted to formulate the best plan to move forward, this time around, his logic was overshadowed by a sense of urgency. The reason for him to be a candidate, in order to be a powerful Knight at the end, he placed an unwarranted responsible on his shoulders and fought as if tunnel vision hampered him. The most logical thing he could have done was proceed back to city or

Chapter 50 - A Pending Hell -4-
What the hell?! Can it reach up here…? Inoyva’s sense of hearing caught something peculiar and almost akin to that of a rhino. Perhaps such a skill was just heightened thanks to the rushing sensation of impending death. From a high building, a sudden fast sound could be heard. His eyes could not keep with it. Inoyva perceived small craters being formed around as if something heavy stepped on and then disappeared. It’s something that’s really… fast? After careful speculation, whatever attacked could not be seen. Invisibility was one alternative to look at, as it lay evidence of that. But the quickness of its strikes was alarmingly fast, faster than he had ever experienced. When Inoyva’s eyes widened a bit, he immediately conjured that this thing was faster than the rate at which he could catch its movements. Proceeding to move with logical actions, Inoyva floated a distance high into the air. There was no foothold in the sky, so he would be secure, but… Even though that was the
