New Mayor
A chill ran down Tran spine. "You… want to marry my daughter?"Moses smile was now sharper. "Not me, Tran," he reached out and patted the back of a member of the Doberman clan. "He is. His name is John. He turned 23 years old earlier this year."Tran studied John. John was a handsome young man no doubt, with powerful intelligent eyes. Moses carried on proudly. "John is a respectable member of the Doberman clan. At his age, he's a deputy director at the umbrella international bank. You can never have anyone as qualified for a Son-in-law as him."Tran turned to Moses. "What do you hope to gain from this?"Moses grinned. "It’s a fair trade, Mayor. You get to keep your city, your legacy. And Kensington gets a future."Tran clenched his fist. This man, he decided was a smart dangerous person. * * * *Moses and the Doberman clansmen were ushered into the airy sitting room of the Kensington family. The plane crash
Moses woke up feeling light headed. Glancing around him, he found himself in what seemed like a wilderness, surrounded by thick underbrush and towering trees. For a moment, he stared around this habitat, confused. "Wait a minute, where the hell I'm I? How the hell did I end up here?" He asked himself. Moses tried to piece together the last thing he remembered, but his mind was blank.Even his own identity was lost to him, like a distant memory he couldn’t quite reach. Suddenly, Moses panicked. Could he have lost his memory? There's no way. He couldn't remember anything. Struggling to his feet, Moses realized he was in the middle of a private plane wreckage. The remains of the plane lay in a twisted wreck behind him, metal shards and pieces of luggage scattered all over the place. His heart racing, Moses stumbled over to it, his vision swimming and the pounding in his head intensifying. Blood trickled from a gash just above his right eyebrow, but it seemed to be the only injur

The Saint House
Moses learnt two things. He was in an isolated city called GreenFalls, a tropical large city with a complicated climate structure. However, GreenFalls was a big metropolitan city filled with a population of over 5 million people. In GreenFalls, there was no government. The ruling system was by what house was the most powerful. A house consist of members of a family group. There were three powerful houses: The Iron House, The Unicron House and The Saint House. Sitting at the top of the ruling house was the Iron House. According to Sandra, she was the member of the Saint House. Moses learnt she was a widow, living with her only son at a shack. "It's not much but my son and I manage just fine," She said. Moses felt bad. "But if you are a member of the Saint House, of course you should be given better treatment."Sandra smiled painfully as she swerved the truck round a bend. "It's not that simple," She said. "My husband was contesting to be head of the Saint House. His other br

Memories
Sandra exhaled shakily, turning to Moses. “I’m… I’m so sorry you had to see that. She’s always like this.”Moses shook his head, his expression softening. “You don’t have to apologize, Sandra. You deserve better than this.”Sandra smiled, but it was forced. “Thank you, Moses. But I’m afraid you can't stay here anymore. You don't know how powerful the Saint House is like. If you cause any further trouble, they might kill you.”Moses wanted to help this woman. He felt a strong urge to destroy anyone who hurt her and give her the justice which she deserves. If only he could find a way to do that. Sandra hurriedly pulled out some Changes in her pocket. "It's all I have left for now. I'm sorry it isn't much. Take it. You can find somewhere to spend the night at least. There's a cheap Inn not further away from here."Moses collected the coins. The coins bore the Iron House, the Unicron House and the Saint House names and symbols. Indeed these people must be powerful if this city uses th

The Big contest
In the Saint House, everyone was gathered around the head of the house, Holman Saint. Holman Saint sat on the fancy chair in the room while the others sat on lower stools. They own the fanciest restaurant franchise in the world with The Saint's Plate being the only exclusive restaurant in GreenFalls. “We have a special guest arriving tonight,” Holman Saint began. “They call him the Big Boss. How many of you know about the Big boss?"A low murmur spread across the room but no one answered Holman. He wasn't surprised, GreenFalls was a very remote city. Only a few members of the Saint House has ever left the city to explore the outside world or manage their franchise business. "Very well, then I'll tell you," Holman said after a pause. "I’ve heard about the Big boss a coup

The Big Boss won't swallow
Holman’s hands shook as he clasped them behind his back, watching nervously from the shadows. It had been over an hour since the first chef’s dish was presented, and the clock continued to tick as each of the Saint House’s top chefs submitted their finest creations to the Big Boss. One by one, the Big Boss sampled the dishes—an artful seafood risotto, a delicate truffle-infused soufflé, a perfectly seared duck breast glazed in rare citrus reductions. With each bite, he’d lift his fork, place the morsel on his tongue, and chew slowly, his face revealing absolutely nothing. After only one taste, he would set his fork down, his expression as blank and impenetrable as it had been from the start. He didn’t swallow. This was the first time something like this had happened at the Saint's Plate. No one had ever not swallowed a dish. It was the greatest insult dealt to the Saint House. Holman wanted the earth to swallow him. The tension in the room grew thicker with each dish. The hea

Sandra's dish
Outside the bustling kitchen, Sandra stood silently, listening to Holman’s booming words. Each line of his anger made her realize how grave the situation was inside. She could feel the pressure weighing down on the Saint House chefs. They’d been the pride of this place for years, celebrated and honored as culinary artists, yet tonight, the Big Boss was reducing their finest to dust. A pang of sadness filled her as she listened to their desperate attempts to regain their family’s honor.Sandra’s gaze drifted down to her hands, hands that can bring even the most hardened souls to tears with a single taste. Her late husband and her son were the only people in the world who had tasted her food made with her “Gifted Hands.” She could still picture the tears, the pride in his eyes whenever he ate her food. The reason why her brother-in-laws killed her husband was simple. He wanted to make Sandra the head of the Saint House. Now, he was gone, and his family were on the brink of humil

Forgiveness
The silence in the room shattered as a wave of disbelief rippled through the gathered audience. Holman’s eyes widened and his jaws dropped. The chefs behind the doors of the kitchen all exchanged glances, their faces morphing to sheer shock. “What… what just happened?” Donovan whispered, unable to comprehend this unexpected turn of event. Margot blinked in disbelief, her poised demeanor cracking like an egg. Sandra’s face lit up with joy, her hands trembling as she held her breath, waiting for the Big Boss's response. He set down his fork. There was a glimmer of approval sparking in his eyes. “Now that,” he intoned, his deep voice softening, “is how you capture the essence of fine dining.” A stunned silence enveloped the room before the tension broke, and the chefs erupted into cheers. "She did it!" They shouted. "I can't believe she did it."Holman felt a rush of relief flood through him as he staggered back, clutching his banging heart. The Saint House had been saved, all
