Chapter Twenty six Marco spent some time getting to know his grandfather before he took him further into the house, at the living room was the whole family waiting for his arrival and introduction. “Your father was my only son, but I also adopted a few,” he spoke out in a warm voice, “Here is my first ever adopted daughter, and beside her is her husband. They’re finally expecting their first child, she’s four months pregnant.” Marco halted in front of the woman. His placid gaze colliding with her shady one, she curved a little smirk. “Welcome to the family, Marco.” She mouthed audibly, lowering her gaze as a different aura settled around her. Marco smiled at her, ignoring her greeting and shifting right to those standing next to her. It was a girl, around his age or a little older. “I’m Marie, who I am is complicated. But welcome, I’m glad you’re back and alive.” She also smiled, and through her voice, Marco deduced she wasn’t being fake and was actually sincere with her welcome.
